I wanted this coat because it is long and warm and ordered size S (small) since I have other NorthFace long parka and size small fits me well. However, this long coat is way too small - it fits like a XXS instead of S. Since I ordered it at summer time, I just checked if the size S was delivered and put it in the closet. When cold weather came I wanted to wear it and found out that it is way too small and can't wear it! while my old parka size S fits me perfectly.

Wanted to love this coat, it's so difficult to find a coat that falls below the knee at a reasonable price. This is not what I've come to expect from TNF. Its not warm enough for under 35 degrees, which I expected in a winter coat. It would be great for someone who feels freezing in 40 degree weather. It is very lightweight, but only because it's thin. The length is great but the level of warmth is not. Unfortunately, will have to return and keep searching for a great long winter coat!

I just wish the coat had more fill. More down. A little thicker.

The down feathers are already coming on the second wear. Not a well constructed item. I've loved North face and wanted this long Parka for while. I'm a bit disappointed.

I am a commuter in Chicago. I bought this coat to keep me warm on the super cold commute. I love that it is long and keeps my legs warmer. The coat is lighter weight and not as warm as some of the other North Face products I've owned. The major complaint though is the hood. It is tiny and paper thin. Not only does it not keep your head warm but there is no room for a hat. I have had other coats with much larger hoods that fit comfortably and work well. All in all, this coat is a major disappointment for the cost.

I bought this coat to replace an off brand I bought years ago. I was hoping this would be as warm as that one, but it doesn't. You can barley feel the down in the coat and it fit rather snug on my shoulders. everywhere the coat was tight, I could feel the cold. My old coat was never that way, you could feel the down easily and I rarely got cold while wearing it. I actually send the coat back for a refund and purchased another from a different manufacturer. I was a bit disappointed as this coat had the inside pocket that I use all the time and it looked great, just wasn't warm enough and the temperature here is usually never below -10.

Quality North face product, except the sleeves could be an inch longer, and it needs a heavy fill or removable liner.

I purchased a similar down coat years ago and was looking to update the look. While this coat does have the look and a great fit, it was not as warm as my old one. The winters are not as cold as here but it can get 30 below with wind chill. This coat did block the wind, has an inside pocket and detachable hood which are the things I was looking for, but it just wasn't warm. it is very lightweight and doesn't feel like there is much filling in the coat at all.

The coat is nice. The sleeves are too exact! I would like it more if it was a little longer. The length of the sleeve has me genuinely worried. I have not worn it outside yet but I'm hoping that it is warm. It also isn't as long as I thought. If a video was available with a model wearing the coat that would have been more helpful. I thought it would come closer to to my ankle but it doesn't. I'm 5'4 and it comes below my knee but above the mid Calf. It is sleek and fashionable. I just thought the sleeves would be longer and the coat, in general, would be longer.

I found the questions on fit to be very helpful in determining the appropriate size for me. I am disappointed in the unwillingness to provide a temperature range for the coat. I did ask about temperature range (the live chat was easy to use) and I was told that since everyone responds to cold differently, it is difficult to make comments. While I do understand this, providing a range with an added reminder that we all respond as individuals to temperature, wind chill and humidity differently would have been helpful. So it is in my closet until the cold sets in, at which time I will be able to determine if it is what I want.

I purchased this coat, took one look at it before even putting it on and could not believe it was a North Face. It felt like something that would be ordered on a Facebook clothing page like Lulilly or something. The fit was awful, way too baggy, it weighed about 1/2 lb and the quality was terrible. This is not a $99 jacket, it's a jacket that cost over $400....not worth even half that price. I am really disappointed. North Face you'd better go back to your roots. This is not what I expected of this company.

This is my main jacket for most uses and I bought it to replace a very old and much loved North Face down jacket. The winter here has been extremely cold with brutal windchills so I was looking forward to this long length down jacket. I've been very pleased with other North Face products in the past. When this one arrived, it seemed particularly thin, extremely light weight, and not as insulated as expected. Also, the rating on the tag said minimum 75% down which was much lower than expected. Feathers and down are already coming out and the jacket is barely a week old. And the zipper doesn't always start feeding properly making it difficult to close. Extremely disappointing. I'm considering returning it but I need a warm coat!!!

