This sandal appears to be very well constructed and I liked the color, but although the arch felt really good and supportive, I found the sandal stiff and uncomfortable overall, and wasn't confident that they would have become more comfortable the longer I wore them. However, in the end, it was the excess length of dangling strap flapping around my ankle, with no where to tuck it away comfortably, that was my ultimate reason for returning them. I have to wonder, although I understand that everyone's foot is sized differently I can't image the purpose of all that floppy excess strap?

Excellent arch support but the rubber is stiff to the end of the toe so no give when one walks. Just aren't going to work for me.

Everything was great except that the front straps across the toes for .5-1" bigger than the older versions. They were way to loose on my front toes so i had to return.

These sandals are very cute-love the color and style. However, when i fir them to my feet the strap became very long and flopped everywhere. To trim the strap would be a nightmare so sadly these are going back.

This is the weirdest fitting sandal. Originally I ordered an 8 wide. I normally just get an 8 but was looking for a very comfortable sandal and read that these run narrow. The strap part of the sandal fit well and was comfortable but the foot bed was so big my daughter said they looked like Frankenstein shoes so I returned them for an 8. The foot bed of the 8 was good but the straps were so tight I couldn't get my foot in. Weird.

I wanted to love these, but the heel cup is a bit too aggressive for me and I felt like it would rub on both sides with prolonged wear. I ordered a 10w to accommodate a tailor's bunion, so I didn't expect the heel to be where the shoe was too narrow.

I wear Chacos about 99% of the time and own more than two dozen pairs. These were cute, but the strap that helps you tighten them /adjust was ridiculously long. I actually got out several other pairs just to make sure. In doing so, I also noticed the arch support isn't as aggressive as it once was.

I have problem feet and tender skin, so my needs are very particular, and my chances of finding comfortable shoes is very slim. Still, I keep trying, especially as my current shoe collection is wearing out and is no longer comfortable.
I saw in one of my health groups that Chacos were highly recommended for comfort by people with EDS, like me, so I ordered a variety of styles, sizes, and widths to try at home. This was one of them.
The adjustability of the sandal strap was intriguing to me and seemed promising for getting the fit just right. I was eager to try them on.
When they arrived, I noticed a strong scent that reminds me of chocolate. (Chaco /Chocolate? Is this on purpose?) I believe it comes from the rubbery soles. I am not a fan of scented products, as the chemicals aggravate my migraines and asthma. I did not react, thankfully but wanted to earn others why are sensitive to fragrances, like myself. If Chaco Doors not add a scent to their shoes, I am curious as to what I am smelling.
I put on each pair, adjusting straps just so and then tightening the buckle, then stepped around in my carpeted home to see how walking would feel. Unfortunately, none of the seven different pairs will work for me. I think they are great, for normal people, but soft-tissued feet like mine cannot tolerate these shoes.
I wear a wide shoe, and even the wide sizes of Chacos felt uncomfortable on the back, inner side, where the arch support slopes into a heel cup. Every step felt this edge digging unnaturally into my foot. I also cannot tolerate the small, stationary strap on the side, as I walk, because the edge of it does not move with my foot, so it rubs my skin there. I know from experience that the slightest anomaly in a shoe will wear a sore into my tender skin after a mere half a day of wearing.
I am very sad that not even the wide size won't work for me, but I could see how they would be otherwise reasonably comfortable sandals for regular folks. Every foot is different, so try them yourself if you aren't like me, but I am back to the drawing board with my quest for tolerable sandals.

I wanted to love Chacos, but have tried 3 styles and just don't. I had these straps as tight as they would go and the shoe was still too loose. Plus there is no way to secure the slack so the it is on the ground.

I'm not sure what has happened with the z/cloud. I have two other pairs that fit great. Ordered these to replace my black ones as they are worn out. I tried the wide and they were too wide. I ordered the medium and there is no extra strap??? I recently ordered the z/1 classic with the Smokey Bear design. They fit great!! I may have to go with the classic. I really wanted the zcloud. The foot bed is sooo nice.

