This is my second pair of Salomon trail running shoes. Overall they are excellent shoes and I use them mainly for light hiking/ day hikes. They have a very good grip on smooth surfaces such as granite boulders etc. My experience with Salomon is that they tend to run big. While I would normally wear 7.5 in running shoes, in Salomon, I buy size 6.5 to have the same amount of toe space. The shoes felt a bit narrow when I first tried them on but I know that with time they will stretch out a bit and it won't be a problem.

Love these shoes. Very sturdy and comfortable - the heel has a little extra padding around your ankle and they don’t slide at all. The laces are cool and there’s a little pocket in the tongue to stash the excess. The bottom is rigid but perfect for OCR and trails. I did have to exchange these shoes for a smaller size. I normally go half a size up in trail shoes to ensure room for toes downhill , these did not need that, I got my normal size and there was still plenty of room for my toes.

This shoe fits me like a glove. Comfy to wear around the house and on the treadmill. Can’t wait to try them out on the trail this weekend!

I. Love. These. Shoes. I originally ordered the 8.5 as that's the size I wear in just about everything else, but they were too narrow and too small. I decided to switch them out for the size 9 and am so glad I did as they fit perfectly! I love the style, I love not having to tie my shoes and I love that my arches feel supported in these shoes. Would definitely recommend!

LOVE this shoe. I pretty much wear this for everything: biking, hiking, running around in. They are super comfy and the support is also great! A definite must have for sure.

Great support and cushion. I am not a runner but use these for everyday around the house and shopping for like big periods. Have a Disney trip coming up and was looking for something to replace the Brooks I usually wear.

I have been searching for a trail runner with good tread for a trip to the Himalayas. This must be the 8th or 9th pair I've tried and I'll be keeping these. I appreciate Zappos liberal return policy as I've returned all the others. This shoe has many features which are top notch. Very substantial tread, and stability. This shoe fits great BUT it feels like it squeezes the outside of my foot across from the arch. I have a narrow-ish foot, and I feel the squeeze in the width of the mid shoe. I'm wearing them and hoping they break in. If you have a wide food, I'd avoid these despite the fact that they are very well made.

It is hard for me to find a shoe which is both comfortable and fits well. This was my third try with Zappos shoes, but no problem. When a pair wasn't just right, I boxed it up and sent it back, and quickly received a refund. It is worth the effort, when compared to going to the mall, etc, and trying to find the right shoe, get it home, wear it for a few hours, then have to take it back. With this pair, the third time was a charm. I love the looks of the shoe, and Salomon is a great product.

These shoes fit me right out of the box. They run a bit narrower than other Salomon athletic shoes, and this is good for me. I've had many pairs; I hope Salomon continues to make this Speedcross modal. I like them in all black.

This is the best athletic shoe I have ever owned. snug, supporting in the arch and heel. so comfortable out of the box, no breaking in needed. light weight and very well made. love the ripstop body and the soles provide great traction. I’d been searching for a long time for just the right all black athletic shoe and I finally found it. well worth the wait and the money. don’t go cheap when it comes to your feet!! buy this shoe.

This is my second pair of Salomons. I wore these directly out of the box. I hiked on wet rock and didn’t slip or feel any of the sharp rocks. My feet felt great after. They needed no break in time. Love them!

Love them! Crazy comfortable, did a 6 mike hike the second day I wore them. Fantastic!

This is the first time I have purchased Salomon running shoes. I run many obstacle races and always wished I had more traction and support. I wore these shoes right after I purchased them in an obstacle race. They were great. Even though they are not broken in, I did not have any discomfort. They handled the terrain and water with ease. I have a big race coming up which will be the true test. Can't wait to really try them out! I agree with the color comments.You should be able to choose the colors and have the price be the same no matter what the color combo is and the colors should be available in your size.

Love these shoes. I wasn’t sure how they were going to fit because this was my first Salomon purchase and never tried these on in a store. The fit is great and felt lightweight on my feet. I’ll be buying another pair soon.

I love these! I got them for trail running but I've been alternating with another pair for normal/street running. They're super comfortable and I like the no laces. I normally wear a size 9 in running shoes but because of the others reviews saying they run a little big I got an 8.5. Glad I sized down because they fit perfectly.
