Normally, stride rite is my go-to kids brand. However, I am very disappointed with this pair. My son has had them for 1 week and the toe rubber is completely scraped off and the fabric of the tongue has split open on both shoes. My 3 1/2 year old is rough on shoes, but these should have held up to regular wear and tear for more than 1 week.

My son has a wide foot, so I was so excited to find shoes in an XW, and cute ones, too. My son loves them, and Zappos' next day shipping always makes me happy. That being said, he has had these less than 4 months & the seam at the toes has already come apart & I can see his big toe thru the hole. Kids are going to be kids, so at the price you pay, you should get better value. I'm ordering another pair, simply because they fit so well, hoping to get better life out of them. If not, I'll be back to the drawing board finding shoes for him.

I was excited at firstt when I purchased the shoes, but after my son wore them for only one week, they began to develop tears in the front. Now, I am very disappointed with this shoe, and wish I had not purchased them.

The front of the shoes were breaking after 2 weeks of wear and I just thought that it was because of the way he walks, but after less than 2 months of wear, the shoe completely crumbled. I understand that things are not meant to last forever but when you think you are buying quality shoes (all my 4 children grew up wearing stride rite shoes) so this pair is a total disappointment.

These shoes are not very durable and I don't recommend them for any active kids! After only 2 months, one of the soles had come out of the shoes and there were holes in the front toe area. I know my 7-year-old son can be hard on shoes, but I would expect these to last longer than 2 months. Thankfully, Zappos customer service is amazing and they took care of the issue!

My 4 year old fell in love with these the instant he put them on. An added bonus is that they are machine washable. He thinks they are really comfortable.

Great shoes! I purchased these and a pair of Saucony for my 5 year old son. These shoes fit him great! He tried on the Saucony and they were entirely too narrow so I returned them. These fit him very well and he loves them. My child is very hard on shoes and these toes look like they're going to withstand his shoe abuse. I would definitely recommend these shoes for any rough and tough little boy.

We've had 2 pairs of these shoes now for my 7 year old. The first pair had multiple holes near the front of both shoes and fraying fibers all over within about 3 months. I returned them in the hopes that they were defective. However, the replacement pair lasted around the same amount of time. My son is very active and hard on his shoes (as are most kids, I think), but I would expect a pair of sneakers to last more than 3 months, especially if they're branded "Made 2 play". I would not recommend these shoes, especially to parents of children with a hard-playing style.

These were great shoes for my 4yo son, and he wore them almost every day until he outgrew them. By that time they were pretty worn out, but still totally wearable. I would have bought them again in the next size up, but they were no longer available.

These shoes are great for my 6-year old. They hold up well and can be easily washed in the washing machine.

I love Stride Rite and these sneakers are a hit! They always last a loooooong time and always look good. My little active boy wears them everywhere.

My son loves these shoes so much, he wants to wear them daily! Hold up well and are nicely made. A winner for our family.

I love this brand and style and so does my kid.

This is a replacement for the 1.5 w he worn out. We will be a hard sell to switch to any other brands. Stride rite withstood over a year of hard play and lots of kicking. These shoes are as hardy as they come!

Usually my son wears a size 3 medium, but it was too tight for him. So, we order the 3 wide and it was much more comfortable for him. If your kid has a wider foot/wears a size a bit bigger for a bigger foot, order the wide size!

Loved these shoes, but they ran very small. Returned and ordered up a size. Sneakers that my son can run and play in but can also pass for church shoes.

Excellent well made shoes that stand up to active kids

We have purchased these shoes for years in multiple sizes for two active boys. They are a nice style and hold up well. They are good for a wide foot as well.

My son likes these shoes. I like that they are machine washable.

My son seems happy with them, and is comfortable running, jumping, and being a generally active kid. He can put them on by himself easily. They seem sturdy, but he's only been wearing them for less than a week.
