This is my favorite pair of Asics I have owned and I have owned many. 1) The upper is the best I have experienced. 2) For a daily trainer with this much cushioning and support, the shoe feels light and fast. 3) Extremely comfortable mid-sole and the shoe has a nice fit, the toe box is average. 4) Very good looking. I bought the all black and it works very nicely as a casual shoe. I typically wear a 10 or 10.5 in Asics and a 10.5 is a tiny bit long but I'm glad I picked it over a 10.

I had owned many different pairs of running shoes throughout the years by different big name brands. This time around I decided to really look into other big name Brands to really compare what works best for ME. After trying on many different Brands and re-educating myself on my running form and proper fit I found that the Asics GT-2000 5 were not only the best feeling shoe, but had the best quality control, craftsmanship and durability I was looking for. After putting a hundred miles on these shoes, I noticed my feet feel great after each run, my knees don't hurt and my hips don't ache anymore. I would recommend really looking into all aspects of how you run and check your wear patterns on your old shoes for Neutral Pronation, Overpronation or Supination. Check for what kind of support you need in a shoe and try on as many shoes as you can. It's your feet, so take the time to get the right running shoe. It took me a few weeks to get down to the top 3 shoes that felt the best and by the 10th visit to my local sports store I decided on the Asics GT-2000 5 for me. I've been running in the GT series for many years...best shoe I've ran in both for marathons and ultras...hoping that ASICS continues the GT 2000 series.

Wasn't thrilled at first with these shoes. My feet did develop some significant blisters (Never happened with Asics before) but after the break in period, they are getting better. Not my favorite pair but they are good 2 times a week.

Very happy with this purchase. Great support and a big help with my over pronation . Comfortable shoe over all but slightly tight in the toe box ,not enough to effect my wearing them but noticeable.
