I so wanted this shoe to work. Clearly well made, good sole and good arch support. Super cute. Loved the stiching on the white canvas. However, like others have said, the canvas was too stiff. I'm not the type that can tolerate a shoe for several weeks to break it in. I wore them for an hour in my house and standing still they were fine. But when I walked, it would push down to the top of my foot above the bend in my foot/toes and it wasn't comfortable. Returned for this reason. Oh and for me the arch support was a bit too much. Maybe it would have settled down, but it was a very high arch.

Nice - wanted to like these. Super cute style. I usually wear 10.5 - 11. 11 was too big and too wide for me.

I reviewed these very positively right after buying them, but then I took them on a big trip and really can't recommend them anymore. They are very tight along my pinky toes and the coarse material really rubs in that area. I found out the hard way on the long flight to Norway-- really regretted wearing them once my feet swelled a bit. But it's not just swelling-- after a couple hours of walking or even driving in them, they really hurt right in that weird spot. It's possible that they were just a poor fit and I should have sized up or gotten a wider size, but I bought my normal size and I've never owned wide shoes in my life. I will say they were adorable and stylish, and they do have amazingly good arch support for cute little sneakers like these, so I would give them another chance if I could try them on in different sizes to see if that would solve the problem. Will check out other Taos sneakers.

Cute - loved both the gray and khaki colors. But I couldn't even get them on my feet (and I ordered my actual size). Definitely order up, and if you have a wide foot, just give up, because this "wide" wasn't wide at all.

Though I love the look of the shoe and it's comfortable arch-support wise, something about it makes my feet sweat. May be that the canvas fabric is extra heavy. I've never had this issue before. I'll keep them, but wish, with the expense, that I could say, "perfect." Also, I read the reviews and ordered a half size bigger. that worked great. Never wore an 8 before. ha ha..

I tried the Taos Plim Soul, Star and Star Burst and ended up getting the Teva Freewheel. I am a true 7.5 and all 4 pairs were sized .5 too small. The Taos had a stiffer insole but because of the height, I barely had room for my toes in the toebox and could feel it rub through socks.

Super cute but like most sneaks, stiff and uncomfortable. Returning.

I ordered a size up and they fit well, good arch support, comfortable... but at the larger sizes and widths, they are just unattractive. I don't need any help emphasizing my Hobbit-feet.

I purchased this in a 10.5 (1/2 size larger than I usually wear based on other reviews). I have a high instep and it was very difficult to get my feet into the shoes. The entire shoe felt stiff and uncomfortable. I ended up purchase a Keen Hush Knit CNX which is really comfortable!

Loved the look but not for me. Have ortho inserts to put into shoes.

Other reviewers were serious when they said these ran small. I am a 7 in most shoes so I ordered a 7.5 and my toes were bumping up against the toe box. I would definitely need an 8 in these. They are also an extremely stiff shoe out of the box that may or may not soften up with wear. The arch support is nice but the heel slips off my foot even with the laces tightened. I also feel like these give off a little kid vibe with the shape and laces. Returning and not purchasing in a size up.

Based on other reviews, I ordered a size up and they were too big. The insole did not work for me because the inner arch was built up very high and uncomfortable. The shoe will accommodate my orthotics so I can use those in place of the insole that came with the shoe.

These are very cute shoes. I really wished they fit! The shoe is short; not only in length but in the actual height between the soul and lace. I am sure they would be fine for a small foot, but not for a high arch. I returned my first pair and ordered up a size. Still too small. Returned both.

I bought these sneakers to wear barefoot. The canvas was too stiff to do that and the back of the shoe rubbed on my heel. Great style and color, but not for me.

Love Taos shoes and this style. Overall fit was good and generally the shoe was comfortable, but...there is no ball of foot cushioning and I could tell in just a few minutes walking around in my home (tile / wood floors) that the ball of my foot would be achy with a full day of wearing these. Sorry to send them back...

These are cute sneakers and I really appreciate that they come in 10.5 Wide, but the insole just had too many weird curves and pads in it. It was like wearing someone else's custom orthotics.

I really wanted to like these shoes - the colors and the style are so versatile but just did not work for me. I ordered a half size larger and a wide but they were just not comfortable.

The shoes are adorable. I was thrilled to find a sneaker for my wide foot that wasn't 'athletic' looking or 'orthopedic' looking. The wide was wide enough, but the toe box a little too soon. Subsequently the outer corner of my big toes got friction against the material. The width was okay at the wide part of my foot. And the length was true to size. But the tapering of the toe box didn't work for me.

These shoes were cute but so stiff with no padding in the sole. I usually wear an 8 B but tried these in an 8 wide as the reviews said they ran narrow. They were very difficult to get on and seemed to rub everywhere. They are cut very high on the foot so the shoed rubbed around my ankles. I also tried the 8 1/2 wide which were too long and not comfortable. Had to return.

Although like the look of these shoes, they run wide. Are not for narrow feet.

These are bordering on being too small despite ordering a half size up - but I love them so much that I’m crossing my fingers and hoping they stretch. They are stiffer than expected but have good arch support. Here’s hoping they break in some more -

Delivered with small dark smudge on tongue. Otherwise shoe is cute, however not enough lateral support for my feet- need a wider sole. Will return for another brand, trying Ecco.

They ran small and were cute, but very flimsy. They felt like a pair of KEDS. I work on my feet all day so they went back.

Cute shoe but had to return. A lot of arch support, almost too much for me.
