This is the third pair of Asics I've returned in the last month. For years, I've worn a 12N in this brand. I'm not a runner so I'm not addicted to a particular model; just any attractive Asics shoe in 12N would do perfectly for me. Well, that's no longer true! Every single pair is TOO SHORT. I've tried 3 different models and gone up to 13N. Nothing fits. So I did some research on other sites and found many comments which concurred. Someone discovered that fit depended on which Asian country the shoe was manufactured in. She did this by going to her local athletic shoe store and having the manager pull several boxes of the identical shoe. In this way she was able to find one that fit. Since I can't ask Zappos to do this (wonderful as they are!), I'm going to have to find another brand. I'm open to any suggestions!

I have worn Asics for years. I have worn them as a runner, and I have worn them as a casual shoe. Something has happened to the design of every shoe style of Asics. I purchased my usual Nimbus in my usual size, and they were too small in the footbed. I purchased one size larger (thank goodness for Zappos returns!), and even though they fit, they cause my toes to cramp after only wearing them for 15 minutes. I have tried to wear them for a couple of days to break them in, but they are still causing my feet to cramp. I have even tried the Kayano, and they also cramp my toes. Asics - if you see this, please go back to the design of 3 years ago. In the meantime, I am switching brands. Thank you Zappos for being patient with me.

I have been wearing ASICS for 15+ years. This is the first pair in which I am totally disappointed. The tongue on the right shoe is sewn on an angle. I did not notice this until I'd worn the shoes 2 or three times to the gym and to run. The tongue kept sliding way to the right. I contacted ASICS directly yo ask about a replacement pair and they directed me to their web site where I could purchase a new $150 pair.

Fell apart immediately. Extremely disappointing for the price. Seeking a refund if possible. I've had other sneakers that last me for years, these frayed on the inner edge of the foot opening within 3 wears. Now they look like my old ratty sneakers instead of nice new ones. Pretty but useless if they look so ratty.

I have been wearing the Nimbus 17 for over a year now, Loved them! Tried these and they are much different. The toe box is much wider and the shoe is shorter. Have to return them.

I am so disappointed with the Nimbus this time. I've been a long time supporter of this shoe and it doesn't even feel like the same style now. It doesn't fit my foot and pinches even with going to a larger size. It makes me upset and I wasted $150 on shoes I can't wear comfortably. I need to look for new brand and/or style.

ASICS seems to be making the toe boxes in their shoes narrower, so I ordered a wide. While this left me room up front, my heel ended up rubbing up and down as I moved. These shoes fit high in the back, and have a hard plastic price that ended up rubbing the back of my heel to the point that the shoe was bloody mess and I was in a lot of pain) after a five mile walk. Very disappointed in this shoe and in the most recent upgrades. This loyal ASICS wearer is looking for alternative brands.

These shoes are like running with flippers! They are awful! The sole is way too stiff. The heel slides up and down with every step. These are, by far, the worst running shoes that I have ever tried, and I have averaged 30-40 miles a week for the last seven years. Do not buy them!

These looked great but didn't last. After wearing Brooks for the past couple of years, my husband got a pair of Asics and loved them so much I thought I'd give them another try. So I bought the more expensive ones hoping they'd last. Within a month, the tread was gone. I do walk 3-5 miles a day, but they should last longer than a month. Back to buying Brooks.
