I recently discovered Taos and am in love! I have “bad” feet, high arches, high instep, narrow heels, and a bunion on one foot which all make it difficult to find comfortable shoes. These boots feel so comfortable that the first day I wore them I didn’t want to take them off at the end of the day! I chose Bordeaux and the color looks brown in some lighting. The laces are brown and I may swap them out for a different color. You can adjust the fit by tightening the laces but they are easy on and off with the zipper. Overall a quality, comfortable boot with great arch support.

There were so many reviews I didn't read them. My mistake. And here I go adding one more. I imagine many people have shared that the gray is not gray but brown. Not even close to gray, especially with the brown laces. Since I'm looking for gray shoes, I had to send them back. I will add that I'm usually between a 7 and 7.5, and with this shoe 7.5 would be better.

These really are great boots. I'm a size 9, ordered the 40, and they fit well, although because my feet are a little wide/cranky, a thin sock is all I can wear in them right now. I think the insole will mold to my foot, though, making them even more roomy and comfy as they age. I walk about a mile to work, and more on my lunch break, and these are good, although a bit heavy for extended wandering. Stood on concrete in them for a couple of hours last weekend, then walked my usual mile home, and my feet were comfortable the whole time. As far as color, Stone is a very pretty neutral brownish-grey, and Blue Ink is a gorgeous deep navy, and more blue than I would have expected from the pictures. Just buy them; you'll fall in love with them, too. I'm going back for red next time. :)

These boots run small. I normally wear an 11, and the largest size, 43, is too short in length. This is supposed to be the equivalent of size 12. This boggles my mind. Had to return them.

I ordered these in teal and when I opened the box they looked like dark blue/navy. But then I put them in sunlight and they looked green! In general in daylight they actually do look teal. So color is what I expected in the right light. They are good quality and comfortable. I wear a US size 10 and the size 41 is perfect

Very disappointed in the color. I wanted a red wine colored boot. These are dark brown with a hint of purple. Blah.

Only gave 4 stars on comfort because I have only worn them around the house, not extended hours. These boots are very high quality. I was a bit hesitant because of the price but very glad I went for it! The teal color is great, so much more exciting than the old black and brown options! Love this boot and the Grandkids will think I am cool! Bonus.

Beautifully crafted and sturdy boots with a handy side zipper. The teal color is to die for! But alas they're being returned. I didn't find them comfortable - perhaps it's my age, a stylish and artsy 66yo. I wear a US 7.5 and a EU 38. I was tempted to order a half size up because normally that's recommended for boots. They are true to size if you wear the boots without socks. They were too snug with light cotton ankle socks and my toes hit the front of the boot. I could order a US 8 but I won't because they weren't that comfortable to me. However, they are gorgeous boots and I sure wish I could keep them.

Loved this shoe! Very comfortable and really cute. Got the teal even though I was a little worried as some were saying it's green - I see more blue - absolutely love the color!

Love the shoes so sad they seemed to run super small. I wear a 12 and ordered a 43 and I could barely get my foot in the shoe.

Beautiful. So comfortable. Great support. I could walk miles in them and look stylish doing it. I didn't want to like these, they cost more than I wanted to spend. But, they are worth every penny.

I need to talk color (bordeaux) and sizing. I am a solid size 8. Never an 8 1/2 and never a 7 1/2. My foot is wide, but not wide enough to be a wide width. As recommended I went to the Taos website. According to them my size is 39. In European sizing I'm typically a 38. These "bordeaux" boots are not rich in color like the photos. More of a bland brown with a touch of burgundy. The top is bordeaux. Now sizing. THESE ARE NOT NARROW. The 39 as recommended for me is too wide and too long. Even with my thickest wool socks, straight out of the box they are too big. I have foot surgery coming up so I will keep them, but I am totally confused by all the sizing discrepancy. Seems like Taos is all over the place.

I’ve been looking at these boots for months. First, they are beautiful and beautifully made. I wear a size 10-1/2 so I never know what shoe will fit. I ordered size 41-42 and they where both small which was surprising as most 42 are a little large. I found the same problem with their sneakers. I wish they fit, they are beautiful.

