These were my first pair of hiking boots and they did not disappoint! I needed a pair for hiking in Colorado and they were perfect and very comfortable.

I didn't have time to break these boots in, due to having to replace my old boots last minute before a planned hike. I went on a 7 mile hike in the high peaks. It rained, snowed and was incredibly muddy. Somehow my feel stayed dry the whole time. Great traction over the slippery rocks. They were very comfortable and I didn't get one blister. I highly recommend these boots. So happy I bought them! My husband has a pair as well and loves them! He wore them on a 27 mile backpacking hike in the high peaks and his feet stayed dry and they were comfortable. No complaints at all

My hikes were through dry areas. I really didn't get my boots all that wet.

So comfortable! They are so well made and fit my foot with a bunion without any pain! True to size! I were an 8 In running shoes and the 8 in this boot fits perfectly!

Comfortable right out of the box. Hiked 40 miles right away, no blisters or issues . We climbed some very steep and rocky terrain and the tread had fantastic grip and stability. There were points where we did have some watery areas and my feet stayed dry. I usually never write reviews, but I was so impressed that I had to!

I love these boots. They're my second pair. They provide great support and enhance walking and hiking.

I hike about 30-40 miles a week and this is my second pair of the same boot for a reason. They hold up reasonably well, have nice tread, are stiff enough to brace your ankle without being uncomfortable, and are honestly just the best all around boots I have found to suit my needs. I will also say that these are great just to wear around in everyday life too as someone who has weak ankles due to repeated injuries. I definitely recommend them. Make sure they fit snugly though as they do loosen up a little (as most shoes do) as they break in.

First hike- 5.2 miles up a steep rough trail with my new Merrell boots. Absolutely comfortable and my feet stayed very dry even in the creek. I ALWAYS buy Merrell hiking shoes!

This is my second pair of Moab 2 Waterproof hiking boots. I adore these boots! I bought my first pair for a month long European trip, with lots of walking and hiking, and this pair 4 years later. I have a narrow foot, and with a nice cushy New Balance insert with arch support, they can be tightened up well. The very first wearing is completely comfortable, with absolutely no break in necessary. I hike frequently on much broken wood litter and rocky trails, and the tread is gripping and very stable. I've worn them in snow and rain, with no wet socks or feet. The only thing that could be improved upon would be a higher ankle especially in the back, as I have a chunk of ankle muscle missing from a childhood bicycle injury, and really need more ankle support strapped up tight.

No break in needed. Very comfy great ankle support.

Very happy with these shoes, did a lot of hiking in them and did not experience any discomfort. Not too heavy, great traction, and very cute!

Met all expectations. Comfortable out of box! Hiked the Smoky Mountains in my new boots... they took me to the highest peak with no problems. They were warm and comfy and needed no breaking in at all. I would definitely recommend them to everyone.

Great for zookeepers! Feet stay dry, and don't need to take time to break in the shoes. Fit comfortable!

I wore these to stomp all over muddy fairgrounds in a chilly rain all day for a Renaissance Festival. By the end of the day, every part of me was damp - except for my feet which were comfy, dry, and warm. I can only imagine how great they'll be on an actual hike.

This makes my third pair of the same boots (revamped over time) and I still love them! The only reason(s) I've needed more over the years is due to accidents with concrete and such, causing me to retire my older pairs. I hike, do construction work, and wear these as everyday drivers and they've never let me down.

Comfortable out of the box, excellent quality, and quickly received!

I was looking for waterproof hiking boots for a trip to Iceland. I wanted wide sizing so I could wear thick socks, and these fit the bill. They are a little bit stiff, but do not really need any break-in.

Extremely comfortable. I purchased because of other reviews claiming there's no need to break them in beforehand and they were right. Haven't had to test the waterproof feature yet but I'm sure I will down the road.
