The fit and size were fine. I bought this shoe for the grip and that works great. I have no problems slipping. However, wearing this shoe for an entire day is painful. I do not tend to get sore in shoes and by the end of a day wearing these, my legs, back and feet are very sore. If you are looking for a shoe for grip, they are great to wear for a short period of time but I'd bring some back-ups if you are going to be in them all day.

I wear these shoes to officiate ball games. I stand on my feet all day at work then have to dread putting these on my sore feet. Won't be buying these again even though they are recommend for wide feet. I do have to admit I have terrible feet, bunions, corns, hammer toes, me feet are a mess. I could use a double transplant.

I've been using Salomon running shoes for over 6 years. I've worn out several pairs of Speedcorss shoes in that time. I purchased another pair to replace my old ones expecting the same shoe. However the arch on the new pair pinch into my foot. I figured it would change after wearing for a while but it hasn't. No good at all, probably for the bin.

Shoe is narrow and tight. The shoe moulding was bad at the arch. The mould is sharp and pressing into the skin. I have pain in the sole of my feet at the arch every time I wear this shoe. Will not recommend this shoe.

Update: I wanted to love these shoes. They felt great around the house but two miles into my first hike, my feet were killing me. The nubs on the bottom start to dig into my feet just behind my toes. The sole is too soft causing the traction to dig into your feet. So sad. Had high hopes. Cant wear and out money :(

I'm an avid runner, hiker, CrossFitter and also do longer distance rucking. I recently tested these out after wearing the S/Labs for 5+ years. Salomon discontinued the particular shoe I was using and I deliberated over which new pair to try out. The Speedcross 4 is one of the worst shoes I have ever tested. I used these on a 3 mile ruck yesterday and within the first mile, my feet were shredded and I had the largest blister I've ever had on my foot. I completed a 50 mile rucking event over the summer and my feet were in better shape after 20 hours of rucking than a single mile in these shoes. I had to take them off and complete the rest of my mileage in my socks. I've never had so much trouble with a shoes in my 10+ years of endurance activities. I will be returning these and I'm not sure I'd wear another Salomon shoe.

This review is after owning the shoes for five months. I loved these shoes when they arrived. They were the most comfortable shoes I have ever owned. I loved the traction. They were awesome for my trail running/hiking...for about TWO months. Then the nubs on the bottom started wearing away. By 4 months, my feet started hurting. Now at 5 months, I need to rehab my achilles because my foot is no longer in proper alignment when wearing these shoes and I can barely walk. They wear out way too fast for $130 shoes.

Extremely comfortable, didn't give any blisters transitioning to the new shoe. Wore for 5-8 hours a day and feet were still extremely happy. But the tread has already degraded significantly (first use was late July). The tread has worn down very noticeably across the sole, and some of the extruded peices are starting to detach. The sole that comes up around the edge of the toes is also starting to detach. Used for about 200 km within the first 3 weeks, in mixed trail terrain (mud, grass, snow, dry dirt/alpine, boulders).

I bought this about 8 months ago and finally used them for 1 day. These are definitely much more narrow than previous versions. I never had a problem in the previous versions but these really rub my outer foot. I thought that perhaps this one would need to be broken in. I've never had to break in Salomons before so this was a surprise. In addition to that, I think I may have received a defective one because the arch region of the left shoe, has a design flaw inside to where it feels as though I am walking with a twig glued inside to my arch. I was in more pain that day than I've ever been with any running shoes.

These have been my athletic shoes for the past 6 years. I get a new one every year. Love the color and that they are trail. Great support and stability. Unfortunately this year's models have a defect in the sole under the right arch that is uncomfortable for me. You can see a crease in the shoe from the outside. I've purchased 3 different pairs in different colors and they all have it. Hopefully next year's model will be corrected. Salomon I hope you read this and fix it or I will have to find a different brand.

Bought a pair in April. Wear them running agility with my dogs. They aren't getting wet, muddy, etc., run on some dirt and some turf. Sole is coming detached from body of shoe. At this price they should last longer. Have had this issue with Salomons I wear more often, but after lots of use, but expect much longer lasting quality from shoes I only wear on weekends and in very controlled conditions. Other than not lasting, I do love the shoe.

Solomon is a brand I love! I thought this shoe would prove to be the same awesomeness as their name. No...... the tread wore off immediately with normal wear. It was a wore down to nothingnon the bottom. Really disappointed! The shoe is not cheap to replace after Just 6months