I originally bought a Triple C about 10 years ago. I wore this coat to death. The zipper finally died about two years ago, and I tore a hole in the arm (currently covered with a patch), so I finally decided to update. First disappointment: this new version is several inches shorter than my original Triple C. My original is Small, and even the Medium in the new version is significantly shorter than my first coat. Also, the first coat had a zipper AND snaps (which is why I've been able to use the coat even after the zipper stopped working.) I used this feature A LOT and it's a noticeable difference only being able to zip the new version. Warmth-wise I haven't been able to evaluate it b/c we haven't had any truly cold days yet. It does feel thinner than my other coat, but that may not necessarily mean anything. As for the fit, the Small is just a hair too small, and the Medium feels too roomy. I was so looking forward to the new and improved Triple C and am disappointed in the result.

Either the coat is confused, or I am confused. The very long length together with down suggests a coat to wear on very cold day (at least below -5 C), maybe waiting for a bus or train - somewhere where you would not be wearing wind pants or base layer and your legs will get cold in a shorter coat. Or a on a walk. The length is excellent. The coat is light but from other similar weight down garments, I assume it would do its job of keeping me warm. The two way zipper seems solid. The trim tailored fit and light weight are nice . But then other features that should be there - aren't. There are no sleeve cuffs - wind can go right up the sleeves. The zipper guard is on the inside so snow/freezing rain can seize up the zipper. The bottom of the coat is missing the expected snaps to make movement easier in some situations. The collar is short and wide - wind will whip right down the coat. The hood is not deep enough to be useful, will not keep wind off forehead, even when adjusted. And it doesn't seal the neck area at all - so together with the useless collar and missing sleeve cuffs, the coat is a wind tunnel. The coat would work for around-town-in-and-out-of-car-and-mall activity, but for that, something shorter (and cheaper) is better (and possible) for me (and I have that already) So I don't know who is confused. Me or the coat? Was the coat subject to a confused design or bad late-breaking cost-cutting decisions that stole its functional detail? Or was I confused in thinking the combination of North Face + down + length + price tag should add up to functional but flattering cold weather garment? Either way, back it goes. I can go spend twice as much to get light weight, way more function AND similar fashion. Or I could spend half as much for way more function, adequate fashion, and give up the light weight. The function just isn't optional. I guess I just do not understand this coat.

Same as other reviewers.... the feathers/materials from this coat are coming out. I've worn it a handful of times. Inexcusable given the accompanying price tag.

I use this product out casually and to work. It feel great and I was really excited to get it. I love the non-traditional color. Unfortunately a lot of the material from the coat has been coming out in the few times I have had the opportunity to wear it.

I bought this as a liner to my duster-style raincoat. Both together are just about warm enough for a brisk walk in 31 degree weather, but I wouldn't wear this alone or together with the shell in really cold (say, teens) weather.

I purchased this product several years ago. After many good years of service my wonderfully warm coat has gotten worn out. I wanted to replace it about two years ago but a friend got the new design and I wasnt fond of it. I like the way the most recent design looks but the warmth factor has diminished tremendously. Also, this style no longer comes in XXL which was very disappointing. I'm sure I'm not the only person who needs a little extra room. I ordered the XL anyway. I went outside on a very cold night and found that that this new coat is not nearly as warm as my old one. I would not recommend this coat at this price based on my previous [much better] experience.

Bought this to replace an older version of the coat. The one I have is just as long but stitched like the Metropolis style. I love the old coat but found this one to be much less comfortable, especially in the shoulder area, no way near the quality. The new version has much less down, and is not nearly as warm. They should have stuck with what worked. Returned this coat and am looking at other brands for the length and warmth of the old version of this coat. I walk 30 miles a week in Michigan winters and this coat does not have the quality, warmth or fit.

Just didn't fit right, so I returned it. I'm 5'6" and had ordered the small, but the contour of the cut looked like it was more of a medium. I didn't bother ordering th extra small because the sleeves most likely would have been too shirt. I also did not like the style of the quilting on the coat - the diamonds pattern was smaller on the top and larger on the bottom. Lastly, I'm not sure how warm the coat is, but it almost felt too thin.

It looks great, it fit great, but it is so surprisingly thin. Perhaps it is high quality down, but it looks and feels no more than wind breaker. Too expensive for me to justify keeping when it looks like it won't do much. Can't wait for the first 20 degree day to test it. I returned it.
