This is my second pair of Danskos. I love these shoes because they help my posture and my back and they help to give me a firm step. This is nice in everyday, but it's also great when you're in a unfamiliar area and you want to appear confident! Having said this there is a few caveats. Although these are great for my back, they can be tough on my feet and even with the wide size I feel squished after a long day of walking because of the firm leather and narrow fit. The other problem is that these can be like a brick with your foot. Not only are they heavy, but if you're walking and walk on a crevice they you're foot will go one way and your leg another, potentially leading to disaster, and I do not recommend these on cobblestones! As for style these are not the most stylish shoes in the world, but it's one of those things I'm willing to sacrifice. Having said all that, I do love these shoes and will continue to buy them if only for my posture and back.

As a long-time Danskos wearer with wide feet and plantar fasciitis, I rely on Danskos for comfort and standing/walking endurance. I have the Professional in several different colors. After two weeks, this waterproof Pro XP version is equal in comfort; wearable right out of the box, no break-in required. As others have said, it feels marginally lighter than other Danskos and has great arch support. I would have given it five stars, except that the black, oiled finish is more easily scuffed than the black box finish of the Professional. (I have been unable to test its waterproof capacities. All versions seem pretty impervious to water. I wonder how it will hold up in the salted, snowy sidewalks in winter.) Once again, great Zappos service and I got a 30 discount out of the blue!

The navy oiled is a beautiful shoe. With dark brown woodgrain sole and a thin cord of dark brown around the top edges it looks really sharp. The navy is dark indigo. The shoe is very supportive and comfortable with a higher arch feel and a toe bar while still being softer walking impact than the regular Dansko professionals. They do feel wider though, and maybe a bit longer as well. I am a 6-1/2 medium and normally wear the 37 regular. These Pro XP's are bigger and my foot slides around a lot, plus you can see gaps between the sides of my feet and the shoes. I tried sizing down to a 36 and they were too tight and short. I will keep these because they look amazing and feel great when I am standing on my feet at work all day. Hopefully will get used to the sliding issue when I walk around, or maybe as one reviewer said the shoe will mold to my foot and not be an issue.

Incredibly comfortable, much more than the traditional black box Dansko I've been wearing for years. A higher arch and cushioning could potentially be a dream since I'm on my feet 12-14 hours a night as an RN. BUT...my usual size 38 is way too big in the XP. I'm returning for a smaller size because I really want these to fit! Order a size smaller for sure!

LOVE the improvements that XP brings to the table. But. My only issue with Dansko is that every single shoe fits differently bc they're hand made, even when they're the same size. I wear a 40, but this pair feels too big. And the right shoe feels much larger than the left. I have 5 other pair of Danskos in a size 40, and they all feel like they are smaller than this particular pair. It's difficult to order Danskos online because I really think you need to try on several diff shoes in the same size to find the right fit.

The sizing on this show is different from prior Dansko clogs I've purchased. I don't know whether this was a fluke, whether it's due to changes in the design, or it's specific for the ioled leather, which I did to have previously. But, the 37 wide, which I has always been my size (and I am still wearing the older worn out pair) was way too big. The 36 wide is a little snug, but better than the 37.

As with all Danskos these shoes are supper comfortable but they just don't last. The last few pairs of Dansko's I've had I've completely run the sole down in well under a year. I just keep hoping for more life out of shoes that are going to cost over $100. Also worth noting when I ordered the dize Dansko I have historically worn they were to big so I had to go down a size to find shoes that fit.

I think the sizing is incorrect. I used to wear Dansko size 42’s when I was a solid size 11. I am now a size 11.5 and have an impossible time finding shoes as 12’s are too loose and 11’s too tight. The 42’s here are listed as size 11.5-12 and yet they were too small for me.

I so wanted these to work! But alas, I had to return them. I tried the XP 2's in REI and loved them, but all they have is the shiny black version. I wanted the dull black leather. After reading reviews, I thought these would be close enough to the XP 2's but they just aren't. They really are more like the original danskos especially with the tight upper part which is a no-go for me as I have stress fractures in the tops of my feet. I guess I'm waiting until the XP 2's come out in a dull black leather. Until then...

I have been a long-time Dansko fan and have owned many pairs of the Professional. I was really looking forward to the Pro XP, but it was huge everywhere - my feet were swimming in them. I ordered my usual size; they were so big I thought I accidentally ordered a wide, but no. Sadly have to return.

