I purchased a pair of 9.5 D Gel Contend 4s to replace my 9.5 D Gel Contend 3s. The newer model is cut very differently. The forefoot is extremely narrow, more of a B width than a D, and the shoe is much shorter than the previous version in the same size, at least a half size shorter. I do not know if the shoe was mislabeled or if ASICS has changed the last, but I had to return these. This was my first purchase from Zappos, and I am quite disappointed that the information about the shoe did not match the reality. Not a great 1st experience.

I cannot buy Asics locally, but have a pair I like better than my N1Ke, I ordered the same size and width(4E) as my current ones and they fit perfect. Lightweight, look nice, great stability and traction...Love Them

Great multi-purpose athletic shoe!

I think these are my favorite shoes ever. I tried New Balance on my last order and within 2 wearings, every time I slide my foot out, I pull the insole with it. The NBs were more expensive so why can't they afford glue to keep their insoles in. By the way, the NB insoles, crease and break and then become as much use as a chocolate coffee cup. These are not quite as big inside as the equivalent NBs were but if that's an issue just go a size larager

Great shoe!

Very good shoe for running and playing outdoors. My feet feel much better after a bout of playing outdoor pickup sports.

Hallelujah! Literally after 10 pairs of shoes, I found one that was wide enough to fit my 4E foot. I was in the Nimbus 18, but the Nimbus 19 was too narrow, as are most shoes for me. This was the closest fit, and look, by far to the Nimbus 18, and half the price of the other shoes i tried and returned.

I bought these shoes for my grandson. He has worn Asics before and he says they are the best shoes...very comfortable for an almost teenager.

I bought 2 pairs of this shoe. They have a good feel to them and good arch support. Interestingly one pair was manufactured in Indonesia and the inserts are different than the second pair made in Vietnam. The pair made in Vietnam are noticeably more comfortable. I’m not sure if you can specify, but that’s what I found.

Very comfortable sneakers, perfect for summer time, light and breathable. My husband enjoys wearing them to the gym and for a walk.

Ive never had a pair of these shoes, and noticing they had 4E width, I decided to give them a try. So far so good. they're very light and look great. They're not very cushiony on the bottom. but for a 50.00-70-00 shoe, I didn't expect much more I put Super feet insoles in them, and it helps a lot. I have them in all my sneakers because of plantar Fasciitis problems once in a while. But, overall, this is a fairly comfortable shoe. I Don't think they would hold up very long if you run in them every day, but I don't run anymore, so I think they will last me a while for what I use then for, which is just everyday wear. I'm glad I found another affordable shoe with a wide width size. I'm Happy about that!

Always hesitant to buy shoes without trying them on. Zappos return policy alleviates that concern

Ordered a half size longer then normal, still a little snug in length and width. I am hoping with use they will stretch a little. They do run a little small. I've always taken a 12 m, so it was very unusual to be snug in a 12 1/2 m. Nice shoe though.
