I needed something versatile, light and water absorbing/blocking for my trek through the Amazon. I found these pants true to size (very roomy in the rear which was great), and just long enough - I'm 5'10", 220 lbs. I appreciated the convertible roll up feature and position/type of pockets too. These pants should be worn in warmer climates.

The pant fits well and seems to wear well. I wish it had buttons instead of snap closures, but that's a personal preference. Some of the seams are in odd places and take a little getting used to. Stretchy material makes it comfortable. Overall good pant.

I love how stretchy and nonrestrictive these pants are. They are definitely lightweight - good for 3-season walking/hiking but not for cold-weather use. I am pear shaped and prefer a bit higher waist and these fit perfectly - the waist band hits just a smidgen below my natural waist so they don't bind or bulge at all.

These pants are like having that perfect little black dress!
After your favorite activity you can go out for dinner without a wardrobe change!
They are very flattering for those of us with full figures!

These are literally the most comfortable pants that I have ever worn. I was travelling to Yosemite and knew I would need proper hiking pants. Columbia is the only one who actually made plus-sized pants. I was a little nervous that they would be very unflattering but they weren't. I ended up wearing them every single day as they were so good. They were even better than my yoga pants. They were both cool and warm (I don't know how that works but it does) and they dried very quickly after being completely soaked by the various waterfalls. Highly recommend.

Great pants. Love the style and the fit of the legs. Returned because they run small.

I like these pants a lot and have had several pairs, however most recent purchase of two pairs fit tighter than my previous pairs. I still wear the old ones, so I don't know if they have stretched over the years or the sizing is a bit different now. The one other problem I have with these are the pockets. Like so many women's clothing the pockets aren't sufficient. Even just a tube of chapstick is liable to fall out of the two slash pockets. The little thigh zip pocket is where I put things like a key fob and chapstick. Back pocket is big enough for my phone. It would just be nice if the two pockets where you put your hands were deeper.
However, despite the few issues as above, these are one of my favorite pants. They hold up to everything, even construction! I wore my first 3 pairs almost daily through a major renovation at my house for over a year and while they look rougher, they are still intact and wearable. I still wear them hiking several years later.

I bought these to wear on a trip to Alaska. They are well made, comfortable in cooler or warmer weather, perfect for walking, touring, on a boat or at dinner. I want to give them 5 stars, but the front pockets are terrible.
Let me explain- the pockets are deep enough to put your hands in, but not deep enough to keep small items in. There's very little "lip" at the side seam, which means that when you sit down, your Chapstick, keys, and small Swiss Army knife just slide right out onto the seat. You can forget about keeping your phone in there. I had to keep my coins and small things in the zippered thigh pocket which is not very big.
If they redesigned these to have better front pockets, I would buy multiple pairs in all the colors, that's how comfy they are.

I have several other models of Columbia pants, and the Saturday Trail pants seem to be true to size and have a similar fit through the thighs and hips. However, the waist is non-stretchy so you may need to size up just for the waist. These pants seem to be designed for someone with a small waist and large thighs. I'm glad the waist is non-stretchy so hopefully it won't stretch out and start sagging after a few hours. The inseam is true to size and similar to other Columbia pants. The hand pockets are deep but they have a wide opening so stuff falls out of them. The hip pockets are also deep and large enough to hold a phone. The zippered thigh pocket is useless, maybe you could hold a chapstick or something.

Very nice. Perfect length for this tall women. I wish the side zippered pocket was a little bigger.

These pants are nicely made and wear well. I love that there are snaps on the front instead of a shank. The waist, however, gaps in the back. Having 3 belt loops in back would be a big improvement. The zippered pocket isn't sewn in place, so sometimes it's to the back of the side seam rather than the front, which is annoying. (I think it was in earlier versions or maybe the shorts version, and that was much nicer.)

I bought these for cycle touring this summer they are comfortable and lightweight and basically exactly what I was looking for except a few minor things. The snaps that hold up the rolled pants are rather hard to get snapped -since they are tucked away it is hard not to get a little fabric pinched in the snap and then it doesn't fasten. Also, I ordered a size up because Columbia clothes tend to run small on me. These are not small - a little too roomy even with my cycling liners. I will probably order a size smaller.

Columbia, thank you for having plus sized bottoms in short lengths! Petite is too short but Regular is too long when you're 5'4 / 5'5". These were perfect for my inseam. The overall fit was probably a little smaller so you might want to size up. The unfortunate showstopper for me was the Straight Leg. I had too much extra material in my lower calves and ankles where it was flopping around. PLEASE consider a tapered leg in these and I will buy every color!

Great length for tall girl (6ft); like the rise; front pockets not deep but flattering on full hips; I'm happy with sizing up 1 size (ordered 20W tall, usually 18w tall); after wearing the material does stretch out and becomes a little baggy. Great sun protection, material good for 3 seasons!

I'm 6' tall, hourglass, wide hips, low belly, full thighs, cinched waist for reference- the tall length was really great, truly long enough. I usually wear a size 18 in AE or Universal Standard high-rise jeans with stretch. I ordered a 22W in these and knew they were too big right away but I decided to keep them because I could wear leggings underneath for warmth and didn't mind them being baggy for camping trips. That said, I'm considering getting another pair in black in size 20W and think it will fit nicely.

I have multiple pairs of Columbia pants and all fit about the same so I ordered my same size and these ended up being way too small in the waist and I had to return. These have no stretch or "give" in the waist so no way to make them work. Other than that, they would have been nice pants.

I like the weight of these pants since I'm in a warm climate. I like the way you can roll the pants up too.

These pants fit great if you like the regular rise in the crotch to the waist. They have many pockets available to use with closures so that whatever you put inside doesn't fall out with whatever activity you choose to do. The fabric will dry very quickly but I dislike fabric with static that clings to me and the regular rise in the crotch to the waist band which is why I only gave them 4 stars. Otherwise, I love the pants and the way they fit and function but will return due to static issue.

These pants are extremely comfortable and easy to move around in. As suggested by other reviews, I did size up one from my usual Columbia pant size and they fit well. My one complaint would be the lack of availability of the long length in larger sizes, as these run just a tad bit short in comparison to other Columbia pant styles.

I had to size up 1 from my normal Columbia pants size, mostly because of the structured waistband. I appreciate the pockets and good quality. Definitely recommend!

I ordered the same size I wear in other Columbia pants but these run a bit too small. They fit in the waist and thighs but the caves and in seam are an uncomfortable cut. I returned and ordered one size larger and they felt so much better. I may need to get a belt but it is better than the feel of the smaller size. The material is great. Like the belt loops and the ability to become capris. I wish the pockets were deeper AND wished they had cargo pockets. Overall I like them and will buy more for my Alaska trip.
