This shoe is considered to be a size 2e that's the size I was fitted and measured for but the shoes hurt the pinky toe.

NB is the only affordable brand that I found that carries a 5.5 WW in slip resistant. I have been wearing their shoes for years. The 626v2 fell apart with in 6 weeks. Customer service was great, gave me partial credit and sent a new pair. I have had them for about 5 months and I am still trying to "break" them in. Can only wear 3-4 hrs at a time. I have NEVER had to break in a pair of NB before. The new ones hurt my feet so badly but they are labeled the right size. First pair of 626v2 fit great right out of the box, just didn't last. Second pair I am thinking were mis-labeled/sized. Why do manufactures have to change a good thing? Bring back the original 626. Never had a problem size or construction. Lasted 6-9 months of every day wear. The new version, 6 weeks not very good construction.

I needed a good shoe for work and wear them 8 hrs a day. They just don;t have any give, and hurt so much I still cannot wear them all day. Cannot recommend them for people who want then for work

They were supposed to be for work. I love that they were all leather. I walked around my carpeted home a couple of days in them, but, nothing changed. The narrow fit in the toe box was just too painful

These are no shoes to keep on for a long work day. Very stiff even after a long day wearing them.

I have purchased New Balance shoes for many years and until this purchase have been pleased with the style and durability. This is the third pair of New Balance shoes I've bought recently trying to find a black walking shoe that fits properly. This shoe is very snug even in the extra wide size. Additionally, the shoe strings are too short to use all the holes. I use all of them in order to tighten the heel of the shoe enough so that the heel doesn't slip. I'm thinking now about returning this pair.

I'm a size 9 wide, but ordered 2x wide as the widths just don't fit the way they used to. Well the width was fine but not cut true to size. Size nine was a tad too short. Returned them but in order to get the next size i would have to place a new order & get credit for the returned ones. Just too much to think about. Haven't ordered the other size as yet.

I ordered this shoe in a "Wide" size, but my toes still felt squished by the very narrow toe region. The top of the shoe -- which is made of stiff leather -- also rubs uncomfortably against my toes when I walk. This is the first time I've encountered this problem with a "Wide" New Balance running shoe. The rest of the shoe is comfortable and fits well, but the toe constriction means I'll be returning them.

I was really unhappy with the shoe so I sent it back to new balance. They are gigantic in nature, and super hard (not bendable) with ZERO arch support. I was surprised about the arch support because new balance is known as a comfortable shoe but how can that be so if you feel like you are walking on two bricks. I gave the product two stars because they really are slip resistant you can hear and feel it from the bottoms.

Wore these to work and within two hours on my feet they started to feel uncomfortable. At the four hour mark the hurt settled in and by hour ten, my feet were screaming with pain. I thought New Balance was a good shoe as my husband wears them all the time but they were not wide enough for me and hard as a rock. Waste of money on my part, lesson learned.

The shoes are great slip resistant, but my feet hurt continuously still. I work 12 hour shifts in hospital and can't hardly walk after just 2 hours without taking shoes off for 5 minutes and massaging them.

I bought these because I remember them being extra roomy for my extra wide feet. These have made my bunions flare REALLY badly and I can barely walk by the end if the night even with arch supports.

Same size as my NB 928, but runs a lot smaller. Shoe is narrower and shorter. Decided not to try another size. Shoe seems sturdy.

I feel I am settling for an obsolete cash cow product. If 900 series is "better", upgrade into include a slip resistant sole. Not impressed that I have to buy a woman's shoe to get slip resistant in white.

Poor workmanship. Prior model was so much better. For example the N logo was embroidered. Now it looks like an sticker waiting to come off. Eeeww

I have wide feet and even the 2E wasn't wide enough. Plus they must run small. I had to return them.

This pair of 626 (now named) work shoe, was the crossover of 626 SL1 I had purchased quite some years ago. It doesn't match to the 626 SL1. They run smaller, and its a blessing I ordered extra wide because otherwise it would've been too tight on my left foot which is slightly wider than my right foot. Not the same fit or texture.
