The boot is considerably lighter than my old pair which is good. The break in period was non existent, put the boots on and by the end of the day they were broken and comfortable. Very happy with this choice.

I bought these in search of something to help my feet, knees and back not hurt after walking on the hard concrete of the prison all night. These hold up, keep my feet dry and comfortable (hot or cold weather of texas), they shine up nice and did the trick for my back, knees and feet. I will be reordering these every year.

The Columbia Newton Ridge Plus II waterproof boots are comfortable and stylish. They are also lightweight and not cumbersome. I wore them in the rain and they kept my feet warm and dry. I am very pleased with this purchase.

This is a great light hiking shoes with a strong grip. It looks great and my friends gave me compliments about the look of it.

So far, good quality and function. I like the color and fit of the shoe. Think I'll get a dark grey pair for the fall.

Purchased two pairs of these for my sons to wear on a weeklong hiking trip in Big Bend. These shoes were great. They said they were very comfortable.

I bought these boots as a backup to use while my primary boots were drying, I work on highway construction sites and we have had an extremely wet spring. It took several days to break the boots in but after the break in period I have found myself wearing these daily, they are light weight and comfortable. I like them so well that I bought another pair when they were on sale recently.

These boots are for an Alaska trip. I'm testing them now in upstate NY through puddles tall wet grass and they ARE ABSOLUTELY WATERPROOF. I appreciate when a product says it's waterproof AND it is!! Doesn't slways happen. Comfortable and rugged tread. Excited that after the trip they will be so handy to have right here at home. Good price, too.

I have had Newton Ridge shoes before and I have always been pleased. It's a good sturdy shoe. I find it good for casual dress as well. Take a good look at this one.

Bought these for my husband. He loves them. We typically buy Timberland, but have found a superior product. Love them and the quality!

I work as a Route Truck driver, and have worn Columbia shoes for years, because they are the only light weight shoe that stands up to all the stress of the job, and weather conditions, I live in Michigan and experience all 4 seasons and these shoes are tough enough to handle them all. I highly recommend , you wont find a better shoe.

Offer a high resistance for adventure days hiking.

This is my 2nd pair. I'm a postal worker so I am really serious about my feet and comfort because im in them all day and put in miles of walking in no time through all weather. These boots are great in the snow, rain, or just everyday work wear. I have had my first pair for over a year and they are still great, still keep my feet dry through rain and snow. I will definitely continue ordering these boots, at least twice a year and definitely recommend.

My husband loved these boots. He said they were very lightweight but always kept his feet warm and dry during our trip to Iceland. He ordered them in black, so they were also stylish enough to wear with jeans when heading out for a bite or to grab a drink at a local bar. He mentioned the toe felt a little stiff to walk in until he broke them in. They're definitely a good-quality pair of boots that he'll have for a long time.

Living in Colorado's mtns hikers are a must. Owned many top brand hikiers but these are my go to one's. Lightweight, comfy and grippy for tough terrain whether in the high country or walking the dogs. Did I mention the waterproofing works great too.

I've worn these a couple times a week at work. Work includes indoors and outdoors. These boots have held up very well over the past year. They are one of my favorite pairs of boots.

I bought these in black because they have a nicer almost polished looking finish. I like to wear them when I'm not quite trying to be dressed up. They are a touch stiffer than my Peak Freaks, but I still love them.

These were perfect on our trip to Alaska. A great pair of hiking boots.

Many things in our lives were, at least in our memories, much better many years ago, say when we were children. Candy bars come to mind. Stuff was usually built right with good ingredients and was built to last. However, one thing that was not better back then was the outdoor hiking boot. Ridiculously expensive, they were stiff, heavy, never waterproof, and usually gave the wearer blisters and pain. "Breaking in" boots was a mandatory ritual that could go on for many wearings. But not these boots. My new Newton Ridge II boots came out of the box and fit my feet perfectly. They are light as a feather and almost as comfortable as house-slippers. I had planned to walk around on the carpet indoors for a few trials before going outdoors, but I fell in love immediately and was soon tromping around outdoors. They feel better every time I put them on. Being water-proof is another great benefit I plan to enjoy hiking this summer! Progress has it's blessings and this is one good example.

I recently purchased Men's Newton Ridge Plus II Waterproof Hiking Boots. When we went on a hiking journey, I was the only one whose feet didn't hurt and didn't have to change my socks every few hours. These boots are amazing and so light on your feet. I would compare these boots to my house slippers which would be difficult to choose the house slippers over the boots do to the comfort level of the boots! My hoofs thank Columbia and so do I!! Keep up the great work!!
