I was really excited when these shoes came out and purchased a pair right away after a fitting. They are light weight and provide great cushion (esp for endurance runners). Similar to another review, they didn't even last for a season before the toe box ripped apart. I have never had this issue in any other brands or models. I paid a hefty amount CAD and was extremely disappointed in the durability. I wanted to purchase the Liberty ISO, but after that experience I sadly switched to another brand.

Fell in love with this great looking, lightweight shoe. After a handful of longer runs the shoe completely lost it's shape. The fabric became so stretched out (despite a perfect initial fit) that I can't wear them anymore. My two year old Asics still look better than this shoe after a mere 4 weeks of running. Same counts for the laces. Very thin and flimsy fabric. I wouldn't trust them during a race. Very disappointed.

I wanted to love these shoes! I tried them on in a local shop, and loved them right away. They feel great, and I was told that they are more durable than most shoes, and are meant to last much longer. However, after putting less than 300 miles on them, there are holes starting to form in the upper mesh. There is a hole above my right big toe, and one on the outer side of my left shoe. With such a big price tag, I am disappointed to say the least! I have been a long distance runner for several years, and I have never torn through a pair of shoes before. I was fitted at my local shop for these, so I do not think the fit is the problem. I do not run on particularly rugged terrain either- almost exclusively roads, so I don't think my use case is the problem either. While I commend the breathable upper, it HAS to be more durable than this! This is my first pair of Saucony's and so far I think I will be switching back to a different brand. That said, I loved everything else about these and just wish they made the upper part as durable as the rest of the shoe. I would not recommend these.

I bought these shoes about a month ago as I was starting training for my third marathon. I have worn the Kinvara for my last two marathons and all but one of about 15 half marathons. I loved the Freedom in the store and read amazing reviews so I set out on my first run so excited. About 4 miles in, the bottoms of my feet were in so much pain I had to stop - walking back home even proved difficult. I figured they just needed to be broken in with some short runs and wasn't too concerned. Unfortunately, for the last month I have done my best to break them in with very little luck. After about 5 miles, I am in too much discomfort to run any further. I have two months before the marathon and unless I see some major improvements in the next week or so, I will be looking for a new shoe. Super disappointed because I have had such luck with Saucony in the past.
