Jacket can be worn in cold weather, wet weather or sunny weather. Although it has a sleek, slim design it is very warm as it is filled with primaloft. Perfect for casual dress to the office or outdoor activities during a snow storm!!

I use this as my everyday jacket and honestly it's the best jacket I've owned. From a nice 60 degree day with a breeze to a cold 20 degree day, it's had me covered. I work outside and this jacket is the best tool for my job that I have.

Overall a great lightweight, warm jacket, I will find out more as the winter starts up on wind resistance and water resistance. My only con is the website makes this orange look more vibrant when in fact it's much more of a plainer almost darker orange. I checked this on 6 different PCs/phones/tablets and they all show it as a vibrant orange. Good news is while the color is not spot on the jacket overall is as a keeper!

Sleeves could be a bit longer for me, but I'm a tall guy.

After ready many reviews, I purchased the Apex Elevation jacket as a gift. Upon its arrival, the recipient was very pleased with its many features. The sizing was spot on with room for even a base layer. The color was great. Multiple pockets were appreciated. Most important was the need for this jacket to transition from fall to winter seasons in Iowa. It will easily get the job done. Thank you!

I have the older version in Grey and Blue and it is amazing. It looks super nice, it feels great, it's not too heavy, it's very well made, it keeps you warm and dry and the pockets are great. For a North Face you get what you would expect here. Excellent jacket. I love mine. Very very very recommended.

Out here in Kansas City it gets pretty cold during the winter but thats something I can handle the thing about here is the wind. A few days ago the windchill made it feel like -10 degrees. I owned a pea coat and a bomber jacket which can block the cold out but not the wind. After buying this jacket nothing was able to seap through the jacket no wind or cold weather and only 3 days in the investment has already paid off!

This is my first North Face product. I was skeptical at first about North Face products. However, after wearing this jacket for a month this is the best jacket I have ever owned. I live in South Texas and the temps (mid 20's at the worst) are not as severe as most, but this jacket cuts the wind, blocks the rain, keeps the heat in, is light weight, and looks great! The hood is removable with a couple of buttons and zipper. The bottom of the jacket has an adjustable elastic band to keep the cold air from coming in from the bottom of the jacket. On the wrists of the jacket there are inserts that close on your wrist to keep heat from escaping/cold from entering the jacket. I am 6 foot with a longer arms then most, who usually wears larges, however this jacket was a little short in the sleeves. I went one size up to cover the length of my arms but still not bulky. This jacket is a must own. You will not be disappointed with this jacket.

This is my first NorthFace and I'm hooked! My girlfriend bought me this for my birthday and i have to say, it is the lightest and warmest jacket I've ever owned. I am now a NorthFace convert!

Recommended by an online Chat TNF rep. Was looking for a wind resistant, warm, stylish, and everyday winter coat. This is exactly the jacket to go for. Received plenty of compliments about how great it looks. It's casual enough for everyday wear without looking like you are about to hit the slope. I wish it's a little softer and lighter. Great wind protection with TNF Apex coating and plenty of warm with Primaloft insulation. My other jacket is the Plasmatic, super soft, super warm, and extra light. If you don't mind a bit of rougher and heavier side, the Elevation is a winner. Can't beat lifetime warranty either. Trek on.

I was skeptical when I first received my Apex Elevation jacket because it's so light, weighs about as much as a heavy duty hoodie. All doubts removed as soon as I put it on. This jacket is completely water and windproof, and is very breathable. The breathability is nice when working outdoors or traveling on foot because you don't get uncomfortable, the temp inside the jacket feels like a nice spring day. Fit runs a little large which is fine, quality of the materials is top notch. There are little North Face touches here and there, like the extra neoprene cuffs inside the sleeves to ensure your wrists aren't exposed to the cold, and being able to tighten the windcord around the bottom of the jacket without removing your hands from your pockets. Excellent overall.

I own Atleast a dozen products by the north face. However this jacket stands alone as my favorite. This jacket will keep your warm as a baby in its crib and you'll look good too!

I bought this jacket for my husband for Christmas. He loves it. The style is very nice, it's not puffy, and huge. It fits very nice and even though it's not heavy at all, it keeps him is super warm.

I bought this as a stand-alone jacket for the harsh winter weather in NE Iowa. I added a base layer fleece under this and found it to be a bit on the warm side at temperatures above 30F. I reserve this jacket now for those really bad windy snowfall blizzard type days. This is now my go to extreme jacket. There are warmer options such as ThermoBall but you won't have to pay a lot for this which can be tailored for the weather by adding proper layers. Great fit with the Men's Freedom Pant and Quattro Windstopper ETIP gloves.

When I first saw this jacket, I was skeptical.. this is so thin and light, will it be effective? But this guards me in cold weather upto 23 F (so far I tested).. Amazing to see how such a light jacket can provide great insulation and wind shielding.. compact and elegant design,. I love the design of the hood.. it never falls off from your head and it is just snug fit around my ears. I am very happy to own a black one.

Bought this jacket for my son who refuses to wear coats even in winter! Coats are usually so bulky and heavy my son says its not worth it lug around. This jacket has changed his mind completely. I first saw this jacket at a sporting goods store and immediately wanted it simply based on how it looked. After ordering it online and actually putting it on and wearing it around, I couldn't be happier. It's incredibly warm but still very breathable especially throughout the shoulders and sleeves. This is a great jacket, definitely worth the buy!
