I'm on my feet 9+ hours a day delivering light to heavy packages.
These shoes are durable and comfortable. They have good shock absorption for the 150+ times a day I jump in and out of my truck. The slip resistance is pretty good. After a bit of wear and tear they aren't very waterproof so I would suggest water proof socks. I also bought the Columbia orthotic and it makes these even more comfortable.

This is my 4th Columbia boot in last 3 years and never dissatisfied with the quality.
In general only downside for this brand boots is they are low on cushioning esp. for long hikes

Had a good six months with these boots and really liked them until about six months later the uppers started to become disconnected from the soles. Loved them until then. Now, not so much.

I ordered two sizes at once for my husband who has large feet. We ordered a 14 and 15 to try out. They were very true to size. We kept the 15's and sent back the 14's. The entire process has been very smooth and simple. After reading reviews, we were warned that they weren't the most comfortable shoes, which was true. But otherwise they are great!

It's not very warm, I wore it out in the snow and my toes were freezing. But for your average cool day in the rain it works perfectly.

I have worn these boots for several years and have gone through about 6 pair. They are light, comfortable and the perfect boot for everyday use at play or work. However, the last pair I had fell apart with about 75% of expected life left in them. The sole de-laminated from the upper rendering them useless. I didn't have the store receipt so a warranty claim was out of the question. I just bought another pair so hopefully they live up to my expectations.

These are nice boots. I wanted Hi Tecs as a I have had two pair of them prior to this purchase, and they wore very well.
NO ONE online or stores had my size of 15 D in Hi Tec, if they did carry them, everyone was out of stock, so I thought I would try these, and so far, seem to be a good purchase. They are lighter than the Hi Tec boot. Shame on all of retail for not carrying many choices for those of us with 6 ft 7 height and large feet to support it!
I'd also recommend:
Hi Tec Altitudes are great boots if you can find the correct size.

Bought this shoe for work. I'm on my feet most of the day. So far I have found the shoe to be good quality but comfort somewhat lacking in the insole. I changed insole to an aftermarket and 90% improvement! Now I love the shoe as long as it holds up.

I love hiking and was looking for a shoe that is comfortable , waterproof , lighweight and easy to walk on rocks and terrains that are slippery. This shoe fitted all my needs I had. Last week we went for hike in Yosemite that was 15-18 miles with elevation of close to 5500 ft and route covered terrains that had waterfalls, rocks, mud. I felt very comfortable while hiking as cushions are very good, ankles fit in perfectly, all comfortable and good grip when climbing rocks. Although by end of our hike, the shoe was covered with dust but it was easy to clean by wiping with a wet cloth or wipe. So, overall I recommend this shoe for hiking.

the boot itself is good. the shoe laces suck. replace those and also get some good insoles. the black black shoes are soft roomy and comfy. the squash color is rigid and small so get the black. I learned the hard way i bought 3 pair and had to return 1 change of color is a change of size.

The wide size didn't fit my wide feet. I really need a EEE and these weren't that wide. I can wear a 10 EEE in New Balance these in a wide 10.5 were still too narrow for me. I would recommend for someone that doesn't have a very wide foot.

Only wore one time but they were very comfortable on the trip.I ordered a size 10.5 as I would normally and the width of the boot is great but they feel a little long for a 10.5.but over all no complaints very good quality boot.

One of my favorite things about Columbia boots through the years has been the consistent sizing. I know that I wear an 11M in Columbia boots: until this pair. I actually wonder if they sewed the wrong label into these. This is my second pair of Newton Ridge boots and I did not have this issue with the previous pair. I also put approximately 1500 miles on the previous pair before they sprang a leak.

Retired a pair of Timberland hikers that I've had for 10 years to get these. Very light in comparison, waterproof too. They run a little large but with thick hiking socks they're just right. Treads provide impressive traction also.

My foot size is 9 1/2, D width. But that size in this shoe (D is supposed to = Medium online) is too small and too tight for my feet. So I got size 10 Wide and it's comfortable with a little extra space in the toe area. Wore the boots in the rain and can vouch for the waterproof claim. Some concern about the top two shoelace hooks. Don't understand the vertical positioning. Puts more stress on them than if they'd follow the curve of the eyelets as I've had on other hiking boots that lasted for years. In fact, I purchased a competitor's boots with the same top two vertical hooks and the lace pulled one hook off after the second use. Bought these because the Columbia rep said they're warrantied for a year. So far so good.

A great value boot. My 4 star review is because there are things that can be improved, most notably the fit. I tie the laces up to the highest notch, otherwise my heel slips too much. But for the price, it is a great purchase and would do it again hands down.

I bought these waterproof boots to go on a hiking trip in Colorado in Jan so it was very snowy and wet there. The boots did live up to it's expectations in that, it was waterproof, which made a world of difference and they were really comfortable...I wear these boots now when I go take my dog on walks and stuff like that...the only problem that I noticed was that the outside of the boots has a lot of scratching now and that might be due to my using them a lot but other than that I thought they were great and did it's job very well...they do run a little large though, I'm usually a size 13 but I got a size 13 online for these boots and I feel like 12 would've been good for me.

I ordered a wide but I got a medium. I decided to keep them because the leather is soft and it shall stretch out. I walked 20 miles with them right now in Sunny Florida and they are they gave no problems. They fit suprisingly good. I still have to test them when its raining.

Nice boots, especially the fact that they are waterproof. A bit narrow, even ordering a wide. With thin socks they fit fairly well.
