Well made, great style, light weight but warm. Wish it was true to size or a bit bigger because I had to return due to size (I am a true XL/1X and would not be able to wear a sweater under).

I am new to the country and survived the last winter with a north face jacket that i borrowed from a cousin. Coming from a much warmer climate the brutal winter of New York was a blow on my face. I survived the last winter and was looking for a parka and what better time than summer to shop for winter. I am sure that prices will shoot up by winter and stocking up on the warm things early in the year. I have not had a chance to wear this but I am very sure that it is warm and will let me fight through the winter storm. I love it and will be shopping more!

I live in the Midwest and thank God it's still summer! I bought this coat because I've heard fabulous things about Northface products so I want to see for myself how warm this coat will be this winter. I love the color, the fit and how lightweight it feels! That is the ONLY thing I am looking forward to about the upcoming cold weather!!

Bought this in a gray Small (I'm 5'1"), and it fits wonderfully, and is warm, lightweight, and stylish. You couldn't ask for more in a winter parka that's also reasonably-priced, and sets you apart from the C----- Goose lemmings ;). Two-way zipper is really handy for this length, so I can unzip from the bottom to walk and drive comfortably. No complaints except for the sometimes-sticky zipper that won't quite catch and pull up.

Been looking for a long winter coat and ordered this one in a large knowing I would wear sweaters. The coat looked great but it ran too large! Going to exchange for a med. I’m 5ft 9 with long arms I’m hoping that the arm length will fit.

I work in the city, Boston and wear this coat daily to work. The length is great as you get good leg coverage for those cold windy days.

I am looking forward to wearing this coat next winter! It is very lightweight, and I love the length. I get very cold in the winter, so I can't wait to wear a coat that will keep me cozy and warm.

I expected this coat to be as long as the version I bought over 10 years ago. It is much shorter.

I bought this coat for my mom and she is very happy with it. It is lightweight but she says it is still very warm although it hasn't dropped below 30 degrees here yet so I cannot confirm for the extreme low temps. Oh I am 5'2" and I tried it on and for me it was a bit too long - my heel hit the back of the coat when I walked. Hope that helps.

The jacket felt little big so I had to change to the smaller size but I could return at the store easy and order another one. It could fit little better and could be more sporty but the long length would be great for sitting in the cold weather for long time.

Love the coat! Even though the price dropped $100.00 after I bought it. It is still a great coat! Once again I just love it

I do love the coat, the length is perfect, my only complaint is it is not quite as windproof as I thought it would be. Definitely great for going out in cold weather in workout clothes though, from house to car to gym, to stores, etc.

Not quite as warm as I thought, but fine with a sweater underneath. Very stylish! I bought the L so I could fit a heavy sweater underneath. I just love it!

Love the color, love how soft this is... I do not feel that is heavy enough to withstand strong winds however and below freezing temps combined. If its super cold and windy the bottom of the coat is too light to stay put and keep in the warmth. I think this coat would be perfect for cold weather above 32 F

Bought this coat for my wife as a gift. She told me that she wanted a long coat and the original North Face she looked at did not go as far as the knees. Well, this coat is long, my wife is 5'4" and curvy. The medium was snug and not attractive so I bought the large. This coat is past her calf in length. It is difficult to zip because the zipper goes all the way to the bottom and makes it difficult to get in and out of her SUV. The up side is that the coat is very light and comfortable, it is also much warmer than any of her short coats. This coat looks fantastic and is very warm.

I purchased this jacket for NYC winter days spent standing idly at the playground while my kids run around. Meaning it's usually not crazy cold like other parts of the U.S. but I'm not moving much and it's usually breezy. Honestly the down filling (550) seems thin in the arms and torso so I expect to wear at least another jacket underneath it, but the quilting is larger at the butt and legs so the down there is thicker which is the primary reason I purchased the jacket, to keep the lower half of my body warm. And that's where this jacket wins, the zipper goes all the way down to the calf and then buttons the rest of the way to my ankle. I tried two full length LL Bean jackets that were both thicker (more down filling) but didn't close the full length which I think would let more cold in so I returned them and kept this one. The styling/finish on this is more flattering as well. Aside from the thin down filling in the torso//arms, the only other thing I would change is adding a flap to the hood so that there's another layer of insulation to keep the wind out when the hood is up.

I like this coat a lot, but had to make two adjustments: 1) added insulated material added to the tops of the shoulders (inside coat) and around the shoulder area. The coat was really thin in these places. I took it back to the store but they said it wasn't a defect so I kept it. I was so surprised at the thin should that I stopped others with this coat on the street all winter (Boston area) to ask if they were having the same problem. Most said yes. 2) added a detachable fur (extension) to the front of the hood. The hood didn't extend far enough forward either to block cold air or to stay in place (unless the elastic cords were drawn so tight your head was bent over) Otherwise a good coat -- very light, long, warm, easy to thrown on. I especially appreciate the well-covered neck and collar area -- no need for a scarf.

I bought a North Face coat for my husband last year and he wore it all the time, so I expect this will work well for me. I kept borrowing his coat because North Face clothing usually runs so incredibly small that I cannot even fit into even their XL sized clothes. But this XL coat fits me perfectly. I usually wear a large in a winter coat and most any jacket. It is 91 degrees today in Wisconsin, so I don't know how warm this coat will be in February. But North Face sells out so quickly, I had to buy it while the buying was good.
