Lovely jacket, nice colors however at 5'0 this jacket hit me at the wrong places, sizing down didn't help. I love that this jacket comes in an array of colors and up to 3XL but please TNF, offer petite FOR US short women out there.

The jacket was too big. I used the Fit finder online, and i'm swimming in this jacket, it suggested M but I think I need XS. I will return it, but I won't purchase it online again. I will just go to the store, because now I have to pay for the return and they don't offer exchange!

Although I loved the appearance of this jacket and the versatility of it; it did not seem to run true to size versus other jackets I've previously purchased from TNF company.

Good jacket for wet conditions, but not for high input activity as it has poor breathability. The major problem I had with the two Venture jackets I owned is that they delaminated without having been worn that often, despite cleaning them regularly to remove sweat.

Was very disappointed with this. I bought this jacket in April and have only just got round to using it in proper rain & it does an awful job of keeping me dry! It just gets soaked through & seems to absorb the water making the inside of the jacket wet

The Venture jacket arrived with the quality one would expect from North Face. I purchased according to the online guidelines and my own experience, but the jacket was considerably smaller than expected. Given how small it was, I was reluctant to even try the next size up.
I would recommend the jacket with a caution to order sizing larger.

I ordered this jacket online and ended up returning it the day after I received it. I like the style and the bright pink color, the fact that it has a hood, and that it is waterproof. It was extremely thin and hardly wind-resistant at all... I literally felt like I was wearing a plastic bag. The material is crinkly (for lack of a better word) and make a lot of noise when you move around. If you live somewhere where it is usually warm and rainy, it probably would suit your needs but here in Washington I need something a little thicker for the rainy season as it tends to get chilly.

I am 4'10" and 85lb. Even though I used their fit finder which recommended the XS, it was way too big on me. Although fine on the shoulders sleeves are too long and the width is large. It would be ok if wearing over a down jacket but the shape is not very flattering. Returning it asap. I guess need kiddies size.

This is a nice looking jacket. Great just for going for a walk in.
The jacket however, doesn't breath and it causes me to freeze because I get soaked in my own sweat.

I ordered it one size larger and I had to return it.
I didn't re-order it, though, because it "cracks" when worn. The fabric is thick and has a "carton" consistency, so it makes a cracking sound and the fabric is hard. Difficult to wear.

I was so so excited to get this jacket. I ordered it in Purdy pink. When I opened my package a huge rush of disappointment came over me. It looks beautiful online but it looks like a nasty faded eggshell with the faintest pink color. Be careful! Had to return immediately.

I've used this jacket every day its rained for the last year, and now it doesn't keep me dry at all. I have an older version of this jacket that I purchased a year ago. I loved it when I got it. Its stylish, a good weight for the summer/warmer months, and kept me dry whether I was biking, walking, or hiking. Now, every time it rains i still get wet. No holes, or wear or tear, just straight up stopped repelling water. Very disappointing after the amount paid.

I ordered this and when I got it and tried it on I liked the look of the jacket but it was very thin. Only a wind breaker. I was looking for something with a little more weight to it.

Dear The North Face,
Please stop lining your jacket pockets with mesh. Especially in stowable coats. Mesh rips so easily. When you are shoving your coat in the pocket to store it anything can catch the mesh and rip it.
Thanks.

I really wanted to love this jacket, but there were too many flaws. The color, however, was not one of them. I did like the "Budding Green" and would recommend especially with spring just around the corner. However, the fabric was the first challenge - I didn't care for the crinkly sound and feel. Next, I am 5'4" and short waisted. The sleeves were beyond long even with the adjustable tabs. The kicker was that the bottom of the jacket and my curvy build cannot co-exist. I wish I had an athletic build and could wear this jacket, but I think it is better suited for those women who do. Returning in hopes that it will delight someone else.

Unfortunately the jacket I received is marked as a "relaxed fit" rather than "active fit," which translates to "not fitted at all." The product pictures make it seem fitted, and I can't find anywhere on the product page that indicates that this would be the relaxed fit version. It's a really unflattering cut.
