I am an avid runner who has been looking for a shoe like this for the past several years! I run long to middle distances, have had knee issues and most recently had hip surgery to reconstruct my labrum. I had been running in HOKA Cliftons but found that not being able to feel the ground was creating problems with my running form. My knee issues quickly came back. For me, maintaining proper running form seems easier in a lower drop (4mm) shoe, but one that also allows you to feel the ground. However, I still need the cushioning. I wasn't getting the responsiveness I needed from my HOKA's so when I found this shoe, it seemed like had everything I was looking for. And I was right! This shoe is the BEST shoe I have put on my feet in years! It's well cushioned, 4mm drop, nice wide toe box and responsive. I was able to run in these straight out of the box with zero issues, and my knee did not hurt! I really love this shoe and will probably be buying several more pairs. They do definitely run a half a size small. I normally wear a size 9 in running shoes and the 9.5 fit perfectly. Thank you Saucony and Zappos!

Overall a great shoe! Super comfy- need to go up 1/2 size though. Not a ton of cushioning but then again the shoe would be much heavier with more cushioning- these are very light!

I run between 30-40 miles per week. I'm obsessed with the Adidas Ultra Boost. These are my running shoe soulmates. I bought the Saucony Freedoms because I really try not to run every single run in my Ultra Boosts. Compared to other backup shoes I've tried (Brooks Glycerin, Nike Lunarepic), the Freedoms are better. I'd never use them for a long run, but for 5-6 miles they are workable. I don't find them to be energizing at all compared to Ultra Boosts. I usually wear a women's 9.5 in normal (non-running) shoes, 9.5 in Ultra Boosts, and 10s in all other running shoes. I needed a 10.5 in these. They are nice looking shoes, if you care about that.
The Freedoms are light, and I do appreciate having lower drop shoes in my rotation.
I realize this is an extremely specific review, but I hope it helps someone else!

I love the colors I have the pink and purple ones and the blue ones and I have always had issues finding the right shoes to wear for work and I love these shoes I work in a warehouse constantly walking around on hard concrete floors and I have some nerve damage and planter fasciitis and have tried many other shoes and I always go back to my sauconys because I don't have all the issues with foot pain like I do with other shoes and the freedom iso gave me great stability and cushioning other shoes wouldn't I know it's a shoe for running but it's also a good shoe to wear for work its lightweight and very durable too

I've previously owned different versions of the Saucony Triumph ISO series. I love how lightweight the Freedom is and they feel great when I am running!

This is my 3rd pair of these shoes. I've worn for distances up to a half marathon, but work great for shorter distances and sprints.

I made a previous review where I lauded this shoe for comfort etc. I had forgotten I'd followed others suggestions and ordered a 1/2 size up. I normally wear 8 1/2 but I got these in a 9 and they are perfect. I just received my new Kinvara 10's in an 8 1/2 and they fit great so I don't know what gives on the sizing of this shoe but you won't be disappointed with the performance!

I've owned Saucony running shoes consistently for over 7 years. I use them for walking. They fit my feet much better than "walking shoes". The .4 offset is great.
I especially like the very thin tongue that keeps the shoelaces off my feet, but also stays put in the middle of the shoe.
I walk every day 2-2.5 miles.
This style runs a little small. I read the other reviews and ordered 1/2 size up. It is perfect with heavy socks for the winter. One star off on style because I could only get them in a very bright aqua/blue.

The best shoe I've ever owned! I purchased a half size larger than I normally wear and they were perfect. Every time I have this shoe on I have to tell someone how much I love it. I have signed up for a few 5ks just to wear this shoe as intended.

I used these to train on hills and I'm amazed how well the sole and heel are holding up. I bought a second pair .

This shoe, with it's continuous everrun sole, ultra light weight, and amazing cushion (even though the sole feels thinner - how'd they do that?) is my replacement for the Ride.
First, I've been a Saucony-only runner-now-walker for over 30 years. I've tried other brands, and always come back to Saucony for fit and performance. I like a nice wide toe box, and a neutral last. I also learned fairly early on that your running shoe should aways be a half size larger than your normal shoe size - that was a game changer for me!
I've been wearing the Ride for about 10 years with no complaint, However, at 56 I've developed a slight strain in one foot, and a nagging pain in my hip. In looking at biomechanics, it seems the heel strike may have been a bit too much. So this time out, I decided to try the Freedom for its 4mm drop (Ride has 8mm). I think I just found my new game changer!
Bought 2 pairs (thank you Saucony for the awesome Black Friday sale!) to rotate on my daily walks and am AMAZED at the disappearance of the hip pain and the much improved foot strain.
I can't explain how the thinner sole actually feels more cushioned than the thicker Ride, but it absolutely does. The ISO lacing is a bit of an adjustment - I found that I was lacing too tight and it would hurt the top of my foot about a mile in. No big deal, but just know if you're moving from non ISO lace a little looser than you otherwise would - the fit feels wonderful!

I was surprised when I picked up the box at how light the shoes are so I was skeptical about the support they could have, They are great - light and my foots feels supported. I have been running in Saucony shoes for a long time . These are the best pair yet,

This shoe is the best I've run with so far. Snugs well around your foot and feels more like a sock except for the sole. You feel the road well, but not too much. This shoe is very light and a true pleasure to run in.

These shoes are very comfortable, the cushion is great and pillowy - plus the upper is woven and hugs feet in a nice soft blanket of breathable knit (blister and callus free zone). Love wearing these shoes. They are all black, and so they match my style - I can wear them with a little dressier outfit while commuting and that's great. Wonderful to walk/run/bike in. Only fall back of that fantastic, luxurious knit upper is that if it rains - the rain literally falls straight through the weave, onto the feet. So, I just wear a little thicker wool sock for rainy days.

About 2 months ago I started running about 8k 5 days a week. My knees and achilles tendons were hurting. I didn't think shoes would be that important but the day I started wearing these, pain was no longer an issue. They are very responsive and provide enough cushioning for when I'm going downhill on paved road. I just ran a 10K and did really well and I'm pretty sure these shoes are making me faster.
I'm a 7-7.5 and got a 7.5 in these. The toe box was tight the first 2 times but it stretched and now it's perfect. They look like they'll hold up a while. Happy buyer here!

I've been trying to find a shoe for my long distance running. After purchasing 3 other leading brands I got freedom iso. Big big deal! I love them. Just enough cushioning. I described to my friend that they were like putting on socks! I will continue to buy these shoes
