Second pair of these pants. I wear them all summer long if I am not wearing the capri style. The length is good for me as I prefer a longer pant leg than shorter. Very comfortable and can be dressed up or down.

These pants are incredibly comfortable and cute, good for around town and the trail. I first bought them in graphite/gray. Loved them so much I bought a tan and black pair, too.

I cannot even estimate how many pairs of hiking pants I have tried on this spring. 20? I am 5'4" and 155, typically a size 8 in pants, and for some reason it has just been impossible to find something comfortable and reasonably okay looking and not a million dollars. My biggest problem has been inseam length: even when an item has been marked 30" inseam it has been too long. I am SO HAPPY I found these. (in Medium/Short in case that doesn't show.) The fit is dreamy comfortable. Wide non-pinching waistband, great range of motion. The fabric is super soft and lightweight and doesn't have that tent texture that some DWR-treated cloth gets. The length covers the top and cut-away sides of my hiking sneakers without bunching up, and I can wear these with flats/flip flops no problem. Praise be the the god of short folks. I don't fully understand the puckered leg design. It looks a bit sloppy to me without any purpose, but it's okay - I would not feel awkward going to a casual dinner place in these post-hike. The one thing I simply do not like is the elastic at the ankle. Seems like a good idea, and I thought it would be nice to maybe turn these into capris, but as far as I can tell it's totally useless. There's no method to keep the elastic in place one you've cinched so it just...un-cinches immediately. Am I doing something wrong? Did I get a defective pair? Still 5 stars overall. Really happy with these and highly recommend them.

I purchased these pants specifically for a hiking trip in the Pacific Northwest. I liked the soft waistband and the elastic drawstring at the ankles, and the soft, quick drying material. I thought these pants would be suitable for the trip. They were, and then some. These pants are beyond comfortable, and transitioned easily from beach to rainforest to dinner in Tofino. I didn't do any technical hiking/climbing in these pants, but they made it through Ape Cave just fine- no tears or rips despite my clumsiness.

These are so versatile I could live in them (different colors per day of course). They are comfortable, fashionable, work and look as great on the trail as they do in the city. Give them a try! You won't be disappointed.

The best good looking hike/ yoga/ travel/ errands and parks or just lounging without looking too relaxed in front of your guests with “ pijamas “. I have few for myself over the years and for my sisters. Thank you Zappos for the outstanding customer service as always .

These pants are a must! I NEED another color! They feel amazingly comfortable and the fit is on point!!! I bought them for a hiking trip in October but I use any and every excuse to wear them!!

I purchased these pants for travel to Europe & Alaska. I now wear them everywhere, every day, because They are comfortable breathable, warm enough when needed, cool enough when needed, plus they look great. They wash easily. I now have every color. They are my go to pant for daytime. I love the zip pocket. Wish Northface would add one more zip pocket. The fit is the best.

These pants are super comfortable and great for lounging and long hikes. The fit is pretty relaxed, not too baggy or too loose. I will definitely be purchasing another pair!

WOW! These pants are AMAZING! I reluctantly (due to price) bought them for hiking and was pleased to discover just how wonderful they are. Not only are they super comfy (soft, lightweight) but also cute enough to wear with sandles; making them the perfect pants for traveling. Now I’m considering another pair in a different color. Onl wish they came in 28” length. I’m 5’ 165 and the XL fit a little loose (perfect for me).

Great for a long hiking trip in the National parks of Utah. I had two pairs and wore them a ton!

I love these pants. I wish they had more colors. I have 6 pairs some of the same color the shorts and the Capri style. They are comfortable for my long (12 hour shifts) work day. I can make them look dressy with a cute top and some loafers. I take a walk on my break so I slip on my walking shoes woth these breezy, comfortable, flexible pants and go for a walk. I haven't found anything better.