I love these boots. Unfortunately I had to return them. I typically wear a size 42 shoe and a size 42 boot. This is the first time I have ever had to move up to a 43. The 42 was too narrow and too short for me. But as far as quality, they are well made and super cute. I definitely recommend them, as long as you find your right size! ; )

These boots are very attractive in person. The wood stacked heel, toe stitching and overall look are beautiful. Unfortunately, they cut along the top of my foot and my heel slipped a lot. They're lovely to look at but uncomfortable to wear. :(

Love these boots! Fit true to size. Extremely comfortable. The side zipper is a big plus. I have these in three different colors. They're my "go to" boots from October to March!

I have never owned a pair of Taos boots until now. I like the lace-up style, moderate heel and color selection so I decided to give them a try. I am more than pleasantly surprised! They are so comfortable! There is no break in period at all and they look great. I have a feeling I will be tempted to get other colors down the road.

Love these boots. They are so comfortable right out of the box. I was worried that they might be too heavy but the weight is balanced perfectly. I want to thank ZAPPOS for their wonderful customer service. They care about their customers and go all out to make sure everyone is happy.

I own 5 pair of these gems! They remind me of "Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants" as my mom has 3A feet, mine are narrow to D, and my daughter wears a wide shoe. Mom has extremely thin legs, mine are chunky and my daughter wears wide calf boots. Yet, we all own and love these boots!!! I wear a 9.5 and wear a 40 in Crave. They lace for fit and zip on and off for ease. I'm a science teacher and am on my feet all day and I wear my boots pretty much all winter long. I wear tugged with skinny jeans, capris, even fishnet hosiery and a pencil skirt. I absolutely love them. And because of the zipper, I'm able to get them on quickly in the morning as I'm running out the door. I am able to remove the footed and add my own orthotic, if needed, but I haven't needed to and I have been wearing these for 2 years now. The real is more green, the red is a burnished red, ink is dark navy, Bordeaux is a wine/brown, not as people as I would have liked, black tall's are...black and the tall taupe is a really nice neutral that isn't black, as I tend to get in the rut of black. The leather is nice and soft other than at the toe box. This toebox has protected my toes more than once, but really, I wear these boots for style and comfort.

These are amazing! Comfortable straight out of the box with no break in period. I have a wider foot and was a little worried these would be too narrow but, nope....perfect fit. No need to wear with a thicker sock unless you're sizing up. I typically take a size 8/8.5 and I got the 39. The black looks sharp but it is not distressed as some of the others are. The stacked heel really sets these off and gives them an edgy sort of look. Easy on and off with the side zipper. Although a little pricey, the quality is excellent and they'll never go out of style...these are boots that you'll have forever. Put them in your will because people will be fighting over these when you die :)

Love, love, love the Crave boot by Taos. I love it so much, this is my 4th pair. However, I couldn't give this particular boot a 5-star overall rating. The color says it's Teal, but it's much more of an Emerald Green. The boot I received doesn't look anything like the picture. I was disappointed as I'm not sure how practical the green will be for me. Still debating on keeping it or sending it back. They do have a Blue Ink color, but my size is out of stock. I may just wait.

I consistently wear a size 11 shoe. I looked at the size chart and it said that a size 42 corresponded to 11-11.5. I ordered that size and they were way, way too small. So I ordered size 43 (corresponding to 12-12.5) and they are also way too small. I'm so sad!!! This bootie looks absolutely perfect. I'll never know if it wears as good as it looks. But there are lots of us out here with big feet. Why not make a size that fits us???

Didn't buy these through Zappos *got them at my local Danform store* but have to say how amazing these boots are, even though a bit expensive. Will buy my 2nd pair here at Zappos. Agree with others who say better than Frye's, which I always wanted, but no style was every really comfortable for me. Also always wanted a combat-motorcycle type boot and THIS IS IT. I wear 8 1/2 and these are true to size. I have a wide'ish foot, but no issues with this boot. Out of the box I wore them all day. Absolutely comfortable. Bordeaux color is gorgeous! LOVE LOVE LOVE. Husband said, "you finally found your boots, huh?" Why yes, yes I did!!! GET THEM!!! :)
