I would just like to say this product sells itself with a light weight feel and also with an amazing technology the apex material. It was a no brainer at just a glance and the feel of the material ..wow. I haven't got a chance to truly test it in cold weather ...., but it seems just fine if its rated at ten degrees with enough room to wear other layers underneath. Water resistance is just fine for the application ...and price. I truly believe this is on the scale of perfect. I've never seen or felt a product as light weight comfortable and warm and with style all in one. In love as strange as it may....

I bought this for my teenage son who refuses to wear a heavy jacket, yet we can get some pretty cold winters in Ohio. This was something we both could agree on - and he's happy that he sports the Ohio State University colors.
I was introduced to North Face by friends and love it. I bought my younger son one in store too.
Hopefully, I am next.

My son and I bought this jacket during a vacation in Germany. We felt it was perfect for my husband. He wore it throughout our vacation. Then, when left behind in LAX, on the last leg of our trip, it wasn't returned. (Someone got a great jacket!) We liked it so much that I bought another through the website. My husband is very picky about the clothes he wears and was using an old jacket that didn't fit his image or needs. This one is warm, waterproof, light weight and very stylish. It was well worth the double price I ended up paying for it!

I purchased this new winter coat because it's not too bulky, but still warm enough to get me through the Chicago winter. Northface's warranties department replaced my old one with this new one and reall came through for me before winter got too cold. The coat is awesome as is the rest of the northface stuff I've always had. Thanks,

I purchased this jacket for my boyfriend for his birthday, not only did it show up earlier than expected but he was thrilled with it. Fast shipping and a great product he loves it couldn't be happier.

This jacket is great for cold/windy/wet weather. I haven't had the opportunity to use it in the snow but I imagine it would work well assuming you aren't in a blizzard. This jacket is completely water proof, as I have been in pouring rain and not a single drop penetrated through. This jacket also blocks wind well and is remarkably warm, much warmer than I anticipated it to be. I expected to need a couple layers under the jacket, as is the case with most windbreakers I've owned, but I was perfectly fine wearing only a t shirt under it while it was under 50 degrees. I've also gotten quite a few compliments on the look of the jacket, so style is nothing to worry about here. The only complaint I have is that I used the size finder on while purchasing this jacket but after following that, it ended up being one size too big. I simply exchanged it for one size smaller and I couldn't be happier. I'd recommend this product to anyone looking for a warm and reliable jacket that doubles as a more than effective windbreaker and raincoat.

For the most part, I love this jacket. It's warm without being too bulky; comfortable to wear; stylish. It's just what I was looking for. I don't need a snowboarding jacket and I don't plan on visiting the Antarctic - I want something warm that doesn't make me feel like the Stay Puft Marshmallow Man. My only complaint would be the sleeve length and hood size. I have very broad shoulders, and typically require an XL or XXL depending on the brand. I tried the XL in the store while wearing just a t-shirt, and everything fit but I was concerned that it would be too tight across the chest/shoulders when wearing bulky winter clothing. I ended up going with the XXL, which fits perfectly through the body with bulky clothing. However, there is a HUGE jump in hood size when going from XL to XXL. It's really odd, like they imagine the person buying the XXL size is a two-headed ogre. The hood drops over my face no matter what I do, it's simply too large (and I don't have a small head by any standard). The sleeves are also longer in the XXL, but that's not abnormal and the added length is not enough to be a real inconvenience.

I ordered a large in this jacket and it fits great. I am 5'10", 225 muscular build. Normally I wear XL in most hoodies, but this jacket was too baggy in XL. The only concern is the zipper does not zip very easily, it takes some effort which is kind of annoying. Also there are no inside chest pockets which I am used to with the North Face jackets. Very lightweight and warm, couldnt feel the wind blowing 20+ miles an hour at 35 degrees outside, some jackets that wind will get right through the jacket material, not this one.

I bought this as a gift for my boyfriend because he needed a jacket with a hood. It would have been the perfect jacket but it's missing some details like detachable hood, inside pockets and more insulation to keep warm. Compare to his apex bionic jacket he said it doesn't feel as warm, you would have to layer a bit to keep warm during the cold season whereas for his apex bionic he can just wear a T-shirt and it'll keep him warm all day.

Con-wished zippers better quality....hard to zip up/down with main zipper and pockets...have to go SLOW zipping....thinking....about damaging them.

Wet weather gear for a planned future trip to Alaska. if zippers were a little bit beefier would have given 5 stars.

I purchased this jacket at then end of the winter season, and still had a few cold days left. The jacket is warm and thin. I really appreciate the collar separate from the hood.

Wore this hiking for 6 days/nights in Patagonia. Excellent during the colder hours of the day and on windier days. Can get a little warm once I really got moving on sunnier days, but very glad to have such a versatile and lightweight coat. Only improvement would have been vents under arms to help deal with transitions between microclimates, activity levels, etc.

Would have been 5 stars if not for "stiff" zippers

A South Floridian who bought the jacket for winter forays to D.C. and NY...limited use so far, but it packed easily and kept me warm...more importantly, it allows me to skip "layering" when in the city, so I can stay warm outside and take it off in buildings so I'm not too warm with extra layers of clothing. The zipper is a bit weekly made and my only concern with the jacket.

Great jacket. Overall fit is good. A little more loose fit then I expected. The pics made it seem more athletic fit. It's not too baggy though. For reference, I'm 5'9" 170lbs with athletic build. The jacket is also warmer then I thought (think < 40 F). The primaloft insulates amazingly well. This is not a fall weather jacket. Great for the northeast winter or worse. Will hold back wind, rain and snow extremely well.

I was looking for what I call a mid weather jacket 10-35 degrees. This jacket seems to fill up that need. It is warm, light weight, and comfortable. I was getting tired of the triclimate type jackets. I never take them apart, the fleece makes it a pain to To put on if you have a sweater on, and they never seem to stay together. This jacket so far seems to solve those issues. The zipper is the only really questionable issue with the jacket. No problems so far but it does not inspire faith that it will last well. I have bought North Face stuff for probably 40 years in that time I have only have one issue and that was also a zipper.
