My second pair of this glove; absolutely my favorite ski touring glove. Waterproof to a certain degree, lots of dexterity for tools, and great warmth. They use to also have the best in class touch screen sensitivity (I'm talking index AND thumb people), but for some reason, the newer version of these gloves have made a huge turn for the worse in this department. I can't even launch an app without triple tapping something. Huge disappointment what happened OR?

I owned a pair of stormtrackers that fit perfectly. I find the thumb quite roomy as well as around the wrist which make these new gloves less tactile and nimble. I do appreciate the sensor capability that works fairly well.

The sensor touch did not work on the first pair I got then the replacements seemed work out well until I began to use them with poles and tools. They fit really well so that is not the issue, but they start to slide off during use. I know there's supposed to be a lightweight glove but they're in desperate need of wrist straps to secure them.

The product quality and materials are good, what I expect from OR. For what I bought them for (wearing on walks, xc skiing, snowshoeing) the weight and warmth are fine. The zippered cuff is annoying and too long for my tastes - it gets in the way of jacket cuffs and even mid layer cuffs. My biggest complaint is the fit. I have a lot of OR gloves, always buy a medium, and they all have fit well. These must be cut from a different mold as the fingers, and especially thumb, are really long. I will use them, but due to fit and the cuff they won't be the go to gloves I was hoping they would be.

I used these on a recent hunting trip. Their primary use will be ski touring (still waiting for winter). The gloves are not warm at all, but they are wind proof. I think they'll do well as an "up" glove, but definitely not warm enough for sitting on a chairlift.

The leather used to support touch screens on the index finger and thumb is very stiff compared to the other leather used in the glove. This leads to the rather unpleasant sensation of having to bend the glove when you move those finger rather than having the glove bend naturally with the movement. This also result in a major loss of tactility on the 2 most important fingers, because of this using the glove with a touch screen feels clumsy making texting tedious. On the good side the wind-proofing makes the glove significantly warmer than the thinness would indicate and the upper material is resistant to light rain which makes the glove very versatile. Other than the stiffness the glove fits well and doesn't feel sloppy. I get great use out of this glove but it could also be a lot better.

I bought these to replace a pair of touchscreen compatible arcteryx gloves. These just do not fit as well, I want to love these gloves but I don't. The cuff is too long and doesn't need a zipper, and the fingers and thumb are too long making the touchscreen feature almost unusable.

Bought this glove for ski touring. I think they'll work well enough. The touchscreen fingertips work well. Sizing is a bit weird - I wear a Hestra 9, but am a medium for this glove. Also the glove feels too wide near the base of the palms. Wet hands seem to sometimes pull the liners back a little bit so that may become an issue. I really want to like these a lot more, right now I'm luke warm.

You can feel the wind/cold through the seams on the pinky side of the glove. They are decent gloves but not as advertised being wind proof., much more of a casual glove than a mountaineering glove.

I've about worn out my original Stormtrackers that I've had for probably 4 years or so. I loved those gloves, so I ordered a new pair in the orange color. First problem, the sizing is completely different. My old ones were mediums and fit, well, like a glove. The new mediums were way too big. I got a pair of smalls and the fit is better, but still off. Bulkier than the original and the leather is different as well. Maybe the leather needed to change to get the touchscreen capability, which is only on the index finger, but it seems like a downgrade. Hopefully that'll change with break in, but it's much less supple. I'm sure they'll still function well, I think they've got a great blend of windproofness, breathability, and warmth for most non-frigid days. And they probably still fit better than most of the other gloves I've tried on. I'm just disappointed, the Stormtrackers went from being an absolutely perfect backcountry skiing glove to being just average.

As others have mentioned, the fingers on these gloves are ridiculously long. These gloves are on several mountaineering gear lists and are not suitable for use in technical settings unless you have unusually long fingers. Might be OK for skiing or driving a car.

A poor fit which didn't match the fitting guide. I normally wear between a medium and large in gloves. I bought a medium. The index finger and thumbs were way too long ... a half to three-quarter inches too long. This made for poor dexterity. Also, the gloves worked poorly with my phone touchscreen. I like their warmth for their weight.

I wanted to love these but the fit is horrible. As other reviews have said, there is no fit around your wrist so the gloves start to slide off, also, the fingers are long so when the gloves slip the fingers become extremely long. They were warm and windproof, so that is nice, I guess.

The materials seem great and I really wanted to like these gloves, but the fit is ridiculous. I like to think my individual fingers are a very normal length, and I have never had issues with other gloves. I purchased a Med size and the middle finger and pinky are sized great, but there is an extra .5"+ of space for my index finger and thumb. I don't even try wearing these gloves anymore, not even to walk the dog because I can't pull out/tie the waste bag. I typically don't write reviews but these gloves annoyed me so much I had to comment. Maybe my gloves were a fluke..

I have three other pair of OR gloves that are terrific. The Stormtracker Gore-Tex Infinium is not one of them. It fits poorly and is not warm. Very disappointed; will likely return these if they will take them back.

People love these gloves as a do it all, lightweight glove for spring skiing and mountaineering. A lot of my trip partners have them so I thought I would give them a shot. While I enjoy having a lightweight glove option like these, I'm not convinced they are the best option. I found the fit to be bulky, limiting dexterity. Especially in the thumb and ends of the fingers. The wrist is also a bit large for me, so I never feel like they are "on". They often feel like they are slipping off my hands and I can't handle ropes and carabiners efficiently in these gloves. I couldn't imagine using them with a touchscreen phone either.

It was not nearly as warm as the reviews. I have to use hand warmers with them just to do outdoor patrol. This is in Ohio 35 degree weather. If we had kept packaging, I would have returned them

I bought these gloves to use for ski touring, resort riding on warmer days, ice climbing on warmer days, and mountaineering. At first feel they are awesome. Super comfy, definitely kept my hands warm...until they touch any sort of wet surface. Being Gore Tex gloves I assumed that they would be waterproof, but they aren't even close to that. The leather wets out immediately and within minutes the whole glove is DRIPPING wet. I was literally wringing them out after climbing ~500 ft of steep snow. My hands were warmer without these gloves on. Might use them for walking the dogs on brisk days or for driving to the grocery store in the winter, but just as likely they are going in the trash.

The packaging indicated "comfortable to minus 12" I was using them at plus two and I had to take them off to warm my hands.

Got these to replace the earlier version of the stormtracker which I really liked. The addition of the sensor is a huge miss for me. It costs dexterity and grip in the index finger and thumb that I am not able to get over. I find myself still reaching for my old ones. I am hoping they improve with an extended break in period. Still long for the old early Vert gloves that I had 4 pairs of.
