Dear Asics Design Team: ditch the sparkles!! I don't know who at your company thought it was a good idea to put glitter on women's athletic shoes, but they were sorely mistaken. I bought these and the Asics GT 2000 to see which I liked better. These were the more expensive of the two, and they undoubtedly had more bounce to them which I loved. Unfortunately there is a fatal aesthetic flaw--the stripes on the side of the shoe have glitter on them. Yes, GLITTER, which is not apparent in the picture! I tried to convince myself it wasn't that noticeable, but I just couldn't stomach the idea of actually wearing these. I definitely have a girly side and am by no means a tomboy, but glitter on my running shoes is too much. Sadly returning these super comfy shoes and keeping the GT 2000, which will suffice.

I always buy Asics Gel-Nimbus in a 9.5 to ensure enough room in the toe box, I have at least 3 other pairs. These run very small, there is no room in the toe box. I wish I had spent a few minutes in them before I went for a run, I would have sent them back. I would order a 10 if I redid it.

I ordered these in a wide to compare them to the same size of the Nimbus 18 regular since I heard so much about how the toe box was narrow. Believe it or not, the blue Nimbus 18 regular had more room in the toe box then this one in wide!! So I ended up sending these back and keeping the regular. Definitely order size up.

Beautiful sneaker!! toebox is tight like others have said so got a wide and ordered one size up. Cushion around ankle is a bit higher then others I have worn. Mainly got for positive reviews for people with plantar fasciitis. Will report back after I have worn them a few times!

I switched to this model after the latest Gel-Kayama seemed too narrow - not sure why they changed! I have a wide food due to foot surgeries. But this one is better so far - just started wearing this week.

Amazing shoes! The gel cushioning in forefoot and rear feel like walking on a cloud! Need to buy 1/2 size bigger and D width to get comfort though. Produce in more colors for wide width.

The shoe is nice looking, but the fit is much more narrow than marked.

So much foam padding that they feel a half size too short on the inside while clunky on the outside. This may get better with wear, but I opted for another style. Returning these. Sad, since I like the style and coloring and the overall feel.

A foot surgeon referred me to the owner of a local running shoe store trained and skilled in finding shoes for problem feet. After trying several brands, we guessed that the ASICS Gel Nimbus 18 would be the shoe for me and it was ordered in my size, but did not arrive for many weeks. In the meantime, it returned to stock at Zappos. The shoe is fabulously comfortable, but I still had to cut a slit over my bunion--in spite of getting the wide size. Otherwise, it's a very good shoe for me to walk in. I have custom orthotics, but I don't need them in this shoe.

Great shoe! Extremely comfortable! Way better than I was expecting. I had tried on a pair of Asics in DSW a long time ago and was disappointed. They were not comfortable. But I really liked the look of the teal and gray ones and tons of people at my work wear Asics so I thought I'd give them a try again. I'm so happy I did! They feel fantastic. Lots of cushion. A lightweight shoe great for long days on hard concrete floors. I would definitely buy another pair. I love this shoe.

Normally I can wear these shoes for a run right out of the box but there's something different with the 18s. The heel cup felt tight and my toes were a little pinched. Now that they're a little more broken in they're more comfortable but I miss the fit of the older models.

This is my second Gel Nimbus purchase, the first being the Gel Nimbus 15. Sadly, I have to return these as they are way too tight. I ordered my regular size and width, but my toes were numb after 30 minutes. The style is great and they look really sharp in the all black. I was not as impressed with the cushioning as I was with my 15s, but they were still comfortable in that sense. I do have to say that this is my first purchase with Zappos and I am extremely impressed! I received my shoes within 48 hours of placing my order and getting the box ready to return could not have been easier. Thank you, Zappos - I will be back for more purchases!

Like all the previous reviews said, they run a half size too small. Other than that, they were so comfortable, I felt like I was walking on air!

I haven't digressed out of the 15s because all the reviews of the 16s and 17s were so horrible. I received these from my kids for Mothers Day and I have no issues running in them. No rubbing. Sizing seemed fine. If I break my PR in my race next weekend, I'll give these babies 5.

Very comfortable! I previously had a pair of Asics and found that I needed a half size longer with this pair than the previous pair. They provide excellent support! Very attractive too!

Well cushioned and comfortable. A tad tighter in the toe box than I would like, and a tad wider in the heel. But overall, good walking shoes.

Very narrow toe box! I've always run in size 10 Asics 2100 or 2000 series until this year. Thought I'd try the Nimbus for extra cushion. Had to go up to 10.5 and my toes are still hitting on runs. Would rather have an old 2000 2 model!! Generally run 35-50 miles/week. My shoes wear out on the outer heel.

The shoe is beautiful but too tight for my feet which I don't think need a wide size.

I ordered these sneakers on April 21 and received on 22nd. Great Zappos service. I bought half a size up (5½ I am usually a 5 in sneakers) and my medium width. The shoes were very tight in toe box, especially the portion from top of little toe downward towards mid foot. I rubbed my fingers along the inside area stretching fabric, and also re-laced shoes. I loosened all laces to open up/widen out the area on top of toe box. These procedures helped to give more width for my sore spot. I also ended up adding a pair of heel gel pads to each shoe to prevent foot from slipping forward too much, and this helped. I decided not to buy a wide width or else my foot will slip around too much. In regular shoes I take either a size 4 or a size 4½ medium, so small feet. I have left heel spur that Asic Gel Nimbus sneakers have cured the pain. I broke the right foot and Asic Gel Nimbus shoes provide excellent support for. Noticed shoes from China fit better and more true to size, than shoes from Indonesia or other countries. I've been walking around on carpeted floors for sometime now, and while these shoes are comfortable, they are not really comfortabe due to tight toe box on sides of feet. My feet feel encased maybe due to too much padding?? I've had to apply a Band-Aid to side of foot. I am not sure if I will keep these shoes. I need more time to evaluate.

Have worn this shoe for 4 generations. Now having to order a half size up. Unsure why they are now smaller than before. My foot is also on the narrower size but I still feel a little squished in the toe box. Will see if the extra half size up helps!

Size 13 were too short so we returned these shoes.

Honestly, the shoes were OK. ASICS has gone a little down hill and their colors aren’t super attractive but overall they were moderately comfortable. Did not help my plantar fasciitis at all and I tossed them within 5 months because they SQUEAK. I work in a hospital and there’s nothing like waking up a sick, sleeping patient with loud shoes. I wore them outside in hopes of lessening the new squeak but no dice. Since then, I’ve noticed my insoles add a small squeak to my shoes but I’m fairly certain the squeak was all shoe.

Like other styles of Asics sneakers the back of the heel develops a hole. This style did this within 4 months; this is not acceptable.