Well, I had been super excited to finally try these shoes---I'm a bartender and need something waterproof that will support quick side-to-side movements and also standing/walking for long periods of time in wet/greasy/sticky conditions. Not enough ankle support for the side-to-side movements, I am afraid I will roll my ankle. I know there is a breaking-in period but I have really high arches in my feet, and though the support from underneath felt very sturdy and like it would be comfortable, the top of the shoe digs into my arch uncomfortably. It hurts to walk even short distances, so I have been afraid to wear them to work a 9 hour shift. I also am not used to a shoe with such a short back, it is much lower than it looks in the photo. My heel pops up with every step, and it isn't because the shoe is too large. I don't get it. If they made this exact shoe with the waterproof leather in a boot that went up higher past my ankle, I would be all about it. Anyone have any suggestions for an alternative? I have been trying to find the right shoe for years and I am about to just accept that my feet/back will have to always be in pain.

I have another pair of Danskos, very similar in style, that I like very much. I ordered these because they are waterproof. Although they are the same size as my other pair, they feel too big. I compared the two and this shoe has a larger opening, so my foot slops around in it too much. I am going to try a size smaller, but that may be too short on my foot.

I liked the way these look but they were a little small, very heavy and very clunky. I can't imagine them being comfortable for any length of time. Returned.

These were nice! The foot bed was soft and my toes have room and don't feel squished. They are too big, and i measured, so i am returning them and trying a size smaller. I'm hopeful they will work for me. I have a morton's neuroma and a hammer toe, so finding shoes is a challenge for me.

I really wanted to love these. I'm a nurse, so I was looking for a shoe that is sturdy, be easy to clean, reduce possible injury from needle sticks or chemical/biological spills, etc. I'm also on my feet all day. And I have hallux limitus, which I've been told means I have to look for shoes with a wide toe box, good arch support, and even a slight elevation in the heel. I read that this is what these Danskos offer. I ordered a 36 and 37, both wide. I normally fit a 6.5 or 7 shoe. I couldn't stand in the 37s for 5 seconds without feeling like a hard bar was running across the top of my foot. I have high arches, so maybe this is just a problem for me. So I tried on the 36s, and though they felt a little softer (being smaller I thought they'd be worse), they still hurt across the top. I imagine if I wore them all day it would feel sore and bruised for days! I read you need to take time to break Danskos in, but there's no way I think that stiffness will soften up enough. Also, the arch didn't feel supportive enough. Alas, I guess Danskos aren't for me.

I got these and a pair of the Sanita Professionals to compare. I am a barista, so I need something comfortable, slip-resistant and cute. I like the look of the Danskos more, however, the heel was really loose compared to the Sanitas AND the Sanitas felt a lot more comfortable on my feet (better arch support of cushy foot bed.

This is a good product but be careful. Because this work shoe is a solid product on the feet my right foot incurred a Taylor bunion. They are very spacious indeed but a hard material. The tailor bunion is small but never the less a bunion and as you know once you get a bunion it's there for life all that's left to do is protected it from further friction. The shoe looks great the off the heel motion is easily adjusted too the colour is great. I only gave 3 stars because I now have a bonionette. I just placed a cushion pad on that side of the shoe so it's alright.

I have been wearing the normal Dansko Professionals for 8 years. I have had many pairs and alway wear the same size. I thought I'd try the Pro XP for a change to see if it was more comfortable than my usual, but my feet were swimming in what should have been the correct size. I don't feel like messing around with trying other sizes. I'm going back to my usual purchase.

Thank goodness for Zappos awesome shipping policies. The unfortunate thing is that since Dansko and Sanita broke up, I am just not happy with any Dansko I order or try on in person. It just doesn't feel the same and I can't get myself to pay that much for a shoe that doesn't feel like the old Dansko I knew and loved. Oh well.

I wanted to love this clog. I am a 5.5 medium width and have a sensitive top of arch. I ordered the 6. The backs were flipping off my feet and the material covering the top of my feet-which are sensitive to pressure-was uncomfortable. I returned them.

After only7 months of wear the insoles started to shred. Not a deal breaker, but I wasn't thrilled. Now after only 14 months of wear, the soles have cracked all the way through at the ball of the shoe. My previous pair of Danskos purchased almost 10 years ago (still have them!) and they were worn harder than these....they are still kicking, with just a few loose staples. Disappointed in these new ones, definitely not the quality they used to be. Do not recommend anymore, sadly :(

They are okay. Not as strong as old Danskos. I can already feel them wearing down and it’s only been a couple months. Still better than regular shoes.

I had to stop wearing them. The right clog caused ugly calluses my toes and they developed an annoying squeaking. So disappointed. Expected better for what it costed me.

Do not like these at all and I wear nothing but Danskos. I am a nurse and on my feet all day. Thought these would be great with the padding. However, the padding is not from side to side. There is a quarter inch on no padding around the entire outer shoe. Threw the box away as I have never returned a pair of Danskos or this pair would be RETURNED!
