It has a toe box that is nice and rounded so that my toes aren't squished into a narrow box. Love that it is leather, because with Covid, all my exercise is outside and my feet get cold, and sometimes wet, in athletic shoes with fabric uppers. I just wish NB would make them in colors other than white!

These are okay--just barely. They have good arch support although I can use more with Morton's neuroma and a high arch, but they are not completely true to size. I take a 9 and the length just barely takes my foot. Strangely enough, they are comfortable and have good heel support too. If you just made them a tiny bit longer, they would be perfect.

I love this shoe! I already have a pair but wanted a second just in case it is phased out but I sure hope not because it really is great. Although it usually takes about two weeks for me to get a comfy fit, which it did, it is so worth it. If I were to have any issue it would be that the fabric inside starts to pill a bit but I wouldn't not get it for that reason. I have it in the white and it really has a stylish appearance and I am able to use it for officiating since I am a high school swimming official. I would definitely recommend it.

I needed a sneaker with a rollbar that I put a molded orthotic in and this fits the bill, there is enough room in the toe area in the wide width, satisfied with this sneaker although I wish it came in more youthful looking colors.

I tried these as well as the 608. I liked both shoes but in the end I decided I liked the 608 better. This shoe was lighter but the 608 felt like it would give better comfort for a day of standing and walking. I have a wide foot and wide toes.

These shoes have a lot of support, which I love. They are a little heavy and a little clunky.

Ordered 4 pairs of shoes in 5.5, 2E. Yes, basically square! This was the only pair that was wide enough. The length was perfect. But they looked so orthopedic compared to the other styles. Unfortunately, they are going back. What happened to wide shoes?

I have been buying New Balance shoes and recommending them for over 20 years. This is the first time I have had inconsistencies between the shoes. The shoe strings are not the same length! The right shoe barely has long enough strings to make a bow. The left shoe has enough shoe strings to make big floppy bow!

I wear a narrow shoe and there is an extremely limited selection in narrows. If you are looking for a cross training shoe with excellent stability - lateral stability, this is a great shoe! I don't care for the look and they are a bit heavy, but there are extremely well made for circuit training with a wide variety of strength moves. I ordered the black as the white was not available in my size.

I'm fairly young (under 55) and have XW feet, so I'm often unwilling to buy shoes because they look like they're for senior citizens. The revision of the exterior 'design' of the toe box definitely gives these an updated look!

I normally wear a 7 1/2 W, but the website recommended an 8 W. This was too big. I am going to reorder in my 7 1/2 W. the Shoe is nice looking and should be very comfortable and supportive in the correct size.

I have several issues with my feet including tarsal tunnel syndrome for which I get cortisone injections. This 857 v2 shoe works pretty well for me under the circumstances. I've purchased many pair over the years this model has been available, including previous models. I need to wear the NB Pressure Relief Insoles with them so it makes my feet pretty costly! I find I can wear this shoe for only 4-6 months before I need a new pair due to breakdown of the shoe support. To be fair, I do wear them full time but not for athletics; I use them daily for shopping, chores, etc. I buy them over & over again because I haven't found any better shoe for my situation. I need good support but also cushion making it necessary to wear the insoles. I also wear a wide shoe even though my feet are medium width because I find it more comfortable.

A great looking shoe. I ordered it 1/2 size larger because the last NB shoe I ordered in the size I always ordered at NB was too short on my left foot. Even with this increase in size, it still bothers my left toes. I long for the days when NB would tell you what last form the shoe (SL1 or SL2) was made on and if it had a wide toe box to accommodate bunions. Those days seem to be gone. I have an old pair of 812 design that are so comfortable. Oh, that you would return to making the old reliable shoes, instead of turning out new designs.

My right foot loved this sneaker ~ it was just right, all the material worked well. My left foot however disagreed ~ the place where the tongue meets the top of the leather kept irritating my foot. No amount of Band-aids or better socks helped. Ultimately had to return them but if your feet are more alike each other than mine are you'll do fine.

Love the look. Not sure if I will be able to wear them as the right shoe hurts the bottom of my right foot.

These are a very good looking shoe with a wide toe box, good support for pronators but a little stiff, easy to adjust to fit with laces; however, I have a bunion on one foot along with hammer toes. The side leather design just hit in the wrong places. Tried all I could think of including band aids & socks but I think the design was just too non-forgiving for my poor feet. Will continue to wear but for very limited time. Sure helped my knees and arches, though.

These shoes are very stable but the soles are very stiff and make a lot of noise when walking on a hard surface. They sound like horses hooves! They have a seam on each side of the toe box which happens to hit right on my bunion, so I couldn’t use these shoes. I really liked the stability, because I have a tendency to pronate, but the fit wasn’t right. The shoes are not the lightest weight.
