I have worn the Aspics Gel Nimbus for years. When one pair wears out, I get the next model. I have tried other brands of running shoes, as well as other models of the Aspics brand, but haven't found any that I like as well as these. They come in so many colors that I can always find a pair that I like.

I'm overweight and found these too smooshy -- my foot sank down more than I wanted it to each time I took a step. (But if you're a skinny little thing, these could be great for you!) I found the Asics Cumulus to provide a better degree of cushioning for my frame. I'm disappointed they didn't work out for me, since they look pretty good as women's sneakers go -- no pink!

I ordered 7.5 but somehow I ended up with wide. Anyway, it pinches on the arch -- perhaps because it's wide. I am not loving the fit at all. I wore Nimbus since 9. I love Nimbus 16 so I may have to look for that.

I am typically an 8 1/2, but know to order up a half size with Asics. The toe box is very slanted -hits the toe next to my pinky toe (my feet are normal, nothing unusual in slope of toes). Also, the rear support at Achilles comes up much too high for me -got a severe blister by second day of 4 mile run. Style is wonderful, cushioning/arch support is great, but the tight toe box and high back might kill this shoe for me.

I have narrow, size 10 feet with Plantar Fasciitis. Now that's a hard shoe to find! It's hands down this shoe! The most comfort I have experienced in a very long time.

I have a pair of nimbus 17 that I love. I bought these because the pattern was so much fun. The 18 isn't as nice as a the 17. The overall padding doesn't feel as cloud like at first as in the previous integration but once you wear them for a while it conforms to your foot. The carbon/black/cockatoo pattern is so awesome. The shoe works well running or walking. It is true to size. My major negative is that the toe bed at the front of the shoe, has such a low ceiling that it rubs my big toe.

My wife is a neutral runner with a medium arch & STARTED having some pain in her foot, especially in the Plantar Fascia. She was running with Saucony Ride 8. The Saucony's maybe had a 100 miles on them total when her feet started bothering her. I purchased her a pair of the Gel-Nimbus 18 because of it's high toe to heel offset & she loved it. She loved the turquoise color base & greet laces. She loved the cushion in them. The arch support was perfect for her. She started running with these and has not had any more pain in her foot. She has been running on these for the last couple weeks, put on about 50 miles total. She will probably stick with this shoe for quite some time to come.

Dear Asics Design Team: ditch the sparkles!! I don't know who at your company thought it was a good idea to put glitter on women's athletic shoes, but they were sorely mistaken. I bought these and the Asics GT 2000 to see which I liked better. These were the more expensive of the two, and they undoubtedly had more bounce to them which I loved. Unfortunately there is a fatal aesthetic flaw--the stripes on the side of the shoe have glitter on them. Yes, GLITTER, which is not apparent in the picture! I tried to convince myself it wasn't that noticeable, but I just couldn't stomach the idea of actually wearing these. I definitely have a girly side and am by no means a tomboy, but glitter on my running shoes is too much. Sadly returning these super comfy shoes and keeping the GT 2000, which will suffice.

If you are hard to fit---size 12--narrow--Try to find someplace help to give you a true fit and width.. Believe me, I've looked. Because my granddaughter-15--6ft. tall gets her shows here that's why I tried.. Won't bother going any place else. .

The sole bends entirely at any point in the last of the shoe. This means it is a very cushy shoe with no, and I do mean no, support; not just arch support, but support throughout the soles. Some people may like this, but I find the shoe feels terrific for about five minutes and then leaves my feet aching from the lack of support. It fits as described (so long as you know to order a full size larger than you wear in regular street shoes) and I appreciate that Asics makes shoes in narrow widths. Been a loyal customer of Asics for decades.

Bright color is fun. Very comfortable.

