Love the jacket, super warm and still elegant. Only issue is I can't zip it all the way up because it pokes in my throat. Other than that it's great. I still love to wear it!

Amazing parka coat!!! Wore this in Iceland in March and was amazed by how warm and weatherproof it is. I was able to get away with a light sweater or long sleeve shirt underneath. I generally wear a small but opted for a medium for some extra room for sweaters. It was perfect! Also, there are drawstrings all over that allow it to adjust every which way... including the good, which was really important with the high winds in Iceland sometimes reaching over 30 mph and freezing cold. Super cozy!!
Definitely, highly recommend. 4/5 stars as it could have been a bit warmer and runs small based on my experience but easily could be 5/5.

I have an odd body shape with wide hips so I'm not surprised that the hips are tight and the upper body is baggy. The double zipper tends to get caught up when trying to unzip at the bottom. Otherwise I really like this jacket. Good craftsmanship and lots of pockets, warm, waterproof.

Its the warmest jacket and trendy design with useful pockets. I usually fit in XS but for this jacket i preferred a S.
If someone is looking to update this jacket I would recommencement making the neck area more cozy and comfortable. Right now when I zip all the way up its a thin fabric (that pokes sometime) and there is space between my skin and jacket. I have a jacket that is thick and filled with flux fur even around neck such that I never need to add scarf, my neck is all tucked in.

A nice winter parka. The color garnet looks good on me. But I ordered a wrong size. I shouldn't have gone one size up to S. My arms are swimming in the jacket. Many comments said it restricted movements, which does not apply to me. I guess it depends on if you have wide shoulders, which I don't. I should have stuck to XS. So I ended up sending it back. But they don't have XS left in that color.

I bought the arctic parka in a medium and way too boxy and bulky for me. Ended up getting this in a medium and it fit much better. There is still some extra space around the back but it doesn't bother me enough not to keep it. I am usually between a small being too small and a medium being too large because of my bust size - 36C and I'm 5'5" 123 lbs with a very short torso. This is a good fit for me. It's your basic north face coat with faux fur trim, not much else to say but it feels warm for those cold winter days although haven't tried it out. The back comes down almost to the back of my knees which I think I'll appreciate when the cold wind is blowing.

It was time to replace my older North Face winter coat and bought this style after seeing in the store. It's stylish but also great quality, like my older jacket. I like the long length in the back and the textured fabric, and of course the fur hood.

This is a very well made coat. It feels like it will be very warm, waterproof, and durable. The hood is definitely large enough to protect from elements. Got it to walk dogs in cold rainy New York weather. If it had fit me well, it would've been a keeper. For reference, I am 5'3", 150 lbs. Columbia medium fits me best, although a bit snug at the hips (I pretty much have hourglass shape). This North Face jacket is the opposite of how Columbia fits me -- the medium is very narrow at the shoulders and tight on the chest, but roomy in the hips. I could not put my hands together in front of me with the arms straightened. If I go for the large, the arms would be way long and the hips overly loose. So this is probably for women with narrower shoulders, but with larger hips. I'm bummed coz the price is good and it is a very well made coat.

I liked this coat a lot. Good fit and length (5'2", 130lbs, size small, black). Could wear a sweater underneath if needed and the bottom came a few inches from my knee which was perfect. However, I sent it back for two reasons... the fur on the hood was odd in that when put on, it created a visor effect. Some might not mind but the look did not appeal to me. Also, there was a trim on the pockets and zipper that looked like it belonged on a mens coat. Almost like a reflector material. From afar, you probably can't see it but up close it wasn't very feminine. I just thought if I'm paying that amount of money, I want to be in love with the coat. And I felt more like I just wanted to be friends with it instead.

I like this style better than puffy coats but this coat is heavy and tight. Will be looking for something else.

I want to like this jacket but the fur trim is only on the top half of the hood and sticks out like a brim of a baseball cap. It is very odd looking

Love the fit, except that the front of the coat by the zipper is too high and it hits my chin. Wish it had a inner drawstring to make it more snug. Wish the fur around the hood was better quality.

Love the style but a bit too snug around shoulders and hips. Had to return for a medium. Can't wait to receive it and wear it!

This coats definitely keeps me warm and is great for snow/rain as it's waterproof. Although I didn't buy it for it's aesthetic, it has a nice feminine shape. The only thing I would say is that the hood is a weird shape and I've got to unzip the top part of the coat to put it up. A part from that, it's a great coat for cold & wet weather!

I just received my NF today and to my surprise it's a very slim fit and therefore does not fit me as a regular medium should. No where in the description of this coat did it say it was a slim fit.....I am so disappointed. I don't have a coat to where right now since I left my everyday winter coat at my sister's while visiting out of state. The coat actually has a small tag that says "slim" on it and that was clearly was not indicated prior to ordering it. Will be returning and possibly ordering a large. I'm 5'3, average build and always have worn a medium. Very disappointed.

I'm petit - 5'1 and 110 pounds and the xs was far too snug. The zipper popped open when I would get in and out of my car.

This was about the 10th jacket I've tried over the past 2 Winters in an effort to find a new warm, water and windproof parka. I've been making due with an L.L. Bean jacket but it just couldn't hold up to Chicago winter - I always needed 2-3 extra layers with the jacket to stay warm. I've tried multiple styles from Columbia, Marmot, Patagonia, Eddie Bauer, even North Face...all with comfort and fit issues.
I found this jacket on sale at another store online, went ahead and purchased. First the pros:
- I'm a large in most all clothes (5'9", hourglass shape with broad shoulders) The large in this parka for perfect - full range of motion in all critical areas.
- Very warm! I was concerned b/c it's SO light, but I tested it wearing a tank top and thin Merino baselayer and walked at slow/moderate pace in 10 temps for about 30 minutes. I was very comfortable and I think of I wore my usual fleece layer I would have overheated.
-pockets are at good height, not too high or deep so that I can't reach what's in there.
- Hood is down insulated and deep. I'm able to comfortably zip the jacket all the way up to my chin and still have room.
For the cons:
- there's no adjustments at the waist (but there are drawcords at the bottom hem)
- the hood adjustments at just about impossible to use. At first I thought I was stupid enough to buy a jacket without an adjustable hood. Finally found them buried in tiny little pockets, had to feel along the brim/seam until I felt them. Then you have to dig them Houston (I had to use a paperclip to get the plastic bit out to a dually adjust them). I don't think I'll ever adjust them again once I 'set' them....they're too irritating to have to miss with again.
- Faux firm trim - it's a joke. It's a tiny little strip, there's no volume or 'fluff' to it - it's not going to do anything in a winter wind. I actually went to a North Face store to see if I got a defective jacket, but the ones in the store also had the same miniscule fur.
