These shoes are amazing. I needed a pair of shoes with a good tread. I have terrible back problems and I have to be very careful with what shoes I wear. These have not caused me any trouble. The heel is perfect and the shoes are so comfortable! You will not regret buying these. I have them in red and brown and I'm saving up to get them in black and teal. Seriously, they are that awesome.

First let me comment on the color - I ordered the GRAY. I wanted a brown but the two browns weren't what I wanted. The gray in the picture didn't look gray at all so I took a chance. It's definately not gray - but rather a wonderful black/brown. It will go well with either color. As for fit - I am a true 8 ½ N. The 39 fits perfectly after I pulled up the laces. I also liked the option of adding my own inner sole under the removable one but didn't need to after tightening the laces. Awesome style and very comfortable even though I haven't worn them for any length of time. I'd love the red also!

So beautiful yet so small. It kills me that this boot is narrow in the toe box. I don't have wide feet and I got a size up from my usual size (which is their largest option). They have great tread, are the right length and are just lovely. I may try to stretch them instead of returning. The teal is not really teal, but a really pretty blue that would go with lots of colors.

These are the most comfortable and cool boots! They are true to size and I love them. Would definitely buy again!

Absolutely the most incredible pair of boots I've ever put on my feet! They are very high quality and comfortable. No doubt I will be purchasing at least one more pair in the next month or so. I got the dark blue and they are gorgeous. You can't go wrong.

Love the color, the fit and the style. The footbed is very comfortable. Taos is an amazing brand anyway so it doesn't surprise me that boot is fantastic. I wear a 7 to 7.5 in USA brands but always a 38 in Euro.

I LOVE the new teal color! Kudos Taos! These boots need a little more padding in the ball of the foot, but I bought gels and they work fine. I'm glad I ordered the 38; I think the 39 would have slipped around unless I wore REALLY thick socks and I don't like my feet to get that hot.

I LOVE these and want them in every color. I have all kinds of foot problems--especially neuromas and arthritis--and these boots were comfortable out of the box. I got the Bordeaux color, and they are a purply brown that changes with the light. If you are on the fence, get a pair. You will not be disappointed.

I hesitated before buying these because I read a couple of reviews saying they run narrow but I'm so glad I got them. These are the most comfortable boots I own and they also happen to be very stylish. No break-in period required -- they felt great right out of the box. I sometimes need a wide width in boots but these have plenty of room even with thicker socks. I bought them in the bordeaux color and it's much more of a neutral color than I expected. Can't recommend these highly enough.

Loved these boots - so cute! Wanted to keep them, but my toes feel cramped like the toe box is a little narrow. Had to return them.

Majorly disappointed. I really wanted the violet color but it was sold out in my size...so I thought I would try the teal. On line it looked more bluish grey, and in person it does have more of a green tint. It is a beautiful boot, fits well, but I just do not L O V E it. The other thing about it is the tongue...and although the laces can be tied at a certain spot and the zipper used for on and off, I felt as though I still had to fuss with the placement of the tongue, laces and then the zipper. Just too much fuss. As far as the fit...it was good. I thought it had ample width for my foot and through the ankle. Don't know how to explain that I really thought I'd be a fan...but I'm just not. Thank you very much , however, Zappos!

I haven't loved a pair of boots so much since my beloved steel toed Doc Martens from high school. These are solid, comfy, well made - everything a gal could ask for in a combat boot. I am between an 8.5/9 and the 40 fits perfect. I think these will be well worth the money.

Although these are pricey, I have to agree they are incredibly comfortable and well made. Fit is true to size and even a bit roomy. Took a 38 and my size is 7 1/2. Leather and details on the shoes are beautiful. I was hesitant about the price but the fit, look and comfort out weight that concern. I got the grey initially but it was more of a taupe/khaki color with brown laces. Although pretty, I exchanged for the Bordeaux. It's a beautiful color and I decided to keep them. The only slight negative is that I was looking for a more flat heel for this style, but I have had plantar fasciatis twice and I know these shoes are perfect to remedy that if it ever occurs again. I also bought a pair of Frye boots, totally different style. I knew I had to make a choice between the two. I asked my entire family and they all picked these. Even my husband commented "nice boots" and he never notices anything!