LOVE LOVE LOVE these shoes. I bought them for work, I will never buy another kind again. A little pricey but believe me well worth it

I needed a wide shoe with a good base due to bunions and ankle issues. I wear a 9 wide in an athletic shoe and these fit perfectly. This shoe hit the mark dead on. I returned three other pairs which were different styles and brands, trying to save some money, and as always, came back to Asics. This particular style was the most expensive, but is the best for me. It has a wide front base and no stitching that runs across the sides where my bunions are. No stitching there is a real plus for people with bunions. I wore a whole through my last pair right where my bunion is on my right foot. Also, the other styles and brands I ordered in a wide were too wide all over and my heel slipped out. This shoe is wide in the front and holds my heel in the back nicely. It gives a lot of support and I absolutely would order them agiain. I just wish they weren't so expensive at $150.

So these shoes were fabulously comfy out of the box. I have plantar fascitis and decided to splurge on super comfy shoes to try to mend my feet. However, after about 2 months of owning these they've started to fall apart. The fabric behind the top of my heel has disintegrated and now there's a big hole and the fluffy behind the fabric is constantly balling up and coming off. A patch along the top edge by the laces has worn away. The fabric right above my big toe has worn away and there is now a hole. I bought these in March and it is now September. I feel as if $150 shoes should last a lot longer than that. I bought a pair of Gel-Cumulus ($89?) in May of 2015 and I replaced them in March when I bought there and they were much better condition than my new ones are. Very disappointed. If you splurge on expensive shoes you expect quality and some longevity.

I have been wearing the Nimbus 17 for over a year now, Loved them! Tried these and they are much different. The toe box is much wider and the shoe is shorter. Have to return them.

I have worn asics gel nimbus/gel cumulus for many years. Last time I ordered them they were to narrow. Thought I would give them a try again. Once again they are to narrow. Have gone back to new balance. Why did you mess with a good thing asics?

I ordered both this Gel-Nimbus 18 and the Gel-Kayano 22 at the same time. When they arrived, I had on an older pair of ASICS in my normal size, which I have always worn, but both these shoes were definitely shorter, with the Gel-Nimbus 18 being the shorter of the two. I called Zappos customer service for advice, as I always wear the same size so was not sure if I should go 1/2 size up, or a full size up. I ended up with the Gel-Kayano 22 a 1/2 size up, and this Gel-Nimbus 18 a full size up and now both fit PERFECTLY!

I find this particular brand and style fit my orthodics the best. I have been wearing the gel-nimbus for several years.

Confused. I have worn this shoe for more years than I can count. This is the first year that they don't fit. I think it may be related to the new shape of the toe. For me, there was no extra room for my big toe--basically none. I always purchase one size larger than my dress shoes which leaves plenty of room for my toes. Not for this year. My toe hits the front of the shoe. Considered ordering a half size larger--but I think the heel would be too large. (I normally wear a 6.5 and order a 7.5 in a sneaker.) Ordering a size 8 is counterintuitive to me. Makes me sad--as this has been my go to sneaker for many, many years. Not sure what brand I'm going to try. Overall rating 2 stars because of the length being short. However, plenty of cushion and the colors are great.

These shoes fit the same as the size 10. i do not believe that they are wide width, especially the left shoe which more narrowly on my foot than the size 10 wide did.

Great shoe, I want a different color

Hello ASICS - you're my fave now! I've tried so many shoes since my old go-to shoes wore out and were no longer made properly. I have been trying different shoes for over a year now only to be disappointed. I have a couple of foot issues, and I was having trouble finding a shoe that addressed them all. Some were too hard, some too soft, some too much arch, some not enough, or some without any support of the foot or too much squishiness in the soles causing my ankles & feet to go everywhere. But - like Goldilocks, I have found this shoe is JUST RIGHT. It supports my foot without being too hard. It doesn't have a super high arch that hurts. I have a normal arch & one that is a lower arch so I had to find shoes that work for both feet. I had plantar fasciitis in one foot & stress fracture in the other. With all these issues (not to mention I have Sciatica and have to wear a properly cushioned shoe) this shoe is great. And as if I didn't have enough problems - sizing always seems to be a problem with some companies. Well ASICS is the BEST! Half sizes, extended sizes. And the icing on the cake - the colors are gorgeous. Even my husband commented on how pretty they look (since he's seen some of my past awful color choices in my size). These are true to size and true to width. I didn't need to size up as I used to do in brooks. Bravo ASICS! I will be buying another pair today.
