Super comfy coat! Could wear it skiing/snowshoeing, but haven't yet. Given to me by my husband for Christmas - plan to wear it watching my son's lacrosse games this Spring when temps in the bleachers are chilly and the metal seats are so cold.

Not as bulky as I thought it would be, but still just as warm as I need! it's great for winters in Cleveland!

XS fits with a thin layer, but sized up to a S to fit sweaters underneath. I'm 5'7" and 125 pounds for reference.

Great coat, very warm. Do wish the hood was larger. I wear pony tails a lot and the cold doesn't quite fit over that.

I love these coats . Definitely will recommend to friend's.

I like how the coat comes down to my knees which keeps my legs warm in cold weather. Also, the hood fits my head snugly to keep wind out. It's lightweight and comfortable with great mobility which are other big pluses.

I teach elementary school in Maine - this coat is perfect for recess duty. I've gotten lots of compliments on the style. Only complaint are some rogue feathers here and there.

The navy color is a nice, dark, sophisticated shade. The overall lines of the jacket are sleek and stylish. It is comfortable and will keep you toasty warm in most conditions. I hope to enjoy it for many years to come.

I am a college student and I walk everywhere! I was given this coat as a Christmas present and I love it. Very warm but not too bulky! I'm 5' 2" and goes a little past my knees and keeps me warm while walking around campus!

this coat was exactly what i was looking for, i ordered several (miss metro, far northern, gotham, etc.) the metropolis 2 was the best in all categories, because of the contour it's extremely flattering but not too tight anywhere, love the longer length sleeve, love th collar and detachable hood, the coat length is perfect. It's so cute i got th love urban navy because it was a little different from typical black and i love it! not restriction in moving anywhere, i can throw it on with uggs and a sweatshirt or high heels and a dress and it's perfect. couldn't be happier! blocks the MN cold and wind, but isn't too bulky. i got the small and would normally teter between medium and small, glad i got the small it fits perfectly!

I bought this a size up to be able to wear thicker clothing underneath and it's perfect. Every time I put it on I feel like I'm wrapped in a big hug. Favorite part is the large hood. This helps keep me the warmest I've been in any winter coat I've owned.

Perfect coat......

I have been looking for a warm down coat that is warm without adding too much bulk, and this fits the bill! I have long arms and the arms are just long enough for me. Gray color is pretty. I'm 5'9" and 140lb, and got the small, which fits well (even a tad large in the body).

The best winter coat ever,Seriously! It meets all my expectations on a winter coat. So I purchased the white and quail grey color of this coat again after I tried this one! So lightweight, stylish and flattering. No duck/goose smell like many other down jackets. The feathers don't poke out on mine like what they said in some other comments. A very happy purchasing experience!

It is a birthday gift for my daughter who will be going to college in a cold environment next year :)

Love the material of this coat. I originally ordered a 2xl because I was worried about it fitting over my hips. I exchanged for an xl.

This coat is warm and stylish.It's loose enough in the body that you can wear a sweater underneath, but also fitted so you don't have to look like the Michelin Man. Sleeves are long (and I have long arms) and the length covers your butt but doesn't restrict walking. I bought the Grey Heather, and it has a nice textured look. I have bought two of these - one for my daughter - and when I saw how nice it was, I bought one for myself.

I bought one for myself and liked it so much, I bought one for my daughter. I was traveling on a business trip and needed a warm, un-bulky coat for both multiple environments both business and urban but versatile enough for casual, outdoor use at home. It doesn't leave me covered in down feathers like my old jacket. Sometimes I have found the zipper is a little fussy, but that's the only issue I've had. Love this coat.

Fits great! Slightly longer though. I am only 5 foot so it comes past my knees. But keeps me very very warm. Not too heavy.

I had been looking at jackets from other brands. They were not true to size, difficult to track down, etc. I was hooked on the idea of packable and came across North Face on the Internet. I thought it would be worth a shot. This jacket was perfect for me. I love the length. Has a two-way zipper to make length workable for getting into car, etc. Beautiful color. Slimming in its design. I love how soft the material is while still being tear-resistant.

Love this coat. First, I ordered it in Vaporous Gray; but, in real life the color seemed "dirty," rather than the pretty cream pictured. So, I exchanged it for navy, which is both lovely and looks like the color on screen. I ordered a small which fit great. But, sitting down with gloves in the pockets it was a bit snug (I'm pear shaped), so I ordered it in a medium to see which will work best. I'm excited to have a warm coat that comes to my knees. For some reason this length is not so easy to find.

I purchased this coat to use when I am out at dusk or after dark. It is a great alternative to TNF black, which I also own and love. This is perfect-warm, comfortable, two-way zip, lots of pockets. I get comments when I wear it and people ask where they can get one of their own.
