I held out as long as I could, but finally caved, and am glad I did. My dad wore these shoes as a staple of his work wardrobe for many years. I have the exact same feet and needed to shoes that would support my busy up-down work of being a teacher. These shoes work well: no slipping yet, the black color works for my work wardrobe, and most importantly, my feet feel supported.

This is the third pair of NB I have purchased! I love them and recommend them to all my friends!

New Balance has the BEST shoes for every job I have had.

I work in a kitchen for 8-9 hrs a day 5+ days a week and these shoes are an absolute god send. I have always had extreme pain in my feet. I finally bought a pair of New Balance on a recommendation from a gentleman that worked at a New Balance Store. His exact words were, "I can put you in a pair of shoes that feel like you're walking on clouds." Well, it's not quite cloud-like but my feet don't hurt as much. I walk about 3 miles a day on a very hard surface, as soon as I kick my shoes off it's like the day never happened. For someone with chronic foot pain, that is gold! I bought mine online, I kind of regret not going into the store to get fitted. Next time I I buy pair I will definitely go into the store to get fitted and have the experts tell me exactly what I need.

I work in a kitchen for 8+ hours a day, 5 days a week, and this is the second best pair of shoes I've ever worn for this job. I've unfortunately only had my current pair for about 4 months and already need a new pair, but I'm on my feet so much that it's not really unexpected. When I first got these, I could really tell the difference within a few days--my hips and lower back didn't hurt nearly as much at the end of a day, and there was a noticeable improvement in my then-injured knee just from having better support alone. I have no problems slipping, and these did not require any breaking in whatsoever. My only complaint would be that a bit more support in the heel would be great, and maybe if we could see more aesthetically pleasing options that offer the same support and durability. But if you work long hours on your feet on slippery surfaces, these are an excellent investment.

I work in a laboratory for 8+ hours per day, walking about 6 miles, and these shoes make that doable! I have worn other brands that are suppose to simulate "walking on air" and it was more like trudging through mud. I have bought the current version of these every time I need new shoes, I do not go anywhere else. They are true to size and I don't have to spend time breaking them in, they are fine right out of the box.

I've bought these shoes three times now. I wear them five nights a week for seven hours & they are very comfortable, supportive & breathable. They last about a year but are a bit worn by then. I swear by these shoes & highly recommend them to those who work on their feet. I am considering buying a pair for casual errands & walks as they are such good quality.

I work as a corrections officer and stand/walk a 12 he shift. My feet feel 1000% better since getting these shoes. Not very attractive, but they sure to the job!!!

Got these for work. I am on concrete floors, walking , squatting and climbing ladders. I have 3 pair of the minimus styles (which I LOVE) and found I had to order a half size larger ,and the D width in this style. The interior of the shoe offers real good support and good firm cushioning. I am pleased with these shoes.

I need black shoes for work and have a lot of foot problems. These shoes were so comfortable with first wearing. No pinching of my toes or sore feet. They are a winner in my book!!

Comfy and good to work for 8+ shift

I work on my feet all day and was starting to have pain in my feet and legs. I have had a lot of trouble finding a pair of shoes that are both supportive and do not pinch my toes. A pedorthist recommended these. I listened to the reviews and sized up and got wide for my toes even though I have narrow feet. I tie them up real tight and they are comfy all day, and no toe-pinching. I am very happy. I only took a star off because they are kind of ugly. But they're just for work so that's alright I guess.

I wear these shoes daily! Had to send first pair back because they were too narrow. I have problem feet and these shoes never fail! Gave 4 stars because I ordered on sale and I had to send back and when I reordered I was charged full price!

I love this shoe the orthopedic doctor recommended. It provides great support and keeps my ankles from turning inward. My only problem is the tongue is too long and bulky. Other New Balance shoes have the less bulky tongue but not the same support. I have about 20 pairs of New Balance shoes. I wish I could customize them just for my feet.

The shoe I used to use was suede but I was very happy to find this close replacement. It is leather and a little stiffer but the fit is the same. I really like that I can depend on New Balance to have the same fit from shoe to shoe. A 7 wide is always a 7 wide :) Makes it possible to buy online without hassle.

This is my second pair of this style that I wear to work 8 hrs a day on my feet. As soon as the blister on my pinky toe is better these shoes will be awesome

Very comfortable shoe. I love that it is non-slip so I can wear them in the winter.

Orthotics and these shoes equals pain free feet. Love them

I work a lot of 10-12 hour days as a mail handler for the United States Postal System. I have tried several shoes but these work shoes are by far the best l have purchased. They provide my feet with comfort and support. I feel like l'm walking on a very comfortable cushion. I'm wondering why l did not buy them sooner. I also wear New Balance walking shoes. My only issue with my work shoes is the price.

I've been wearing this particular shoe 3 nights a week since 2014 for serving, and this is my 4th pair. I would give them 5 stars if they felt as cushioning as my first couple of pairs. I'm 50 years old, and I've never ached once and attribute it to these shoes. I think they are better than any other work shoe for the money.

I found this product is an overall good fit with my custom orthotics, only downfall is blistering baby toes.
