Bought for wife 2018 & has held up very well. She loves these & wears them often. If she ever needs another pair I will definitely buy this brand!

The toe guard was not enough to prevent my big toe from protruding through the mesh after a few months.

A little stiff and clunky to walk in due to stiff sole. Nice look for sporty/country hikes. Use a lot for dog walking. Laces don't keep the tongue of the shoe in place.

These are the only running shoes I've worn for years. I thought I'd try and switch to a pair of brooks a year ago and hated them so much in comparison. Based on other reviews and my own experience they are getting much harder to find so I just stocked up on 3 new pairs!

Where do I start? I absolutely LOVE and depend on these shoes.
I had knee surgery and wear orthotics, so I NEED good support. Once I tried these shoes, there was not looking back, I literally have bought too many to count, since these are the only walking/hiking shoes I can wear with NO pain whatsoever.
There used to be a lot of color choices and I think they are becoming more popular as I now struggle sometimes to find my size and there is only 1 color available. So I will stock up when they have a color I love available next.
I also love the lacing system, sooo convenient, and addictive as now I refuse to buy shoes with laces.
I love how supportive they are at the arch and at the heel. There is no wobbling. I have too skinny feet and too high arch feet so these compensate for that wonderfully..
This is by far the best and most comfortable running/walking/hiking shoe I have ever had, and I only use now. Wish I could use them with a nice dress too ;)

Where is the X-Mission 3??? Looking and looking for this favorite shoe I have been wearing for years -- have purchased many pairs. Please please do not discontinue without at least one more re-supply so I can order a dozen pairs for replacements.

I have been wearing the X-Mission 3W for years and now need a new pair, but have not been able to find it anywhere in my size, are these no longer being made? If not what other shoe would you recommend?

I got these shoes in the early days of the pandemic to use as trail runners. I haven't run in them, but I love them for hiking and they have completely replaced my Merrell hiking shoes as my hiking go-tos. I have put 280+ miles on them since April and they are still going strong and would look like new if they weren't so dusty. I'm in the military and have had two foot surgeries with near constant foot pain due to wearing steel toe boots, and these don't bother me at all, even in the longer hikes of 10-12 miles. I typically were an 8 in most things and sized up to 8.5 for comfort. They fit well with a small but of room for expansion over the course of the day, but don't slide around too much on the downhills. I will buy these again.

Love the Salomon line - I have three pairs of X-Mission 3 (indoor to work from home while standing and two outdoor.) They're a great fit for my low arched foot. The cushioning is just right - you don't feel as if you're walking on marshmallows. I use them to walk; my running days are over since a knee injury. I also use them to cross-train.

I bought these to walk the Camino Santiago as I wanted a light breathable pair of shoes. They were perfect. Unlike many other shoes the sole is very flexible when you push off on your toes the shoe bends. A lot of other shoes I find are hard and feels like I'm wearing a clog. They are very light and gave my feet plenty of cushioning for the 500 miles walk. My only negatives are they don't last very long and the quick laces were too short which made it hard to get my feet in. I went through 2 pairs for training and the Camino itself. Sadly both pairs are worn out and no replacements my size available. I will order another 2 pair when they are available again.

I had trouble finding the Salomon X-Mission 3 in my size and at a decent price in the stores. However, I found both with Zappos. The shoe fits exactly true to size. I have an older pair and was in search for a new pair for the past year. I walk a lot and go through a lot of sneakers and I have enjoyed this shoes on local hikes.

I've been a Salomon shoe buyer/trail runner for 13 years. When the XR Mission was introduced I purchased them and found all my running ailments disappeared. They were perfect, 10 mm drop, heel and toe cushioning for the heel and mid strike of a true fast trail runner. Plenty of airflow for longer hot footed runs, a wider toe box and higher arch for those of us who have a REALLY hard time finding a shoe that balances both. I ran through 8 pairs of these awesome shoes...then I purchased the X Mission 3, since I could no longer find the XR Mission 1. To my feet's surprise these shoes were not the same, my back, knees and hips began to ache... I thought it was my gait, my age, too many miles, not enough recovery time, but I never thought it might be the shoe. Well... I mistakenly put on my last worn out pair of XR Mission 1 and magically after my run, my body didn't yell at me! I decided to experiment, I wore only those shoes for the next month of runs. I found, no hip/knee pain, no "hot feet", no agonizing lower back pain... hmmmm. For the next month I used my newer X Mission 3's... UHG! I had to go back to the XR's. I'm now on a search for a new shoe. Tried the Speedcross and the Speedcross in wide, they're to stiff/narrow in the toe box, and the wide is too wide in the heel and arch. Please bring back the XR Mission 1 construction... whatever was changed in the X Mission 3 makes my body sad!
Thanks... A long time Salomon trail shoe, hiking boot and ski boot lover!!!!

I really like how these look and love the lacing system. They have pretty good support on their own, but I always need to add more. I have to have shoes that are narrow in the heel, but a little wider in the toes. These are just a little too narrow in the toe area.

I bought my 1st 4 pairs in 2014 - they had a tapered toes. Now the toe is rounded. I wish there was not this large change. Maybe a new manufacturer. I absolutely loved (and still love) my old 2014 version. Why change a great thing?

The soles came un-glued after 3 months! Manufacturing default. I would like my money back or a new pair. Zappos - please contact Salomon. Could have tripped and hurt myself. Are these Salomon's or knock off's? Have had another pair for 3 years and this didn't happen.

I've been searching for a new athletic shoe with a wider foot bed to accommodate my bunion. In additon, the Nike shoes that I've been wearing for the past coupld of years were squishing my toes together extreme pain after an hour or two of wear. The Salomon X-Mission 3 are just what I needed. Very comfortable, the wider foot-bed is perfect for my foot. No pain whatsoever. I wear size 6.5 in street shoes but purchased 7.5 in this shoe to accommodate athletic socks. The fit is perfect.
