They are clearly maked 4E but don't feel they are even 2E. They look great & I'm disappointed they wont work

Nice looking boot, but I received it and even though I ordered extra wide, it was still too narrow.

I received an email giving me the opportunity to submit a review after returning this pair. I cannot tell how this pair would hold up but from having successive iterations of this model from NB and seeing the shorter life and lesser build quality of those iterations I suspect this one to follow that trend. I suggest buying MW978 which somehow has been reintroduced and had much better build quality and durability than either of the 2 later iterations. Sadly, if you need a narrow size the selection is slim and the quality is declining so you might purchase hoping it will be better than the next.

I have been wearing NB shoes and boots for 25 years. My favorite hiking boots are NB but unfortunately, they no longer make them. I purchased these to supplement my other boots but unfortunately, these are very wide. I wear a B width. I even checked the size to be sure that they had sent me the correct size. The quality of the boots also looked to be sub standard. I will be returning them.

I've ordered New Balance footwear in a 13B for years. I ordered these boots in a 13B and the width was fine but otherwise the boot was uncomfortable and felt almost a full size to small. I've returned them and look to another brand for a hiking boot.

This is a good looking, sturdy shoe. Too bad it runs small and narrow. Despite ordering EE width, I felt my toes pinched on the sides while they butted up against the toe box. Returned.

Wore out quick, looked super dorky. Had to put insoles in them out of the box.

Disappointing. Excessive arch support and dole design forces a wide foot to the outside of shoe defeating the purpose of wide shoes. Very heavy, bulky, and stiff. Width seems accurate (but see observation above). Not comfortable.

They felt really good at first, but in the end did more damage to my feet. That has taken a month to recover. I would like to return them but believe I have worn them too much because they were just such a good idea. The characteristic difference between these and other New Balance shoes is that these were make in Vietnam. New Balance shoes made in the US were the best. Those from China need to be a half size larger and a full width wider. Vietnamese shoes are even smaller. This is not an indictment of China or Vietnam, but of New Balance.

New Balance: MW1400v1 SKU# 8603939 I received these 15 Feb 2017 (6 months ago) I walk my dog 2 miles each morning 6 days a week. The walk is mostly on asphalt with play time in a grassed (with dew early) field. I estimate I have 312 miles on them. The bottom black sole is wearing thru to the red on each of the heels. The NB 754 walking shoe the MW1400 replaced are showing some wear on the soles but they are over 4 (perhaps more) years old. I would not purchase the MW1400v1 if you are going to be walking on asphalt surfaces. Having to replace a $150.00 shoe/boot in 6 months is not enjoyable.I would give it 1 Star but they may last and wear well if one only walked on dirt trails. It would be nice if they came in a 12.5 size.

shipped speedily, just WAY TOO SMALL i wear a size 14 in most boots and i couldnt get my foot into these, felt more like a size 12

The right boot was tight on the top of my foot just behind the toes, I walked around the house about an hour and they were still very uncomfortable. I am returning
