I wore them out of the box and they fit great. First time out did 11 challenging miles with lots of elevation changes. I was expecting them to need a break in period but nope.

Great shoe ready to wear right out of the box. No need to break in. Only issue at least for me was the toe box was a bit small. Luckily i had tried out in store and knew I had to get a wide fit.

So glad that Merrill offers W sizes and the fit on these were perfect out of the box.

This is my fourth pair of Merrell Moab 2 Mid Ventilators. They are a quality pair of shoes. From the first pair to the current pair the fit and quality are the same. I highly recommend these shoes.

Hiking boot is light and the ventilators keep my feet nice and cool!

I hope Merrell keeps on making this shoe because it is the only shoe my husband wears. It is very sturdy, does not give him blisters, and must be made with quality materials because he is not easy on his shoes! He has worn the Moab Mid Ventilator for years, and it makes it easy on me when gift giving comes around.

I wear these boots field hunting in harsh conditions while metal detecting. They hold up extremely well.

A comfortable hiking boot after 12 miles in 95 degree of sweltering humidity. Hot spots were felt yet did not result in blisters forming. Double socks thin overlapping merino wool kept feet dry.

Somehow, possibly my mistake, I received shoes three sizes too large. But it was easy to go one line, get a return label, mail them back, and get ones the right size. I walked a couple of miles in them this morning for the first time. COMFY!

Bought two pair for work and a third for home.

I wear Merrell Boots daily as a School Resource Officer. Great fit, comfortable walking long hours and durable. Great Product! Highly Recommend!

Size runs a little bigger than other brands out there. However, it fits perfect. I can't find a boot that fits me from any other company. I wear an 11 1/2 sneaker but 11 boot from here. The width fits perfectly being I have a very wide foot where other brands are too tight. Grips well on the hiking trail.

Haven't had Merrell's in years. Been wearing keens. I liked the look of these so I bought. They fit perfectly. I was surprised. It's always a crap shoot buying online. I also was surprised how comfortable they are. I've been wearing them around the house doing construction work so will probably need another pair soon.

I've been a Merrell loyalist for about 2 decades. I have worn the soles out hiking the northeast US, to the Rockies. I swear by these shoes, and only wear them. I have 4 pair that I rotate. 2 waterproof, 2 ventilator. My newest ventilator is the second pair in all my years, that I've had an issue. A couple years back, Merrell replaced a pair that the sole delaminated.(A+ customer service). I now have a pair that shows very little wear, but the left shoe squeaks when you walk. Wet shoes sound, very odd. I thought it would disappear as they broke in, no. Could be worse I guess. Still highly recommend the hiking line.

This is similar to a set of boots I had before that were my favorite boot I've ever owned. These boots were comfortable right off the bat I'm like the pair I had before though and I've put about 30 or 40 miles on them at this point and they barely look touched and holding up really well. Highly advised! :)

The shoe fits well, was delivered promptly and the color matches the online color.

Unlike a lot of hiking boots these shoes require very little break in.

I haven't really worn them that much but when I did wear them for Thursday great comfortable and kept me on my feet that sliding around or anything

Feet aren't tried after being in them all day long

I have been wearing Merrells for a decade now and I am still amazed by the quality/price ratio. I just purchased my 2nd pair of these Moabs...last pair literally lasted 5 years. They are now just coming apart and I wear them for work and working out. I work them hard. IMHO Merrells are the best value for hard duty everyday wear and will continue buying them as lomg as they stay true to form. I would recommend that unless you are easy to shop for to go to a physical store and try some on. If you do that PLEASE buy from the store! Once you know what you like and hiw they fit get them however is convienient for you. At any rate...just get them...you wont be sorry.

Surprisingly comfortable right out of the box. Used them immediately after arrival. No foot fatigue after wearing them all day. Easy to slip on and off of feet. Not bulky or box-like as with some other boots. Great grip and traction on sloped terrain. Pull-tab loop on back of boot could be a little bigger. Finger doesn't fit in pull-tab. Overall, I know where I can buy boots that meet the expectations of my feet.

The Moab 2 Mid Ventilator is an exceptional hiking boot! Size to fit just right, very snug comfortable feeling. I like how flexible it is whether you hike in flat, gravel surfaces or up steep inclines. The traction the Mid Ventilator is second to none.
