I bought this to primarily keep warm while doing my bike tour from Clearwater, FL to Colorado Springs, CO but on a more north first route. Then west. Anyways, I have only had to use the out shell so far during the rain. It worked great as a rain coat and kept me dry and warm. It has been in the high 80's the whole time and I become sweaty in the rain coat but it helps keep me dry. Another great benefit is that it seems to be windproof. It is usually windy while raining and as I stated I am still sweating in just the rain coat so it doesn't like the wind get to me. Overall I am really enjoying the multiple uses of this coat. I can already tell the thermoball will keep me warm. I would recommend to another person for sure. Most likely going to buy one for my grandparents when I get back to CO.

I have come to expect quality and innovation from North Face and this jacket delivers both. It's lightweight, repels water and is quite warm and the sizing is spot on. Excellent!

After doing a lot of research I opted for the thermoball 3in1 jacket. I have been rocking it for the past 2 weeks or so and I am very impressed with my experience so far. It is very light, stylish and handles moisture and cold weather well. I am a cyclist and plan on using this jacket to cycle to and from work in winter.

TNF thermoball triclimate jacket is a wonderful designed jacket. It is a 3 in 1 jacket which means you can adjust it for whatever the temperature is. It is also a very stylish.

So far so good. This is the nicest jacket I've ever owned. We've had an extremely cold start to the winter and this jacket has performed beautifully. The only concern I have is it is so well insulated that while on a trip to Chicago walking through the town I noticed a build up a moisture between the outer shell and the thremoball interior. The amount of condensation was significant and It raises concern about potential moisture issues if not properly aired out after extensive use. I will say that despite the condensing between the layers I was completely dry. I have been extremely impress with how light the jacket is and how warm it keeps me. I actually look forward to the colder weather to see how this will perform in below zero temps.

To start off since we purchase our merchandise through their site, North Face's website was very easy to navigate and shop, the user experience was wonderful! The Find your Size App was awesome, really helps you dial in just what size to get! As far as the thermomball jacket, AWESOME! this is by far the best winter jacket i have ever owned! Light, not bulky and WARM! Wind and water resistant. It barely feels like a jacket when wearing. All the layers on their own are wonderful too! The Thermoball liner is such a great jacket on its own, even in 10-20deg weather. All-around great jacket, great price! Would buy another in a heartbeat!

I bought it for my son who is tall (6 feet) but thin (154 lb). Small size fits well for him. Down is very light but looks like warm enough to the Boston area winter. I would also say that its blue color is just fabulous!

The jacket I purchased is both fashionable and appropriate for all weather conditions. Growing in up in NY I've always been attracted to the lighter, thinner versions that North Face sells. I have been a customer of their jackets since 2003 and plan to continue. My previous North Face jacket lasted me 5 years. I've been deployed and worn the jacket stateside and overseas. There's no better jacket.

Wanted this so bad but they ran out of my size. The program said I was a XL but it was too large for me and had to return. L would probably have fit great. 6'2 228 lbs.

I wear this jacket daily. Overall a very good jacket and an upgrade from my last winter coat. Looks and feels good on me, but the sleeves are slightly long. The only two things that make this a four-star review are that the front pockets aren't insulated, so sticking your hands in them without gloves doesn't do much, and I wish that the arms of the inner (down) jacket had quilted insulation like on the body. However, I wear this jacket with one to three layers beneath since I work in a business casual office, so I'm always good to go with this jacket.

I'm in Georgia and wanted something that would be good for 3 seasons - as winters usually only get 1-2 days of snow.
First the fit: it runs big.
I'm 5'11" and 150lbs, 32" waist and 38" chest.
I initially bought a medium and it was huge - like a L or XL type of fit.
I exchanged it for a small.
Yes, size SM, and it fits perfect - even the elastic cuffs aren't too tight.
The inner thermoball liner jacket feels well, cheap.
It feels very thin, and the sleeves are plain, with only the quilting on the vest section.
Not as quality as the full thermoball jackets that are sold separately.
The shell has a PU type of coating on the inside of it.
The zippers on both parts feel thin / cheap, so we will see how it holds up.
There are no inner pockets on either the shell or the thermoball liner jacket.
As for weather - the jacket feels great in weather between 20-30 degrees.
The shell is completely WINDPROOF and the outer surface of it will eventually absorb some of the cold from the air, but the insulating thermoball layer keeps you cozy.
There are some nice touches to this jacket - mainly how the collar has little fleece corners to cover up the zippers and keep you from getting some annoying face rub / abrasions.
I also like how the thermoball liner jacket has some snaps at the cuffs to secure it to the shell cuffs so that the jackets stay together when you take it on and off.
If the liner were thicker / better / like regular thermoball and the zippers and snaps were more durable / sturdy then I would give this jacket a higher rating. I would also like to see an inner pocket or two.
Overall I'm still pleased with the jacket for the price.

Have only had this a few weeks but just in time for some rather cold temperatures that has moved in. With sub zero weather coat was quite comfortable with proper base layers. Even when driving coat is light weight and non restrictive.
