Comfortable right out of the box. No blisters. Second pair ordered and I will buy them again. These shoes work well with my orthodics.

Have always worn ASICS. This pair seems to hurt my toes while running. Not sure what is different with this style than others.

Runs a little narrow. Purchase after purchasing GT-2000 6, not trail, and they are not as good of a fit as the 6. Hoping they break in, a bit narrow in the front foot.

My left shoe felt really tight. First thought was to return it. Decided to unlace it and relace it to my specs. Made a huge difference. Fits perfectly now.
The sole isnt as sponge like others i have owned before. My elite 2 was just so perfect. Seems like Asics forgot why so many customers like Asic: the softness and comfort of the sole.
Customer service at Zappos is super. They do their best to satisfy the customer and try to make things right. Will be a repeat customer.

Shoe felt narrower than previous Asics Gel-Flux 3 and Gel-Flux 4. I measured and the sole of the forefoot is 5mm narrower than my Gel-Flux 3 and 4.

I bought these after giving up trying to replace my GT-2000 4 Trail. They were the most comfortable sneakers I've ever owned and I wish I bought more when I could. These are nice but I had to buy them a half size larger, after returning 11s that were tight. I love Asics and I never buy any other brand. I just wish these were more like the 4s.

About half size to full size smaller than marked by comparison with all models of Nike running shoes that I have used over several decades.

I like this shoe, especially for it's price. I have 3 pairs. The first pair has been retired after 400+ miles of trail running and hiking. The second pair I used to hike the GR20 and they're still going to strong. And the third pair I just started to break in.
My only complaint is the rear tread detached on the first 2 pairs. It's a design flaw. The rubber tread is 10 separate pieces. And the rearmost tears off from bottom of the shoe over time from either sheer force when the ankle plants, or maybe just from planting on uneven ground that pulls at it. Regardless, having a single piece of rubber tread would have solved this.

Been buying GT-2000 series shoes for a while now. Still a great shoe but for the first time, this one seems a little narrower in the forefoot than usual. Tighter up front than I prefer but still a great comfortable cushioned shoe.

Over all very happy with this shoe, good looking, comfortable, slightly narrow for my foot even though it's a EE. Hoping they will stretch a bit.Happy Customer

I have been running in this model and its precursors for many years and find them excellent for dealing with pronating and providing support. I run four miles per day. My only complain is that the toe box is too small and I wear a hole in the top. However, most running shoes have a small toe box.

Narrow toe box prevents me from giving straight 5 stars. I actually measure at a 13.5 so the 14 fits fine lengthwise. But the unnecessarily narrow toe box is a bit uncomfortable and noticeable after wearing for several miles/hours. Not a big deal though.

With this version they did away with the waffle weave fabric around the heel; it is much smoother and does not pill. However, it wore out much faster. I have been using ASICS GT-2xxx for years, and I had heel foam showing through at 4 months of wear, and frankly, my miles are down a bit. I am retiring them at 350 miles rather than 400+ due to this.
Also, usually I can only get the black soles due to the limited colors available for 4E width shoes. These blue soles wore out faster than the black soles. I replaced them with shoes with a black sole.
I like the less stitching design, but I think they overcompensated on the effect it would have on size; it feels a little shorter. Due to the 4E width, it the width was not an issue. They feel lighter and have a good softness.
Overall, a great shoe, but not their best. I do wish they would put out a good trail shoe in 4E width.

This shoe definitely runs more narrow than others. Order bigger width.

I run in Kayanos because I overpronate and this was Asics best trail-running option. Bought same size as my Kayanos and they fit fine. Hey, they aren't as comfortable as Kayanos, but they aren't meant to be...but pretty darn close.

This is the second time I've purchased this shoe. The first pair lasted about 500 miles before the inside rear heel area started breaking down. They are very comfortable. I'll continue to buy these every couple of months as I hit the ~500 mile mark on each of them.

You definitely need to order a half size larger than what you normally wear. These were like my 20th pair of asics and they're just a little too tight. But good shoes so far otherwise.

Its hard to find tennis shoes that are large and wide enough for my husband. We were glad that these shoes are available in larger sizes, but we had to return them. They're pretty tight around the middle.

I went into an Asics store and discussed this shoe with a knowledgeable salesperson. He told me that when Asics went seamless, they began making the shoes narrower to provide more support because the shoes were expected to stretch out with use. He confirmed the the EE in this shoe was closer to the old D width with seams. And, that's the size I eventually settled on. I've never worn a wide shoe in my life before this.

As the Asics get larger, the toe space gets bigger too. Darn, not good for a narrow woman's foot. I love the support of the foot bed, but sadly must return for a wobbly toe bed.

Again, the shoe is made smaller.
Width is the main complaint.

in short order the inner heel material wears out way before any other part of the shoe. I put iron on denim in the shoe and get another few weeks out of them

I bought these and had to return them for a larger size. I take a size 9 3E and bought a size 9.5 4E width was ok, but my toes hit the front end of the shoe. Bottom line these run small.

This style of shoe is better than my last buy two shoes ago. My previous Asics shoe fell apart pretty quickly due to light fabric design. My last Asics shoe lasted better and I am still wearing as my every day shoe. The GT-2000 5 shoe I just bought is design to be more rugged. However, my left shoe doesn't fit as well as my right shoe does. My left foot is a little bigger than my right but OK. A 11 1/2 size would be too big for both feet. So far the new shoe style is holding up after a month.

Appeared well constructed and nice initial feel. My goal was to replace my trusty, aged and worn GT -1000's (size 12 - 4E). Unfortunately, the same size and width in this shoe was a bit shorter and slightly narrower. wish they had fit.
