I have been an Asics lover for 20+ years. I used to buy Kayano's religiously. I am a nurse, on my feet all day, even had a second pair for workouts! But Asics have changed! I have tried buying a size or 2 larger, wider, nothing has worked for me. I bought these for my husband, and again, to narrow and the toe box smaller. I thought the GT-2000 would have been a better choice based on reviews, but I'm still disappointed in Asics. They've cheaped out! Now they've lost 2 more customers.

These do run small and narrow - I'm trying a larger and wider size. I've run with Asics in the past and do like them. For some reason these seem to be off on sizing.

I saw comments about the toe box being different and smaller and it is true. I have given these shoes ample time and I cannot continue to wear them. The toe box feels smaller and is squeezing my toes together. I have worn 11.5 Asics for 25+ years. they have always fit exactly the same. Not anymore. I am going to the running store tomorrow. I do not know if I will come home with Asics or not. The warning here is, if you are a past Asics wearer, give them a test run if you can. If you are new to Asics, then you do not know any different and I and many others have always loved Asics and I hope you do also. Give them a try. It is all about fit.

These are just terrible. They seem like seconds or irregulars that should be sold at the discount rack. Been wearing Asics for years and these are uncomfortable, poorly made and not true to fit. I would return them but I've worn them running in dirt.

I am flat footed...and severly over pronate...to the inside....so when I wanted to start running again I needed specialized shoes....these were recommended to me. The day before I got these I tested the Brooks Beast...built for over pronaters like me....they felt solid, very well designed and I especially like the tab on the inside top of the tonugue that keeps the tongue from slipping to the outside...common problem with over pronation.... I went with the asics....as they were 50 bucks less...they came yesterday...UNIMPRSESED....they did not have much cushion, they did not help with over pronation...just felt flimsy and not enginnereed ot help my problem. RETURN Ordered a pair of Brooks Addiction 12, they were $40 less then the beast but had all the features I wanted..including the tongure tab, heavy duty inside arch support...and special stiff rubber on the inside of the show to keep you from over pronating...they are great...lightweight..great arch support...and they keep me from rolling to the inside...lvoe them.....so consider the Brooks Addiction 12 and the Brooks Beast...better shoes then these asics...!

The workmanship is terrible. The material on 1 shoe is uneven and the stitching is clearly wrong, since there is a wave in the instep material. I have purchased these shoes for years, the gel just does not seem to be there, the shoe is mostly just foam. just not the quality I would expect from this company. I most likely will not be a customer in the future

I had two pair of the previous generation GT 2000 and they fit well. I wear an 11.5 4E shoe. When they wore out I bought this shoe. The heel seems a little loose but the big problem is that the toe box is narrower resulting in blisters on my little toes. Please do not change the inner dimensions. If you must make changes then just do color changes.

I have been running in GT 2000 shoes and loved them for several years, 2 pair of the 3's and 2 pair of 4's and the 5's are totally different and poor quality. After 3 months of only being worn for morning runs are falling apart at the Achilles' tendon to the point I will have to replace way too soon. When I retire the shoes from running I typically turn them into day to day shoes and my 4's with over 1000 miles logged are still in better shape. Aside from poor quality, the new laces don't stay tied and the outer material in rigid and creases against my toes when I flex shoe forward. I used to love the the GT 2000 but no more.

Bought these at full price to replace my 2000 4 Trails. The fit is at least a half size smaller. The liner material tore up after less than 40 miles. Really disappointing =/

I bought these shoes less than 3 months ago, and use them almost exclusively for gym work outs and walking. Already, the upper heel cushion has worn through, and there's a small rip beginning to form on the right toe area. I've had multiple pairs of Asics Gel Venture 5s, and they lasted as expected. I thought I was upgrading with this shoe. Bought direct, paid twice as much, and experienced half the life. NOT a good value equation.

Bought these shoes for my father who walks about 2 miles each morning and after 2 months there was a hole in the top of the mesh in the front of the shoe. Not worth the price!

Without belaboring the point - the 2016 and 2017 models (and perhaps other models) with the re-designed toe box no longer fit my foot. I have run in the GT-2000 or its predecessors for a very long time (decades...) and the shoe simply no longer fits. Please go back to the earlier designs. I have always loved running in ASICS and would like to continue to do so. Please share with your design department. Thank you.

Having owned several pairs of an older version i didn't hesitate to repeat my purchase. Unfortunately the new version disintegrated at the heel in less that 100 miles, this was a surprise as the older pairs had each seen me through training for and running a marathon. The lining is a different material which is not hard wearing.

Barely had these for 2 months before a hole formed in the insoles. Usually I love Asics but this was ridiculous.

I have always depended on ASICS gel running shoes, but these were the worst I have ever experienced and a rip-off for the price. Could they be counterfeit/knock-offs? The fabric liner on the inside heel of both shoes wore away after daily wear, within a few weeks of use, resulting in bilateral heel blisters. They were also too tight at the top of the instep. Not even worth the price of worth returning!

I have been wearing this shoe for several years, as it comes in a 16 and it solved some foot issues I was having. So disappointed to order a new pair to find out they have been redesigned and run a size smaller. Well, when they don't make a size 17 - that's a problem.....
