Love the warmth even in extreme Montreal winters of -30C! The colour is eye catching and received complements! Just don't know how durable the grip is. Overall, great price to value proposition!

These mittens are not work mittens. I say that as they are not mittens you should rock when climbing, skinning, running, etc. They are just too warm. They are perfect for static activity, on a bike, dirt bike, quad, snowmobile, around camp, and defiantly amazing to sleep in on cold nights. The down is amazing at keeping your heat in.
Recommendations: a passive hand warmer to "start that fire place" is super helpful with cold hands. The mittens are super light and compressible, if you have the hat; I recommend putting the mittens in the hat and compress all 3 together. Last recommendation; pack these as your back up to your work gloves/mittens. they are so light and small you will only notice them when your hands are warm!
Only down side: the space inside the mittens is minimal. This is good as you will warm up the 4 finger pocket quickly. It's a little tight if you have really big hands. In no way is this a show stopper. I have large hands (size 11) and rock the L/XL. They fit... just with minimal space.

After seeking some ultra warm liners for my wife's shell mitts for some time, I stumbled across these. We are huge fans of goretex shell mittens (hey OR - why no Baker Mitt in XS), but my wife's slightly small hands have challenged us when it comes to finding an ultra warm liner. These unisex liners are great. The XS pretty much matches an OR women's small - just keep in mind that these are bulky, if your shells are snug fit, your hand and these mitt liners aren't going to fit in.
I personally would not recommend these for use on their own - delicate, not weather-resistant, and such use will lead to undue washing.

I have poor circulation in my hands and used these puppies today during -40F temps -- my hands were sweating. From someone who lives is WI and hates being cold, I can't reccomend these enough. Perfect for anything from running errands to winter camping.

I'll keep it short and simple. These mitts are excellent. Super warm, fit well, nice siliconized grip, and come with me on every cold weather trip to the mountains. Highly recommend!

Super lightweight and very warm. I haven't had to use these yet but they are so light I don't mind travelling with them in my pack for ski tours, ice climbs and alpine climbs.

I bought these as liners for a Mt. Rainier winter ascent, but since I had them I've worn them for everything. I live at 10,200 so winter is cold and these are the coziest, most comfortable mitts ever. Now, I drive in them, I take them on runs when I go up high, I've worn them snow biking and to belay ice climbing. On the Rainier trip, I wore them all day every day, from melting snow, to sleeping at Camp Muir, to summit day. I only even used the Goretex exped mitts I brought as a shell during a bad storm, these mitts were the perfect amt of warm and windproof for everything else. They pack light and small so you can bring them anywhere just in case. I couldn't be more thrilled with them!
I will say, however, I had to make leashes for them, they don't have them, which only matters if you're taking them up high and fear losing them to high winds.

Good in extreme cold, added thin wool liner and outer shell glove when it got windier.
The silicone in the palms hade it tricky to handle some things, although the major problem was something quite weird, when the silicone got very cold it somehow started to affect the compass needle.

Quite literally "Sleeping Bags For Your Hands." They are obvious not very hardy, so don't expect to do too much when the mitts are on. Perfect for situations where you are staying put and not using your hands too much.

These mittens make my day. They are so cozy and light and attractive. My sister has bad circulation and they even kept her hands warm.

Solid down mitt for cold camping, I recommend purchasing an outer mitt to go over these if using them for more than keeping warm in camp.

Nice to put on between laps on the ice, provides good warmth on cold days! Light warm option in the ski pack, they also pack small! These are not to be used as a work mitten.

Awesome warmth in a light package! Nice to put on between laps on the ice and for walking into winter climbs! This is not a work mitten but provides good warm to warm cold hands after a climb.

I bought a pair of these a year ago, and loved them so much I bought my wife a pair. They are super warm, even if they have been sitting in the car over night. Also surprisingly durable for such a light mitten. We use them for everything from winter camping expeditions to driving to work in the morning. These are much warmer than any other gloves I have tried at similar price. They work great on their own, or can be used with over mitts as well.

great light mitts. I like how the pads are a bit sticky to help hold things. They're warm but not too bulky

Like a down bag for your hands. Very light. Best used to hang around outside after some aerobic activity as your hands get too hot and start to sweat if you use them for x-country skiing or snowshoeing. Great to have as a back up if anybody in your party gets cold hands. They warm up instantly and very light. Not sure about the sticky palms. I guess it's for mountaineers but it was a bit strange at first.

Ideal for keeping my hands toasty while walking my dog in the predawn Wisconsin winter mornings! They're like sleeping bags for my hands and the color is a nice departure from black or grey. I was going for warmth and got it. Thanks OR!

Wow these mitts are warm! I wore them guiding Mt Washington last week on a day that was -5 with a wind chill of -45. These went on just below tree line and didn't come off until back below tree line. My hands were never cold! They're not as durable as other OR mitts but for how I used them they'll be fine all winter guiding!

My wife always complains that her hands are cold unless we put her Arctic gloves on which are ridiculous for everyday use. These lightweight down mittens do the job good going outdoor research

I've been eating on these mittens for a while. Really good for chilly days. Like the color and I usually buy extra small or small. Extra small feels right.

Wow what an awesome piece to add! I got these to keep my hands warm on those long glassing sessions when it's bitter cold. Man did they do a great job. I wore a pair of merino gloves under these like a liner that way I still had a layer when it was go time. The tacky pad on the palm works well for holding on to your rifle and binos. And it's easy to focus your binos with them on.
