The boots look very nice and feel sturdy enough that you think that your feet are safe, so far I have walked a couple of blocks and feel a bit too stiff, not crocs for sure. I think they are the perfect boot for hiking.

These are pretty classic hiking boots & a good deal for the price. Good grip & ankle support, stiff to start but do break in with some wear, waterproof but not particularly warm so you can do a lot of walking in them. I would like it if the wide version was a bit wider- it's really not much wider than a standard shoe.

I garantee you can not find a pair of boots that are as comfortable as these. I wear them for more than 10 hour a day at work. They are light and have great treads. I hate heavy boots and these boots are the cure. I started jumping after I put them on because I felt I could fly.

I've only worn them three times so far but they were comfortable right out of the box
and so far have been waterproof - repelling slush and snow nicely. The one thing that jumps
out is the weight - nice and light. My color combo was on sale - at $59 they're a steal.

To start.. I'm 6'5", 330 lbs man who wears size 16 W. Lately I've been running into trouble fitting myself into that size. Some might suggest manufactures are shrinking shoes but in my case I might just need an extra wide shoe. Having that in mind I believe the Coloumbia Newton Ridge III size 16W has the right length but needed a bit more space in the forefoot. Boots are worn with thick socks and the fit does not allow me to thicken my socks in order to increase cushoning, I'm a large guy afterall. Boot's stability is average for my needs. I'm a moderate overpronator and with a little adjustment to the insoles I will achieve desired medial support. Insoles are removable which will allow for freedom of choice. Uppers are pretty decent but laces should have been longer. I had to lace from 2nd loop upwards to make the laces reach all the way up and tie nicely at the top. This worked because I needed all space at the forefoot. For a couple of months I will be using this boot as a winter boot. It had great traction on the snowy sidewalks of Philadelphia. On these hard sidewalks I felt the boot needed more cushoning but I realize it's a hiking boot not made for hard surfaces. I Will pick up trail walking in this boot as it gets warmer around here. I thank Coloumbia for offering this boot in this hard to find size and will be looking around for more products in this size.

Gifted these boots to my dad and he said it was a great gift. He said they are versatile and comfortable since they are lightweight.

The wide was not wide enough to accommodate bunion so unfortunately had to return. Felt quite stiff as well but likely would have loosened up. Great price point though for a sturdy waterproof boot. Timberland worked better for width.

These boots are great for hiking because of the waterproof material. However, the boots could use a little more cushioning on the sole. I put in a sole I like and they are much better now! Overall great boot!

I have flat wide feet, 6'0, 250 and the 14 wide were comfortable after a couple days of breaking in. Ive had them on for a couple weeks now, and spending a lot of time walking and on my feet comfort and fit are important. I will say the dark blue in the sunlight do get a little warm.

Comfortable boot true to size. Padding along the ankle support area is very comfortable, but could use a premium insole. The outside material is very nice, however, can get scuffed up easily.

I just came back from Iceland and got to test these out pretty extensively. I didn't do any super long or intense hikes, but these seemed very comfortable and fit well without too much movement. I crossed a few streams and climbed up some waterfalls and there was some slight leakage into the tip of the toe box. This happened on both the left and right shoe. My socks weren't completely soaked but they were wet and needed to be changed. For the most part they are excellent but I wouldn't have your toes submerged for more than half a second.
As for the sizing, I usually wear a 10.5 standard or a 9.5-10 Wide; I ordered this in 10 Wide and it fits well.

I've always been impressed by Columbia boots and this one is no exception. Great for backpacking and day hikes off the beaten path, also good for staying dry and warm on cold rainy days around the city.

These hikers fit perfectly and perform perfectly. the soles wear out on the bottom to Quickly for the price! I wish Columbia could tuffen up the sole a bit so as to not feel every rock you step on. Other than the sole I love to wear them.

I am really happy with these boots. They do exactly what they're meant to do for a reasonable price. Super comfortable and water resistant.
Only downside is that the top two metal hardware eyelets make it a little difficult to keep tight when tying your shoes. Very minor inconvenience though!

These boot are nice. They could use some more cushion for your feet. They warm and dry in the snow and rain. It is a recent purchase but it seems like they will last for a while.
