You get what you pay for . Go with the better Asics .

Never had a pair of sneakers come apart at the toe as quickly as these did. Otherwise, they're pretty good but thanks to that one flaw they became my gardening shoes after a month. Come on, Asics, you can use stronger glue than that, no?

The forefoot region of the GEL-Contend 4 is far narrower than for the GEL-Contend 3 it replaces. Even though it is labeled as D width, the forefoot is closer to a B width. Either the shoes are mislabeled, or ASICS has made a major change to the design of the shoe. In addition, this is short for the listed size of 9.5. As is, this shoe is unwearable for me, and I have worn ASICS shoes for many years. I will no longer buy ASICS products after this. Zappos listed these as a standard fit, which is far from the case. Extremely disappointing first experience buying through Zappos despite the rapid shipping and good price.

ASICS has changed the size on this shoe! Felt a bit small and very uncomfortable. Used to love this shoe, esp the 4E width. But now I will have to find another show to wear.

This is the first time I would say this shoe is poorly made , the whole shoe lost it"s support in about 2 weeks . It became loose and not wearable . I bought 3 other contends and never had a problem . It was a total disappointment . I have wasted my money .

Way too narrow and small, could not wear even 1/2 size larger. Returning.

I've bought so many pairs of Asics for both myself and my children. They usually hold up great. This one had an issue with the sole coming detached where it wraps up the front of the shoe with only a week of wear.

Not a chance these are 4e. Do not buy if you actually wear a 4e

This example was smaller than marked size. One shoe was built lop-sided. Returned for refund. I have had 12 pair of this model & in my experience quality control has worsened over the years.

I have been a die hard, ASICS fan. They have been the most comfortable and best fitting shoes. I especially like the cushioning in the soles. Unfortunately that is no longer the case. I have returned the last couple of ASICS that I have bought and notices in reviews that I'm not the only one with that issue. On the other hand, Zappos is my favorite company to do business with. their return procedures are second to none.

This shoe is a joke. It squeaks all the time. I have tried to put baby powder inside it only helps for 1or 2 days. Started the very first day. I should have returned and got my money back . Will never buy these shoes again. My family and co workers can here me coming from a distance and its embarrassing . Don't buy these shoes.

This is my 5th pair of this style. Unfortunately it appears ASICS has changed the sizing. As a result these shoes are no longer comfortable! I will have to find another shoe to wear.