Difficult to rate sizing and width. I was hoping this Chaco would work for me. My feet are a 7.5, wedge-shaped, pronating, and flattening in the arch. My old Vibram-sole Chacos in this style saw me through recovery from plantar issues. I was looking for that in this newer version but in 8M, too narrow in the toes so my forefeet were hanging out the sides. In the 7W, great toebox fit and overall nice footbed with relatively good support but the heel strap was also wide with no way to adjust it.

I loved the look and fit of this shoe. I have fairly flat feet and there was too much of an arch to be comfortable for me so I had to return them.

They looked cute, but when I tried them on, my foot fit in diagonally, it didn't fit in straight.
They also looked a bit too "clunky" for my taste.
The arch support was moderate.
I had to return them.

I was unable to make the straps tight enough for a secure fit. Also, the strap hangs down so far, even touching the ground. There should be a shorter strap or at least someplace to tuck it in so it doesn't drag.

I really, really wanted to be able to wear these. They’re cute and the insole is very soft and comfortable. Unfortunately they were not quite wide enough for my feet. I usually wear a 35 or 36 (5.5 or 6) wide shoe. The 5W Chacos fit the length perfectly, but the straps were just barely long enough. I had no extra strap left hanging and the buckle hit in an odd place. The real problem came after wearing them for a few days, all day, in my house. They made my right knee and leg SO very sore. I think the arch might have hit my right foot in the wrong place. I’m sadly returning them.

I ordered an 8M but was way too narrow, never wear a wide but ordered an 8W, felt like I had huge paddles on my feet way TOO wide. I then ordered an 9M but felt way too long, would of tripped easily with them. So I would like to order but don't know what other style or what I should do. I am wondering if Classic would be any wider in a M. I was told a heavier sandals thou.

Was unsure about these sandals so I returned them. The material used now for the straps seems flimsy. The softer footbed might be ok, but the arch support hit my foot behind the arch and was uncomfortable.
I like Chacos and have worn them for years. I usually get a solid 5 years from them with heavy outdoor use.

Ouch! Love the coral color and they fit length wise great, but no matter how I adjusted the straps they killed my left foot as the arch sit in the wrong spot. Sadly returning.

I would've liked the shoe but the top-most strap is not adjustable, and was too lose on me. It'd be better if it was designed such that all the straps could be tightened. Sending it back b/c of this.

I was hoping I would love these since the last pair I had bothered my toe with the toe strap but I just didn't love them. I felt like I needed a horizontal strap across the front rather than the diagonal to hold the sandal on. I have a wide foot so maybe it's just me.

What's up with your quality, Chaco? I've been a loyal Chaco wearer for years. They're simply the most comfortable shoes for my summer commute. However, I've already worn a hole through the sole of the left foot of pair I JUST bought in July! Usually a pair lasts me a year. Two months is unacceptable.Zappos however, deserves 5 stars as always.

I was so full of hope about these shoes! But the straps over the toe section are completely un-adjustable, and I could hardly fit my slightly swollen feet into them. Except for that, I would probably have fallen in love with them.

I don’t usually leave reviews, but I had to make the exception with these sandals. I purchased a pair for my wife, my son, and myself. I loved the look of these shoes and the fit. I especially loved how securely the fit my feet. That left me believing that these would be amazing for stability on several hikes that I had planned on Oahu, Hawaii. However, after only walking around downtown Waikiki for the first day I was left with blisters on my left foot in two places and three places on my right foot; same experience for my wife and son. Besides that, I had pain in my right arch after the day of moderate walking. I decided that I would go ahead and give them a second chance and strapped them to my feet for day two, making slight adjustments to straps hoping this would help. Halfway into day two, the same places where blisters had formed the previous day my feet were being rubbed raw. I couldn’t bare to continue walking around in these sandals; the pain was excruciating! I had to remove them and finish the day walking around barefoot. Even this was painful as I was walking on all types of surfaces: gravel, asphalt, grass with sticker burrs. This was still lest painful that walking around in these sandals. I felt sweet relief when I could walk in the wet sand. We had to break down and buy another pair of sandals just to be able to continue with planned activities for the next few days. Seeing that we wouldn’t be able to use them at all, I checked into the Zappos return policy. I was disappointed to learn that Zappos would only take return on unworn products since we have absolutely no use for sandals that torture our feet. I will definitely be contacting Zappos to see if an exception can be made based on our experience with these sandals.
