Great outdoor winter boot. Super comfortable to wear all day whether it's running errands in the rain or walking dogs in the cold winter mud. These are not the usual clunky winter boots and would compare them to the tall Hunter boots but warmer and with more support. I have my trusty old Hunter boots, but they are very cold to wear in the snow. These boots are warm with sufficient insulation. The only con for me was figuring out the right size. I usually run between an 8 & 9, but I ended up returning the 9's and ordering up to a 9.5 (which you will need to wear thicker socks in the winter.) Overall I am very happy with my purchase.

Purchased for my 17 year old daughter. She loves them. Even more gorgeous in person! Not the easiest to get on. Water proof, stylish, easy to wear.

I recommend sizing half a size up. I'm normally an8.5 and sized up to a 9 for a better fit. The smaller size was harder to get on. I love the Umber colored boot. It's very versatile. These have become my go to winter boot even if it's not snowing!

This is my second pair of slimpacks. These felt a half-size smaller than my normal size, and I'm glad I followed the advice of other reviews and sized up a half size. I have athletic calves, and I had no issue with fitting these over jeans. As with others of similar design from Sorel, these are very cute, but don't offer much in the way of true winter help on ice or in cold temperatures. These were a great option, however, when I needed something nice looking to wear to work in the snowy winter weather. I always get tons of compliments whenever I wear these or my older pair!

These boots are awesome! I was in love with my Slimpack Riding boots last season and was thrilled to see an updated version this year. This year's is much more streamlined and less clunky. They're also incredibly comfortable! I purchased these in black and the leather upper is gorgeous. Even trekking through snow, salt and slush, the leather has remained looking pristine. With a warm sock, my feet have remained toasty even in sub zero Chicago weather. I love the adjustable straps in the calf area as well! I normally wear a size 10, but ordered a half size up, as last year's 10 was a bit snug on me. It fits perfectly! I'm a dog walker, and walking for long periods of time with comfort is a necessity for me. I couldn't be happier with these as my go-to all weather boot. As much as I loved last season's, they've definitely made improvements in the construction of this design. LOVE them!!

Really great tall boot, looks awesome with leggings. I love to wear my Frey Melissa riding boots (which I also purchased from Zappos and love BTW) but when there is a lot of snow on the ground I want something that is waterproof and this just a great choice. I did prefer last year's style better which is why I put 3 stars there. Overall though, great functional/stylish boot that is true to size.

I LOVE these boots! They are casual and stylish. I have several pairs of Sorels these are my favorite.

Practical but also very stylish for being out and about in the snow. I sized up 1/2 size so I could fit heavier socks.

I am actually reviewing the Original Sorel Slimpack Riding Tall boots--the only difference was they had one buckle at the top of the boot and a leather piece that went under the foot. I have owned for two years and have never gotten so many compliments on anything in my whole life. I bought some "Sno-Seal" bees wax to put on them when I first got them bc I wanted to actually wear them in all types of weather. I wear them in all types of Chicago weather (spring, fall and winter) and they have held up perfectly!

I love these boots, the color i picked is not what arrived at my house. The shaft is about half an inch to small.

I absolutely love these boots! I had been wanting a pair, since the first set of Slimpack boots came onto the scene...These are incredibly comfortable boots...I can wear these out and about all day long, with no discomfort at all...I love the looks... very casual, yet stylish... Cute with skinny jeans, leggings, dresses and aprons, the Slimpack boots are very versatile...you will always garner many looks and compliments wherever you go with these boots... I'm not sure about the warmth in extremely cold weather, as we haven't had any yet, but they are very warm in mild to moderately cold weather....As far as size, they might run a wee bit snug, but I mostly find the fit is only difficult at the bottom of the shaft when trying to pull the boots on and off....once on, they fit perfectly....I just wear a thinner dress sock rather than a heavy boot sock to remedy this...now they pull on and off quite easily....otherwise, you might want to go up 1/2 size...I have no regrets in buying these boots...I wish I could afford to buy them in every color!

Buy them. So warm and comfy. I'm always a size 7 and I bought a 7.5 after reading other reviews and the 7.5 are perfect.

Lovely boot, good workmanship and flexible leather. Sadly, they don't fit my wide calves (15 3/4")

I loved these boots. They are absolutely gorgeous and make my size 11 1/2 feet look small. However, they were too small in length. I ordered the size 12 and could still feel the end of the boot with my toes. This was partially because the heel is high enough that my foot was sliding forward.

I love these! They're not bulky or clunky, very cute over skinny jeans or leggings. My cousins liked mine so much they both bought pairs. I measured my feet at the shoe store and I'm exactly a size 9. I bought a 9 and it's snug. I think with a bit of breaking in it'll be perfect with regular socks for fall/spring. If you want to wear them for winter with thicker socks, definitely go up a half size.

These boots are beautiful! I ordered the dark fog. They did run a 1/2 size smaller, but once I figured that out, they were perfect. Nobody beats Zappos return/exchange policy. There was a section of the leather that I wasn't sure about and I called customer service and they arranged for a new pair to a be shipped to me and I received them the very next day. Amazing customer service!

I really love these boots! They are so comfortable, versatile and stylish! They run small, I originally ordered an 8 (which is my normal size). So, I returned the 8 and ordered an 8.5 and they fit much better!

I looked at this boot several times before I decided to order - so glad I bit the bullet and bought a pair. I love them - they do seem to run a size small (I had read that on the Sorel site so ordered up) The foot is quite flexible - they don't wear like clunky winter boots at all. No problem getting them on or off, and the straps in the back to tighten them are great. Should be perfect for winter here in Maine, and hopefully last for a few years.

This boot was comfortable and had very good arch support. I have plantar fasciitis and high arches so the support is a huge factor for me. They seemed to run just a tad small though. I ordered in the grey color and sent them back because I wasn’t in love with the color in person. I think they Brown they used to come in would be nicer.

I love the boots! They look great and feel great. They fit me true to size and are very comfortable. I would love for Sorel to come back out with the more equestrian look boot again with the different colored flap over the top and strap under the bottom but since those are discontinued I purchased these and do really like them but would prefer the other look better. These are well made comfortable boots and I would highly recommend them. Zappos did a great job of getting there here in time even though I ordered last minute around Christmas.
