I love this jacket! It is very comfortable and fits great. Seems to be very well made too. Probably in the top five of all of the jackets I've ever owned. I would definately recommend it.

Nice wind proof jacket. I got this to be in between my fleece and my bugaboo jacket for lite rain days or windy days. It fits the bill very nicely.

I wore this coat the other day and it was very windy. My friend was shaking it was so cold and I laughed since I didnt feel anything. Was warm and comfortable. I told her she needs to get one.

I was excited to discover that Columbia offers tall sizes and decided to give the Ascender Soft Shell Jacket a try. I am completely satisfied with the look, fit and comfort of the jacket - it is exactly what I was looking for.

I ordered the Ascender Softshell Jacket for a trip to rainy Charleston, SC. It was a great fit- I am 6' 2" and ordered the 2XLT. It was warm and I stayed perfectly dry in a steady South Carolina rain. Great quality and the chest pocket was perfect for my large Iphone 8. The zippered pockets worked well. I cant wait to wear on a trip to Ireland later this month.

I have trouble getting a good fitting tall jacket and the ascender is well sized. Lightweight but warm enough for most seasons. The outside zipped pocket is a must for me and that sealed the deal

Im 6'4 and the xll rall size fits good. Comfortable light weight jacket. Good for a cooler rainy day or windy cooler day.

Our company buys Columbia jackets for all of our employees, and this is a great jacket for all weather-all purpose. It protects against the weather while still looking professional and fits well. Most of the guys who picked this option loved it. Only one complained that the sleeve length seemed on the short side. Would defiantly purchase again.

This jacket fits great. It's soft on the inside, and the outside repels liquid very well. Wind doesn't blow through it, and I stay comfortably warm.

This is a really nice and versatile jacket. I have worn it on drizzling morning hikes and I have used it as the outer layer on cold nights out. This jacket is great. I like jackets with room to layer and this on has that.

This jacket is just the right weight for a cool day. I mostly appreciate the tall size option. The extra length in the torso and sleeve fits my husband just right.

Jacket fit and function is as advertised. It will be my light jacket of choice especially in the Spring and Fall.

Very well created jacket. My current conditions in the morning are briskly cold and warming throughout the day. Keeps the chill off your back and provides a good deal of warmth. Prevents any wind from getting inside. Front pockets have plenty of room for hands, even with gloves on. Collar is good size just below the ears when propped up. That's all the great stuff the Columbia does. Additionally in the wearing, if your going to layer, while there is ample room in the chest/back area, the arms can be a challenge to get your sleeves in. There are no interior pockets, would of liked at least one, two would of been better. The upper chest pocket is perfect for a cell phone but not much more than that. This is my second Ascender jacket, my other one being a Tall fit; covers great below the belt. I got this size to accommodate thicker long sleeves.

Husband is in love with his new jacket. He wears it to work mainly and loves the casual yet stylish look. Says it's very warm and is a perfect fit for him at a 3x.
