All my shoes squeeze my feet and hurt after a couple hours. I put these on for the first time at 9:00am and we shopped and walked all day. I took them off at 10:30pm. My feet felt wonderful. They didn't hurt all day and for the first time in forever my feet were not swollen or sore when I took off the shoes. They are so comfortable it's like not wearing shoes, or like I am walking on air.

I find it impossible to find a true 4E width in an all leather sneaker unless there is some mesh in the shoe. Not so, with the 857V2. A perfect fit for width. I am so grateful to New Balance.

These shoes were recommended by my podiatrist after I broke my foot and because I have a neuroma in my right foot. I went to the New Balance store and asked for this type---it's a walking show with maximum stability. The clerk fit me and this shoe is incredibly comfortable! So I ordered my 2nd pair online after I wore out the first pair. My foot feels a lot better!

I have flat feet and I needed a shoe to fit my inserts plus provide motion stability. It limits the type of shoe that I can have but New Balance has been able to meet that year after year!!!

I have short and wide feet so it's hard to find a nice looking shoe that is comfortable. This shoe fits all my needs. I can stand and walk all day and my feet are just fine!

This is my eighth pair of the 857 in blue and white. I just love them. The arch support is great for anyone that has no arches. I will continue to buy this style of new balance!!!!!

I've been wearing New Balance shoes for several years due to having plantar fasciitis. All local stores closed much to my dismay. But found then online. Love them.

I needed an extra wide shoe to fit my special insoles. My purchase was perfect.

Being a new balance fan for decades I bought them because I have a wide foot. I would suggest anyone who is thinking about buying a new balance shoe go to a New Balance store to be fitted. People often buy online based on price and are often disappointed after putting them on because they didn't try the shoe on before they bought it. There is value in buying from the store in person...you get what you pay for... paying retail is money well spent!!!

My wife not a runner but she is training. Shoes to her seem heavy.

Trying to find a shoe that doesn't hurt with my bunion. I order these, absolutely loved them, but even the larger size (8 1/2) and wider (2E), didn't work. The 8 1/2 didn't feel like they were big, so it's possible they run a tad small. The leather doesn't have any 'give'. Going to re-order sticking with the soft-sided shoes.

Always get this size and approximate style but this sneaker runs tight

This shoe really helps with pronating but could use more arch support

Loved the first version of these shoes. While the 857v2 is also a good shoe, there could be more cushioning for the sole of the foot. The shoes do give my feet the overall support that is needed and are well made. I like the white with blue accent, but will try the black sometime.

I like the 857's. This is the first time I bought these. Very comfortable and good support. I wish the tongue had more padding and maybe a little longer.

I've bought 2 of these shoes and loved them for a while. With both shoes, they developed a strong cat urine odor after they were well worn. I've done some research and found other complaints about this. Not with this particular model but with this brand in general. Someone suggested it was from the breakdown of the plastic. With the first pair I was mortified because I thought my feet were just taking on that smell but none of my other shoes had smelled that way...EVER. So I bought a new pair and the same thing happened. I've decided against purchasing these shoes again because of that. In the rare instances that you might have to take your shoes off in front of someone, it is extremely embarrassing. I learned that one from experience. Otherwise it's a great shoe.

Great walking shoe for my skinny feet. Not much to look at, they are passable with full length black pants. But they are such comfortable shoes!

I was looking for a comfortable shoe to help with my plantar fasciitis. After doing some online research, I decided to give this shoe a try. I've worn NB for years and have been very happy. These shoes fit well and are supportive, however, the sole is very hard making them somewhat uncomfortable. Maybe they're supposed to be like this...they're just not as comfortable as I had expected.
