Might be a little narrow, but by the time they break in and I start hiking in them, I feel they will be perfect. Very comfortable and the leather is soft.

I got the wide size and was able to wear thick merino wool socks. I just hiked 30 miles in the Smokies and treaded through ice,snow,slush and mud. My feet stayed completely dry and warm, no pain anywear. The wide size made it the best fitting boot I've ever had. I've only had them a couple weeks and hope they hold up to all the miles I put in. I should buy an extra pair in case they change/discontinue these. I first wore them to work in 93' heat and my feet wear warmer than usual, not sure how they'll be in the summer but will be awesome the other3 seasons!

This boot is very comfortable. I really appreciate the wide option so that my flat feet fit more comfortably. Highly recommend it for anybone interested. The grey boot I thought was a great and stylish option as opposed to the brown or black. The boot has great grip I've used it while walking on icy and wet surfaces and it provides a good, comfortable and safe grip.

These hiking boots instantly became my new favorite footwear. Now I wear them for both hiking and everyday wear. They look good enough to wear with casual clothes and are rugged enough for use on the trail.

Outstanding boot for the price, Wore these for the right out of the box for work 10-12 hr days since I received them with no usual break in or discomfort that I had with similar boots. They are light and comfortable, and were a little larger than I'm used to; but that was easily overcome by adding a set of orthotic inserts which made them even more comfortable.

I gave this product to my partner and he loved. It looks nice, it is comfortable and it can handle even snow. I would recommend this hiking boots to everyone!

No break in needed good from the get go.

My wife bought me a pair Sorel hiking boots for Christmas that I had to return. I had worn those boots for months before a slight problem occurred. After sending them back and them acknowledging the problem they immediately sent me a credit for the boots. Super easy. At any rate, I did a quick google search for best hiking boots 2018 this Columbia model ranked in the top 5. Wow, my credit not only applied to Sorel boots, but also to Columbia, so I pulled the trigger. These are by far the best hiking boots I've ever owned. Perfect fit, super comfortable and completely waterproof. I could not be happier.

PERFECT TO WALK, CONFORTABLE

This wide size hiking boot is a great fit. I am completely satisfied in every way except for the insoles. It should have softer removable insoles. Memory foam is the rage right now, and for good reason. This easy fix would upgrade the boot many times over.

I've been wearing these boots as my everyday wear shoes for work, and being on my feet all day they feel great. This weekend I wore them on a hike at Blue Hills Reservation in the snow and ice, and they kept my feet warm and dry, and gave me sure footing on the slippery areas of the trails.

got these for my son. he walks to school (1/2 mile each way) in the PNW weather. lots of rain, some snow, and wet grassy fields. he said these boots are great and he walks through bigger puddles to show his friends that they are waterproof. he wears them everyday right now due to weather. couldnt if asked for a better boot. thank you for making these boots in wide. he hates shoes tight on his feet. will definately be sticking with columbia boots for him.

Bought these for my hubby. These are well made comfortable boots. Needed thick boot socks. Not sure how comfortable that'll be when summer hits in the desert. But, so far. Outstanding protection and traction.

For the price, these boots are great. They are very comfortable, shed water well, and seem durable. I wear a size 10.5 running shoe and a size 10 boot, and these boots fit as expected.

Very comfortable with fashion

It's hard to find good shoes that you love to buy over and over again. But the Columbia Waterproof Newton Ridge boot is that shoe. I've purchased 3 pairs of these boots over the years: they are super comfortable and durable. Hiking boots have to be comfortable for long walks in the Pacific N. W. The boot is well balanced, not heavy. And despite being leather and waterproof, they seem to breathe without the discomfort of overheating your feet. I highly recommend this boot. I'm so glad I found I the perfect boot so can spend more time outdoors instead trying on boots indoors.

Lightweight and flexible. I have the black and brown for work. Very comfortable to walk in for extended time

these boots are durable and waterproof since they are made for hiking, yet, they are very comfortable to wear. I wear them for everyday use and am very pleased with the way the boot tread is wearing and the feel of comfort on my feet

I got these in preparation for a hiking trip and I love them. Waterproofing and plenty of traction make them a great shoe to get adventurous in.

I work outside all year and these boots keep my feet completely dry. They are comfortable walking on rocks, gravel, or pavement. These are the best work boots I've ever owned.
