I bought this jacket because I needed a good-for-everything rain jacket, and I knew several people who loved their TNF rain jackets. I wanted the black jacket with the Kokomo Green logos, but instead had to settle for the Black Heather. The pictures of the Black Heather and just plain Black jackets online looked identical, so I ordered the Black Heather/Kokomo Green and couldn't wait for it to get here! When I received the jacket, the color was NOT what I was expecting. The color is Grey with an odd matte finish to it or something. I was so disappointed. Also, the jacket hits right below the hips, which is way too short for comfort. If you like room-to-move and coverage for your bottom, I suggest going up a size.

I thought it would be warmer. There's no installation, just a shell of a coat.

I bought this in Fall 2014. Since then I moved to an area that rains a lot and took it on a backpacking trip to the Sierras (where it rained/hailed/snowed for 4 days in July, despite the epic drought!). For walking around town and running errands in light rain, it's fine. But in anything more than a light rain, the outer material will get/stay wet. It does NOT bead water, like I expect a raincoat to do. The rubber coating on the interior of the jacket will keep you and your clothes dry, but you will feel the chill and dampness of the outer material. Otherwise, I like the cut and style of the jacket. It's just not my go to rain jacket in anything more than a light rain. If you live somewhere where it rains a lot, I do NOT recommend this jacket.

Love the color & design of the jacket but too much of an old/loud raincoat feel to it.

If it's barely sprinkling this jacket does the job, but if it's needed during a storm this jacket will leave you wet and cold.

I purchased this rain jacket about 2 years ago. I love the style and fit. But after a 45 minute walk in the rain I am wet on the inside due to condensation! The entire lining of the jacket is wet! It's OK to wear out and about, but not for exercise. Disappointed!

I was so excited to get this jacket. It seemed perfect for when I go walking here in Oregon. It is super cute. It has plenty of room for layering. I am 5'5 and have a 38DD bust, which was the basis for the size I ordered. I might have been able to go a size down but It looks great. Here is why the 2 stars. I went on a walk in the jacket and it was not breathable but it was cute and supposed to be waterproof so I decided to keep it. Then, I went walking and found myself in brief moment of light rain while on my walk. This jacket did not keep one part of me dry. When I got home the inside was wet all over and my fleece under it was wet too.

This jacket did not meet the North Face standards in my book. The jacket looked good, felt soft and the style up to date but the material was not of a good quality. Nonetheless the jacket was sent back.

The jacket is basically plastic and $100 is a little mch for the quality in my opinion..I love north face but thought I would have gotten more for that kind of money.

I returned the jacket because it was rubbery on the inside. Not a good summer rain jacket. Also, I had to pay for the return. Most companies offer free shipping and return shipping.

Don't get me wrong the jacket was beautiful and well made. Everything you would expect from Northface . It was the color ! I expected a soft pink from the picture on the web site but it arrived as a very BOLD fluorescent melon color. Not at all what I was looking for.

The jacket looks nice and warm from online but I personally think the material isn't warm at all and it's a lot thinner than it appears

New meaning to "light jacket". Ridiculously thin, flimsy, what can I say. Disappointed coming from Northface. Too expensive what it is. Nice features but tooooooo thin.

I returned the jacket because it was a windbreaker. Looking at the picture of it online it looked like it had a liner in it but it doesn't. My daughter wanted a heavier jacket, this one was very light weight and was more like a rain jacket.

I ordered this jacket to throw on over a t-shirt when its a little rainy, but when I put it on the first time I was shocked. I have long arms for my torso length so I thought a medium would be a good size and maybe I would be able to have a light hoodie on underneath. I could wear a parka underneath this thing! You literally cannot see my body its so large. Now I have to send it back & wait for a new one to come. Just praying it doesn't rain for a few weeks, otherwise I'm gonna get really wet.
Also, its very loud. Like, I move my arms and people 50 feet away can hear it...
And why do I need zippers under my armpits? I don't plan on sweating in the rain... and if I do, I wouldn't unzip it so that my sides get all wet. How does that even make sense?
I love the color (frosty blue, it actually looks like the picture!) but I'm disappointed to say the least.

I really like this jacket for being light weight and fits really well. I'm highly disappointed that it is not waterproof as marketed and huge reason why i spent the money on it thinking this was it a stylish rain jacket that fit me really well. Standing in pouring rain last night at a concert I was soaked and cold because this jacket is not totally waterproof. I would rethink how this product is marketed.
