I'm very happy with this jacket. It is very comfortable in temps between 25 and 50. Haven't worn it in the rain yet but based on feel I'm sure it will do what I need it to do.

Great quality jacket that I personally wear everyday in the winter here in Western Ky. Super price and just as good as the other 150-200 dollar jackets from the other big name companies. Would reccomend to anyone

Not my first Columbia Ascender jacket. Wore out my previous one hiking in Norway. Style, fit, look, functionality--what's not to like about this jacket? A family member was so impressed that they purchased their own. One thing to be aware of for people with bigger arms: Sleeves on the tighter side limit your layering options. Not a problem with 1-2 layers, but may pose a problem with a 3rd.

I love this jacket, it's material feels great and durable. It's a comfortable jacket that can be used for multiple occasions. I bought two and love them.

My husband works at a Marina in Texas, it gets WINDY and it gets very WET. He LOVES this jacket, this is our 3rd purchase of the same jacket and he has only ever worn one of them! He loved the 1st one so much he bought one to have for "dressing up" which just means he wont ever wear it to work where it will get oil and stuff on it. And we just bought another one for him to leave at the marina in his office just in case he ever accidently forgets his. (He likes to be prepared). It is a great weight, it is NOT bulky at all do he can still crawl around under boats and get down inside them without being bunched up. The wind and water "proofness" are what he loves so much about this, it doesnt get THAT cold here on the coast so this jacket is perfect! Being a bigger guy it is hard for him to find stuff he actually loves that fits! When he is down on the ground under boats he doesnt have to worry about this being too short and exposing any of him, the sleeves are the perfect length, and in my opinion (his wife) this jacket is very slimming and LOOKS really nice on him!

I frequently find Columbia an excellent place to purchase items for travel. This jacket was purchased for Spring travel to Istanbul. This jacket seems enough protection against an occasional rain or brisk breeze I may encounter while out exploring the city. The color will go nicely with all of the other things I will be wearing from Columbia. One of the things I especially like about this particular jacket is the 4X sized jacket has some structure without looking like I'm wearing a gigantic bell. I appreciate that design. I plan to pair this jacket with several Columbia Flex ROC pants. Together they look great! I'm a happy Columbia customer once again.

Being a tall man is always a challenge to find a jacket that fits properly , this one did true to size . Honestly I liked the jacket so much I purchased a second one but a different . Great value and great product .. michael

I am a big woman, with broad shoulders and long arms. Women's styles typically do not work for me. This is a sleek, sharp-looking, soft shell jacket with all the features I love. Breast pocket with zipper, good deep pockets for gloves, velcro wrist straps to customize the wrist fit (wonderful!) I train dogs outdoors in just about any weather; wind-and-water-resistant was a huge selling point. So far so good; although in this frigid Wisconsin winter I am wearing it with a hoodie underneath for warmth. I got a big/tall, and was concerned it might be too long in the body so that it would look silly on me, but it hits just at the bottom of my butt; great, warm, useful length. I imagine on a tall man this would hit at mid-hip. I got the black jacket with the orange zippers, and it looks great (not an obnoxious orange at all!) My (tall) husband took one look at it, and now he wants one for himself.

Love these jackets, hold up good, great fit.

I've been searching for a while for the "just right" jacket. I wanted a jacket that I could wear in those frequently rainy, sometimes windy, and mostly chilly days of winter in Tennessee. In and out of the car and in and out of buildings (shops, grocery store, etc), versatility was needed. I needed something to keep me warm and dry in dreary conditions, but not too heavy for an average day. This jacket hits that sweet spot! No doubt keeps all but the heartiest wind gusts or rain deluges away. The jacket is well made and with great features. I love the Chest pocket for keeping my cell phone close. The velcro cuff closures are awesome for keeping wind from blowing up my arms. The collar can be turned up to keep the wind/water away from my neck. I intentionally went up a size in order to give me the ability to layer underneath it for those rare frigid days, but the jacket is amply sized already. Great all-around jacket! Highly recommend!

We are a Columbia family! I bought this for my husband to replace his old fleece jacket. He absolutely loves it! Its perfect for Tennessee weather keeps him warm, and there's enough room for him to layer with his Columbia hoodie under it if he needs some extra warmth!

I am 6'3, 250 lbs. I chose the XLT because the regular is too short for me. So glad I did! Perfect fit!

I love this jacket! It's exactly what I wanted. I live in Southern Utah so it doesn't get especially cold here like it would in, say, Minnesota. This jacket is very warm even in temperatures at night down into the 30s with just a t-shirt underneath. I couldn't be happier with this jacket. Also, as an XL person, I really like that this jacket comes in many XL sizes. I will definitely buy another Columbia jacket in the future when the time arises.

Being a tall guy this jacket works. If you are wearing a hoodie or just a short sleeve shirt. This jacket cuts the wind period. Columbia is the truth period

Bought this for fall weather in MN as I prefer not to have bulky outerwear for car travel. I run warm anyway so this softshell jacket is perfect for what I need. It really repels water extremely well and cuts the wind well enough into the mid-teens to keep me comfortable. Quality of the product (zippers, material, pocket size and depth) are excellent. Really pleased with this purchase!

Finally! It's taken this long to convince my husband to ditch his clunky canvas jacket, and come over to the "Smart Side" and go Columbia! He is as happy as a clam, but much drier and comfortable. Thank you Columbia for your attention to fit and detail, no one does it better!

I love these jackets! But the one I bought a couple of years ago had big inside pockets I could use for hats and gloves.

Love the feel, lightness, waterproofing and comfort. Exactly what I was looking for to address rainy spring days. I have a similar jacket with reflective inner liking for winter... Great products!
