I am not sure if I was ever able to discover why this shoe was uncomfortable. It was very stiff. It seemed to be lacking in padding. I tried a different insole, different socks, lacing it differently, and nothing seemed to help. Finally, gave up & sent it back.

I have been ordering new balance for years. And this pair are way to small. The width and length are off. I would suggest to order 1/2 a size larger than normal.

Good stability but hard as a rock. If you have flat feet, you'll need orthotics for arch support. If you have arthritis, these will be too hard to be comfortable. These were so hard, I took them off after 30 minutes and never put them back on.

This shoe is very stiff. I work on my feet for 8 hours a day, and my feet hurt at the end of my shift. I keep thinking it will get better, but I just can't afford to buy new shoes again

I was so excited about these shoes and when they arrived, I tried them on and they were very very narrow. I did order wide width and my sock was sticking out around the tongue on both sides. I did return them and went to the store about bought a different pair in normal width.

These shoes have more padding than the 847 so I need to exchange them for a bigger size.

I wasted my money on these...I needed the greater comfort of the New Balance Fresh Foam 1080 v9. --I have a Morton's neuroma in one foot - and this shoe did not help it. The Fresh Foams are much better. This shoe is ugly and clunky.

These are so WARM! They are jet black so duh, they are warm. But they also don't have the venting that many other pairs have...with the mesh. So it's like a foot sauna. Wish I could return ...anyone want to but for half price?

I usually love New Balance but these are killing my feet. No arch support and they are stiff and heavy. Spent a lot of money on them too.... Can't afford another pair of shoes for a while.

The redesign of shoes to make them look smaller is awful.

I have purchased NB shoes several times and always liked my shoes. These are stiff, stiff, and stiff. My feet hurt after doing a 2 mile run. I will not be wearing these again and wish there was a return policy that allowed me to exchange them for a different pair of NB shoes.

They are quite floppy and noisy on hardwood floors, and my knees hurt after wearing them all day. They are not supportive as the 928. Sorry, NB. I'm donating them to a worthy cause.
Sincerely,

The shoe caused pain in my heel requiring me to return the shoe. They had no other shoes in my size. I was very disappointed.

After having purchased the 626 slip resistant shoes in the past, I was looking for a new style. These seemed like a good replacement. However, I was sorely proven wrong. After 2 days at work, I discovered they indeed were lacking in traction compared to the others I've purchased. The true slip resistant traction is only on the heel and toe, and not throughout the entire length of the sole. I will not purchase these again.

My Rollbar boots, and Stability running shoes of the same size fit. These did not. Also, i thought these were for pronators, did not feel like it to me, sent them back.

I have a pair of New Balance WX 857, size 8.5 that I’ve worn for at least 3 years. They are comfortable and supportive. Sadly, the tread is wearing down on them. I ordered New Balance WX857v2 as a replacement in the same size and width. They were stiff but decided that was because they were new and needed breaking in. I wore them to work one day - I am mostly in an office setting but am in and out of our shop fairly often. I wore them the next day for an 8 hour drive - I was the passenger. Day 3 found me limping - I am not sure what they aggravated in my feet but it was painful. Fortunately, I had another pair of sneakers that did allow me to walk - slowly. My feet hurt for a week. Since they’ve been worn and can’t be returned they will be donated. I have never had a pair of New Balance fail me until this pair. Disappointed.

To me, this pair ran extra narrow. I've been using the same size for many many years and this pair does not fit.

I am sadly disappointed in this New Balance WX857v2. I have two old pairs of NB shoes, the 811 and the 812, in size 8B, and this shoe is nothing like either of them. It is smaller and narrower overall and specifically lacking the space in the toe box that the old ones have. I couldn't even judge what the arch support might be like because I couldn't wear the shoes at all (but the boxes above don't give you that option). New Balance has made a serious mistake in dropping the earlier models that had the roll bar and roomier fit, as both of my 2 pr do. Sadly, I am going to have to go to a shoe store now and try to find something else that might fit and support and keep me from pronating like those old NB models with the roll bars do. (They are still serviceable, BTW, but I am just so tired of them I thought it would be nice to have a new pair in a different color. No such luck.)

Im on my feet all day..... inserts had very little cushioning and i had to go out to buy inserts w better cushion.... also a gap at tongue so my socks were exposed and i am not a wide shoe...... would not suggest these shoes whether your on your feet all day or even if you wear these for just an hour

I am a true AA/narrow - I don't own anything in a B width. I have been wearing NB shoes for about 20 years because they offer AA/narrow width. The black 928v2 did not fit. I tried 3 different kinds of orthotics/inserts and 3 different thickness of socks. I began to wonder if my feet were swollen. I put my custom orthotics back into my 812 walking shoes and everything was fine. I was told that newer versions of a shoe are usually cosmetic changes, not functional changes. Not so with these 928v2. I have the original 928 in beige suede. The toe box has a nice broad/rounded shape. The toe box on the 928v2 is noticeably pointed in comparison to the original 928 - and the area forward of the arch is too cramped, too narrow. I thought putting more slack in the laces would help; no improvement in the fit. Why make such a drastic functional change in a shoe when the original version fit so well?