I lusted after these boots for months and hoped to find them on sale; but - they are so popular I pulled the trigger and paid full price. I purchased the Taos Crave in teal and absolutely love them! It is clear why they are so popular and never go on sale. These boots are adorable and amazingly comfortable right out of the box. I usually wear a size 9 shoe but I take a 39 in Taos. I hope that next year Taos offers the Crave in more vibrant colors. I love the teal but would also like a brighter teal color. These boots are A+++++ all around!

These shoes are great! Super comfy to walk and stand in, and nice looking too. Both the Blue Ink and the Bordeaux colors are really stunning in person. My only note is that if you usually wear half sizes, you might want to size up to the next whole size rather than down.

These boots are awesome! Really! Based on some of the reviews I ordered the size 39, I'm normally between a 38 and 39, probably closer to a 38, but they were a little big so I'd say they do run true to size. Called to make an exchange, the sales rep was charming, we had a nice conversation about my upcoming trip to London, which is why I ordered the boots. I called Sunday afternoon, she said they'd ship out on Monday and would arrive on Tuesday. They were delivered on Monday. They must have magic shipping elves. The boots fit great, wore them all day, super comfortable right out of the box. And really cute! As mentioned by another customer the grey are more brownish, but that's okay, it's a good neutral color. Then today, Thursday, my cute UPS man delivered another package from Zappos. I didn't order anything. In the box was a travel purse (and I needed one!) along with a lovely note telling me to enjoy my trip! Zappos rocks!!

These boots are just the fun style I was looking for. They are such a pretty color, and very comfortable. I was surprised at how "small" my foot looks in them!

Comfortable out of the box. Slight bit of heel rub on one foot, but perhaps I should have tried re-lacing. Lots of compliments.

I first had purchased the Dromedaris Kara and found it was too big on my foot all-around and couldn't be tightened enough to feel secure. I am almost always a 7.5 (except UGG which I size down to 7). But I have thin ankles and high arches. So I exchanged the Karas for the Taos Crave. They fit perfectly and are true to size, even with winter socks on, a half size up would have been too big. They are high quality leather, I bought the grey, which is deep and rich in color. I think the Kara had a slightly more stylish look (just my personal preference) but the Crave feels good on, no break in time, wore all over downtown cold rainy Portland right when I got them and no issues. Getting lots of compliments. Love the heel-just a tad taller than some of the others while not being "tall". Overall I am very happy with these boots and I tried the other colors on in person and found them a bit too bright. The grey seems to go with everything.

These are great boots. I frequently buy Frye boots but I decided to try these and I love them. I bought the Teall color and it's really fun and different. The leather is soft out of the box and the boots are comfortable to walk in. I'm a 7 1/2 to an 8 and the 8 worked for me.

This might be the most comfortable shoe I have ever owned. I have a narrow, low volume foot and have custom orthotics. I have difficulty finding a shoe that fits, let alone one that I can wear for hours shopping and walking . Got the black which I can wear with my black leggings and skinny jeans. Love this shoe & highly recommend.

I am a size 11 and the 42 were just too small. Its too bad because I love the look of the boots. But I will be returning them.

I love this boot and wanted to keep it, if it wasn't for issues with my feet I would have kept them, good quality, soft leather, really cute boots, sadly they just don't work for me.

Ordered these in the Bordeaux and love them so much, I'm back to snag the teal. Very comfortable. Super easy to slip on and off. Stylish and did I mention comfortable? Could walk forever in these boots. Love!

These are the most adorable and comfortable boots I've ever owned. I've been shopping for work boots for years now and these are the first pair that has satisfied all my requirements in a boot.
