First pair of Asics in a long time. I have been a Nike Pegasus guy for many years. It has been a week and I love these Asics. If the price stays low, Im a customer.

I am very happy with the size and the width, the fit is great. I bought the Contend-4 for work and I'm on my feet all day long and the shoe's feel great. I was also impressed with Zappos as well , I ordered on a Monday evening and Tuesday afternoon the shoes were delivered.

My second pair of GEL-Contend 4s. The first pair is still great, but I wanted to have another pair for another location. Hard to find good, WIDE athletic shoes, but these fit the bill. They have a softer feel than some running and walking shoes, so might not be the best for long runs on hard surfaces. They're fine for a four-mile walk or so on pavement -- longer on dirt -- and for wearing around town.

I have a pair of these shoes in white which I purchased last year, 6 months ago but this pair did not fit the same. Noticed that the toe box was shorter and the shoe was not as wide.

Asics always fit me well in 4E. Also, the fact that I wore an Asics wrestling shoe back in the day and, well, I like that too. I was going to buy a pair in white, but they were sold out so I purchased a pair of Nikes. Not really fond of Nike's political support of liberal issues, but I will give them a shot nevertheless. I've worn Nikes in the past, and never really felt good about them. The Gel Contend 4 is a really good, well fitting shoe. I wish they would have been available in white.

I have been buying Asics Gel shoes since 1990. I have a very wide foot and its hard to find shoes that fit without squeezing my feet. The Asics Gel-Contend 4 does the job perfectly. I can walk or run for hours without any discomfort at all. The look great and the GEL makes the so comfortable and relaxing to your feet.

Extremely comfortable right out of the box. Very lightweight; like walking on air. Very happy with my purchase.

WEARING ORTHOTICS IN ALL MY SHOES HAS REQUIRED MY HAVING A TENNIS/WALKING/RUNNING SHOE THAT IS STILL VERY COMFORTABLE EVEN AFTER THE SEMI-RIGID PLASTIC ORTHOTIC ARCH SUPPORTS HAVE BEEN INSERTED. WELL, ASICS FOR ONE, PERFECTLY FIT THAT BILL. THERE ARE PROBABLY OTHER BRANDS OF SHOES THAT WOULD BE JUST AS COMFORTABLE...BUT WHEN I FIND A SHOE (ASICS) THAT DOES THE JOB, WELL I STICK WITH THAT BRAND. BUT DRIVING AROUND TO MANY SHOE STORES, HOPING(!) YOU'LL FIND A COLOR/STYLE YOU CAN "LIVE WITH"...WELL GOOD LUCK..... Zappos.com MUST LITERALLY HAVE AT LEAST 100 STYLES & COLORS OF ASICS SHOES. AND IT IS IMPOSSIBLE TO HAVE AN AUTOMOBILE ACCIDENT, OR GET STUCK IN SNOW WHEN YOU'RE AT YOUR COMPUTER IN A NICE, COZY HOUSE, PICKING OUT A STYLE AND COLOR OF ASICS THAT WILL FIT PERFECTLY, AND THAT YOU WILL FREAKING LOVE. ANY DRAWBACK AT ALL? IF YOU CONSIDER A 4 DAY WAIT UNTIL THEY ARRIVE A PROBLEM, WELL GOOD LUCK, AND I'LL BE SURE TO WATCH THE DR. Great sneaker for the casual runner! A great value for the price. Very comfortable. As always, Zappos gets them to me fast.

I’m standing and walking for 5-10 hours a day at my job and these shoes fit and feel really good. They breathe very well through the toe mesh so you may consider that if you’re living or working in a cold environment. Cold toes! But I would definitely recommend these for a casual work shoe.

My son runs for Special Olympics and in the occasional 5 and 10K runs. He is a very loyal Nike brand owner. He loves this shoe....especially the red so I bought this as a second pair to have on hand for him!

I have been wearing ASICS shoes for several years and have always been pleased with the look, feel and comfort. This sneaker is one of the best I have had. After ordering this one, I purchased two more of the Gel-Contend 4. Highly recommend this particular shoe.

This is the second pair in this style that I've purchased. I've had the first pair for years, and they still look new. (I just wanted a second pair specifically for use on the treadmill.) They're lightweight, durable, and comfortable. Very pleased overall.

This shoe is very conformable. True to size. Look great!

Since I already owned a pair I just chose the same size/width. Perfect fit and delivered lightning fast!!

Bought these for my husband. He's a huge ASICS' fan. He has a high arch and spends most of his days on his feet. I think he's worn these to work every day since I bought them for him. The dark blue/silver/safety yellow is a great color combo too.

The GEL-Contend 4 fits perfectly. They are comfortable and look great. I have worn ASICS shoes for several years and find them to fit me better than all other brands.
