North Face has ruined the sizing on my favorite pants. I see other similar comments. I have bought several pairs of these pants every year for many years. For the past 2 years, the size Medium Short Pants have been lower on the waist, shorter in the crotch, and tighter in the waist with a different less soft material used for the waist. I tried the Large and they are huge like an XL instead of being just slightly bigger than the mediums. I don't understand why you would change the sizing on these pants beloved by so many. I see comments by some other people who regularly bought these pants and also had the same issue. I tired ordering a few different colors over the past 2 years to see if it was just a fluke but all had the same new sizing. Please please please go back to your old sizing/pattern so those of us who love these pants can return to buying them! Please compare the old pattern to the new pattern and figure out how to go back to the old pattern for the size Medium. The old pattern was great and beloved by many. Thank you.

Like so many other reviewers, my experience with these pants is that they very quickly get pulls and also pill. When I first tried them on I sat on my bed, and got a pull in them. I've only worn them for 5 days, and they have a bunch of pulled fabric all over them. And pilling. I'm really sorry I bought these, especially having paid full price (which I try not to do). There's no way I can return them to either Zappos or North Face, so I'm stuck. I bought another pair of hiking pants at the same time for half the price and wore them the same amount of time in similar situations, and they look like new.

No good for active hiking or walking. Just wear for casual. Not up to the quality expeted for a North Face garment

I love these pants and have purchased multiples in several colors, but have been frustrated in my efforts to repurchase the very light gray that The North Face sold in the past. What they're picturing as the very light gray, a perfect summer color for California, is actually a medium gray heather. Since they never offered these pants in a capri, I'll keep checking. Purchasing another couple of pairs and shortening them myself is an easy solution. Come on TNF, go back to the pale gray. It was lovely.

Got these as the winds began to blow cool on my favorite mountain trails. The fit is strangeas if the parts didn't fit together. Very long, tight through butt but hard to keep up. Legs are quite taperednot a great fit over boots, and restrict range of motion. Heavier fabric than expected. Bunch and wrinkle at knees and crotch. Package the pants arrived in had a private individual's typewritten name and return address. Many tags included, most printed in (Chinese?), did not arrive in the usual North Face bag. I feel like I got knockoffs, although shorts I ordered same day are fine. Uncomfortable, don't allow free motion, unattractive. I can't imagine wearing these at all.

Fit was fine, they flatter a pear shape. However, the fabric was thin and shiny. I bought the original pant a year or two ago and it was much better quality.

Disappointed in the change in sizing. I have the "medium" in this same brand and in the same style and it fits fine. This small/medium combination is much too small. I thought that I had ordered the medium in Aphrodite 2.0 and was very disappointed to discover that the medium wasn't a medium. Why abandon the small/medium/large sizing of this popular pant?

I use these for working out and casual everyday wear. Have bought them several years in a row. The new Flash Dry fabric is awful. It feels like paper, it's not warm and at the same it does not breathe. It reminds me of wearing the old things called Sauna Suits made out of plastic. I bought 4 pairs and am sorry I did, worn them, washed them, tossed them in the second hand bin. I hope next year North Face does better on the fabric.

I've discovered that the same size pant may be an inch or so smaller, depending on which foreign country they are made. So, it's impossible to just order them online, and expect to receive a pair that fits. They are made in several different countries.

The capris fit perfectly, but in the pant, it was too tight just below the "stretch" band at the waist. I wish it fit, but had to send it back.

XS size "APHRODITE 2.0 CAPRIS" fits perfect, but this long pants is too small around waist. This may be defective since waist does not stretch like Capri pants. I wanted long version of the Capris, but I will return this.

Fit was fairly true to size, but these were the frumpiest, ugliest pants I have ever tried on. Hiking is not a fashion show, but there is not reason for our pants to be utterly ugly. Aphrodite would not approve of her name being used for these. The only good thing I can say about them is that Zappos is great about returns.

i had the medium of these in grey and have worn them for several years. i needed new ones. and have gained a little weight in my butt, so i ordered the large. overall, the large was too big in the waste so they wouldn't have worked for me. but the reason for the review is that i ordered several colors because i couldn't decide from the pictures which ones i wanted. the blue ones had something wrong with them. i coudn't even get them on. there are several layers of stitching in the waste band to keep the elastic in place, but one of them was so tight i couldn't even get them over my thighs. again, the other colors i ordered in a large were way too big. so something was wrong here. regardless, the sizing is off. because the mediums i had previously still fit but are a getting tight. the large in this new style are waaay too big.

Fit was very different from the Aphrodite pants I bought 2 years ago. Very disappointing. The legs were tighter fitting so not great for my strength training. Had to return

I tried to like it, but after a week of thinking, decided to return the pants. First problem is the unflattering look of the stirring style, especially when running in long length (too much ruffles as a result). Second is the very thin material, which gives a feel of low quality. Last but not least is the unsupportive, wide waist band. It would be better if there is a thicker layer of stretchable band underneath the cloth. The pants looks better as PJ pants.

Black pair fit perfect. Blue pair was marked the same size, but fit so tight I could barely get them on. Be aware the sizing is OFF.

Poor quality hiking pants. Flimsy drawstring didn't hold pants up. Cheap drawstring hems don't stay up. I saw these pants at REI with a "discontinued" sign on them, for $50. If you want to do anything but the most easy of hikes, don't get these pants.

I own 3 pairs of Aphrodite pants. I was excited to see they now sell an Aphrodite 2.0, only to be disappointed that you stopped making them in XXL. I'm a registered nurse and I loved these pants for work as an alternative to scrubs but to my dismay I will no longer be able to buy them. Not cool Northface, women come in all shapes and sizes.
