Just didn't work for me. The width was fine. But it was very long in the toe. I usually ware a nine. The sole didn't feel that comfortable so I didn't bother to reorder in a 8 /12.

These are good shoes but they changed the style and my heel slips out. Seems the heel area isn't like the pair I bought 2 years ago

I have a love-hate relationship with the pair that I bought.
They are really comfortable, like most New Balance shoes.
However, when you wear them outside, so much sand and small rocks get literally stuck into the little slits that make the outsoles "slip resistant", its crazy! And you can bang your shoes together really hard, rinse the outsoles or even scrub them with a really stiff brush, they stil stay caked with sand and rocks. Nothing short of pushing a toothpick in the little slits will clean them out. And even after you gave cleaning their outsoles your best shot, they will still slowly track sand and rocks EVERYWHERE.
So, if you plan on wearing them outside AND inside (or if constantly having a little rocky sandcastle on your welcome mat makes the clean freak in you shudder), I would suggest you choose any model.

This shoe runs short and this barely fits but most important is the pack of cushioning. For those who wish cushioning steer clear

If you're looking for reliable non slip shoes these are 100% your go to... however they are a bit stiff/hard so I'd suggest inserts... I work 40hrs a week in a restaurant 10000 to 13000 steps a day... my feet just hurt all the time... but I haven't fallen since I got them that's good

I have terrible feet. I am constantly battling plantar fasciitis, and trying new shoes and inserts to help. These shoes are not very supportive for my arch, and caused me more pain during my shift than with my older shoes. The bottoms are also much more slippery than my previous non slip shoes. I find myself sliding and slipping where I wasn't before. I wouldn't recommend these if you are in the food and restaurant industry, and have high arches in your feet. I'm sure these are great shoes for normal feet. I just wish I could return these, but I've already worn them for one shift.

I have been wearing New Balance shoes for over 7 years now. They have been the best shoe I found for the hours I spend on my feet all day as a nurse; but this pair was really disappointing. After wearing these shoes one day, the back of my legs hurt, my hips hurt and the pain radiates up into my buttocks and lower back -at times I feel like the muscles are being pulled and feel tired. I don't know what the difference is -or what has happened to the comfort and quality of New Balance shoes; but this pair is just not made for walking or for work.

Pros- very comfortable. Great function.
Cons - do not look good. Especially on a petite / skinny frame like mine.
Will keep them for treks and long walks and get something better looking for everyday use.

I'm on my feet nine hours a day on concrete and my feet start hurting about halfway through the day. I've been trying to find shoes that I can wear all day and so far I haven't found anything.

I use the product at work. Very sturdy shoe, but my New Balance running shoes have more traction on the slippery floors at work than these do.

Great shoe, but runs small. Wish I'd followed other reviews when bought them, got 1 size above and still too small. Caused a lot of medical foot problems could have been avoided if I'd just ordered bigger. Hard to find a black, work, women's shoe in this world. Only one my foot doctor approves of, despite the problems I received from too small shoe. I usually wear an 8.5, these were 9.5, I'm now getting 10.5

The shoe itself fits well according to the sizing but I wish I got the wide shoe version instead and it would much more comfortable, I tried to break them in but they really hurt my pinky toes so they're just sitting in my closet.

Before ordering these, Customer Service confirmed the last (shoe form) is the same as for 624's. My 624's in Size 8.5 Wide fit amazingly well and handle my numerous hammer toes, widening and higher toe bed, and my need for ample insole cushioning. I could live in them 24x7. So I ordered the 626v2's in the same size but in all black, as the 624's don't come in black . But the 626v2's use more leather which is not as flexible. As soon as I put them on I could tell they feel too short in length, to narrow and shallow in height in the toe cap area. So I have to return them. I'm waiting to hear back from Customer Service if going a half size up in 9 Wide or ordering a pair of 577v1 in 9 Wide should work.
Note - I've compared the exterior sizing of both shoes and they are the same, but it's the inside that is smaller.

My plan was to use them for working shoes but the installs are so hard and they not as supportive as I thought they would be

I've been buying New Balance 608 shoes, size 6.5 D wide, for several years. I decided to try the 626v2 in the same size (6.5) but in EE wide. Surprise, surprise. The 626 EE wide was shorter and narrower than the 608 D wide. They hurt to wear. And the shoe laces are really short; I can barely tie them. What a disappointment. I'm returning them. Luckily, Zappos makes that easy.

I thought these were going to be tight and short on my feet, having tried them on sitting down. I finally got brave enough to wear them to work. I work at a convenient store as a cashier. I am on my feet for 8 to 10 hours plus a day. I am 64 and my feet hurt all the time. These are a little loose in the heel but they do not hurt my feet. I can work in them without discomfort. I like the Sauceny pair I got a year ago better for my feet but you were out of stock and I needed something now. My feet still hurt at home but not usually while I'm working.
I'd also recommend:

The shoes were way smaller then the size indicated. Don't blame Zappo's I blame the manufacturer.

I am using the shoes in the medical field, so the white, slip resistant shoes are a must, and they live up to that. However, for a commercial line of shoe, they provide no arch support. I had to add my own inserts for them to be wearable at all for any length of time.

This shoe felt a half size larger, maybe due to being wider than a normal B width. I replaced the insole with my orthotic and the shoe didn't feel deep enough to keep my heel from slipping. I also think the heel was wider than normal (wider all throughout). This shoe felt stiffer and heavier than what I'm used to (a discontinued New Balance shoe) so I'm returning them.

I have ordered both sneakers and work shoes from new balance before with no problem, but this time I ordered my usual size and they were so tight I could not get my foot into them. I really hate when a size 8 sneaker fits, but a size 8 work shoe feels like a size 6. if they run small they could at least tell you that before ordering.
